I had heat damage to my home due to a nearby fire caused by irresponsible neighbors using illegal fireworks. I was unable to fully close a French door and the window next to it was next to go. They removed the window and door and installed an oversized slider. They also removed a window from a bedroom and installed a French door. They also replaced three other windows I had considered getting done. There were many workers that arrived timely. They were kind and respectful. I initially thought my double pane windows were energy efficient so I didn't think much about the heat radiating through the windows in the afternoon. It was inefficient for us to turn on the AC when the afternoon sun shined through our windows when my kids nap and eat dinner. My wife and I shopped around and visited showrooms to check out different windows. We were so excited to use this family owned small business as our windows company for a big project. After experiencing multiple issues along the way I hate to say but our experience was not the best and we spent $11k on a sliding door and windows. First, the sliding door we ordered was installed incorrectly and catching so it would hardly close or latch. The latch itself was cracked and had a screw coming out of it. They had to come back out after I made a complaint and cut the piece that was catching down and had to replace the entire piece the latch was on and get us a new handle. Then one of the windows installed did not pass egress due to size. This is not entirely their fault I understand it somehow got past our framers and the windows specialist. However, we ended up having to replace a brand new window that was installed almost immediately after installation, when it was time for final payment they realized the pricing was wrong on the paper and off by $1000 so after everything was installed we were asked to send over and additional 1k due to their mistake of writing the wrong amount on the form. Then, I noticed the stickers on our false dormers were left on the interior portion of the windows there is no access to them because they are false dormers! I called and complained and their solution was for me to crawl through my attic access and to try to access through the roof there. There is no roof access so we would have to cut a hole? Umm no this is not my mistake so why am I being suggested to fix this?!! The dad (owner) I felt was getting defensive when I brought it to his attention. They get 2 stars bc the ordering process was easy. But everything there after completely fell apart. And for how much money we spent I am absolutely dissatisfied. I would not recommend this company in the future. I get it mistakes happen but the way the last issue was handled was my last straw. read more

I liked how Jack showed a demonstration of how well his glass stands when heat gets in contact, so you know the quality of the glass you are receiving. David worked hard to give me a run down of the numbers when I wanted to know my options to take advantage of Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credits (https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/energy-efficient-home-improvement-credit). In the end I went with seven Elite window upgrades on the south-facing side of my house to reduce the impact of the summer sun. So, we called to set up an appointment to get a bid to have some exterior doors and security screen doors replaced. 3 in all. The man who answered and made the appt for us was very nice. He said Jack would be here at 1 p.m. (1-16-25) So, today, we are ready, Jack doesn't show up at 1, still no call or heads up that he is on his way. I did call in the morning to confirm the day and time. 1:10 rolls around and we get a call, Jack is running late and says he will be here at 1:30. He arrives just a bit after that and we head out to greet him only to wait 5 minutes while he continues on his phone in his car without noticing we are there and ready, waiting. When he finally notices he actually jumped a bit, got off his phone immediately and got out of the car. We get to the first door and he starts right in on how we should replace this security door because theirs "install" easier. This screen door is perfect, not needing replaced like the other 2 doors do. so we tell him this one doesn't need replaced. He starts expressing that basically that would be a huge mistake and that if we kept our security door we would have visible holes between the door and the screen that will let bugs into the house. (We already know this is impossible if they install the door itself correctly, thresh hold and all.) This is not our first bid for these doors plus my husband knows a lot about construction and how things are put together. Either which way, we asked, just out of curiosity, how much the security screen door would be. He is able to calculate that out right away which is a first and comes back with 1600 dollars, just for the security door, not including the exterior door or labor for any of it. I about laughed in his face. I then said, if that is the least expensive security door he has then there is no way we will be going with his company. All of the sudden he tells us how he has several other security doors that are much less expensive. Then why start with the most expensive? He didn't even ask us if we had a budget, just went right for the kill hoping we would say, ok, come on in, shall we bend over and spread as well? Ridiculous. We gave them a try because of their Yelp reviews. You all must have deep pockets, that or Jack is new and just wanting to make as much money as possible. All he did though was lose a sale. Had he been on time and professional, had he shown any interest in what we were looking for rather then what he wanted to sell us, we might have gone with SoCal Windows & Doors. As a side note, after all the wasted time, on his way out, he said they do not typically do exterior doors, more like patios and sliders. I was very specific to the office worker who answered that we were looking for exterior doors and he said no problem. Serious waste of time & someone should let Jack know he is not a very good salesman, at least not with us. read more
