This is pretty fucking good and not extremely expensive like many other places like this. Hard to find because the name isn't on the building. It was the correct place luckily for me when I came by. This is located on Broadway at 101st on the Upper West Side. Beware there's only room for a couple of customers. Order a smoothie or a bowl, and they make it fresh. It's about $11 for a bowl. The prices are decent. I had the Açaí Peanut Butter Bowl. This came with the frozen pureed açaí, and was topped with coconuts, granola, and peanut butter of course. It doesn't have any room for seating inside because it's such a small building. It's takeout only. That's okay because the Hudson River waterfront will only be a few blocks away and that's a cool place for eating bowls and such.

This smoothie has the perfect combination of avocado, spinach, cucumber, banana, and peanut butter. The staff make it super creamy (not icy at all) and you can always taste the flavor of avocado and peanut butter, but they do not overpower the drink. The large size is usually sufficient for a meal and keeps me full for a few hours. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating; they always confirm your order and choice of milk in advance. While the shop is clean, it is very small so there isn't much seating inside with only one stool, but they provide bags for grab and go.

Wowww, who remembers the self-serve frozen yogurt trend in the early 2010s? Froyo shops used to pop…read moreup left and right during those times... and now so many have closed down. I've always been a sucker for this frozen treat, so I'm glad Red Mango is still around. This location is in an Edgewater shopping plaza. I came by on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy! They have a decent amount of tables and seating inside. Other than froyo, they also serve juices, smoothies, power bowls, and coffee. They have 6 froyo machines with 12 different flavors - a mix of sweet, nutty, tarty, and fruity. There aren't any nutrition facts posted on the machines, so be mindful of dietary restrictions/allergies. You can ask the staff for sample cups. It's all self-serve so you choose your cup, pick your flavors, dispense the handle, and swirl away. Then you can add on as many toppings as you want at the counter. There's nuts, candies, fruits, cookies, sauces, etc. They charge you $0.89 per ounce so it's really easy to rack up $$$. I got the Creamy Taro and Original flavors with strawberries, gummy bears, and mochi. The froyo texture was just right - not too icy and not too watery. It had a smooth, soft-serve like texture. The flavors were true to their names and tasted exactly how they're supposed to. The original was tarty and tangy, just how I like it. My cup was about $9. Service could have been a bit better. There were two employees at the time. They didn't greet customers or tend to them at the machines. The line was moving a bit slow since one girl was working the register and making drink/bowl orders at the same time. Some of the toppings at the counter needed to be refilled. Overall, this is a good spot to fulfill your frozen yogurt cravings.

Right where the strawberry yogurt machine is, there were ANTS crawling all over the trays. Not just one or two but multiple ants visibly moving around the machine where people are supposed to be serving themselves food. It was absolutely DISGUSTING. This is a serious health concern.I immediately lost my appetite and walked out. I would strongly recommend that nobody come to this store unless they want to risk eating in an unsanitary environment. This needs to be addressed immediately because it is honestly shocking that this place is allowed to operate like this.

This place has become a staple in my relationship. It's where we had our official first date at…read more It's within the park, and there's plenty of ample parking around the park with a short walk down to the Playa Bowls. Bathroom The bathroom is for customers only, and you get the code from within. It's a GORGEOUS bathroom, well-kept. There are public restrooms outside of the establishment that are not that great, but if you don't want to buy something make sure to have some hand sanitizer with you. They're clearly the park's bathrooms and not the establishments responsibility. Seating There is no seating indoors, which is a bummer. I would love to enjoy the atmosphere of this park some more from inside. Especially on a hot summer day, I'm in no mood to get burned by the metal chairs overlooking the lake. Needless to say, the views are stunning even while just waiting for our food to be ready! Park Itself I haven't experienced this park in full depth as much as I want to because like I said, there's no seating inside. There is small walking trails, but whenever we go, weather is not on our side. The first time we came here, it started raining and we created an in-car theatre instead which was lovely! But in general, after that, and since it's been diabolically hot ever since we've always took our meals back into the car. There are cars driving up at the bottom of the park, right next to Playa Bowls. It caught me off-guard, so if you're with kids or pets be sure to keep an eye out for them. Selection I love the fact that there is something so healthy to eat in a gorgeous spot! There is a HUGE selection, and I love being able to try a new bowl each time. My favorite so far has been the Pink Flamingo. It is a cold treat, so it is perfect on a hot summer day! Be mindful that protein powder can give some people an upset stomach or the runs, and if you're sensitive, I suggest trying a bowl that doesn't include that. Each item lists ingredients, and you can customize it to your needs. I have not been able to finish a full bowl myself, and get full off of 3/4 of it. My man has finished his and whatever is left over of mine. It is satisfying for a big burly man like himself though. Other Notable Mentions The establishment also has a bowl of water of dogs walking through the park if they need a quick drink, which I think is the sweetest thing ever! There's also a Cuban coffee shop, Rumbas Cafe, right across from Playa Bowls. I haven't been in it myself yet, but I did try one of the coffees my man ordered himself briefly one day. Overall I hope to see some indoor seating open up soon. There is an upstairs, but supposedly it's locked to the public still. Crossing my fingers that it's in the works! Everyone who works here is really nice, and our food is always done quite quickly. The shop is well-lit and has AC. Great park for photo ops, walking, dates, and/or family-time. Well-thought out location for a great treat!

This location is within the park right in front of the entrance to the lake. The view is beautiful! It's a quick service establishment, but the service was great.
