Came here on a Sunday afternoon to get some work done. My boyfriend got an iced coffee while I got a strawberry lemonade. I had a sip of my lemonade, and it tasted like strawberry syrup water and I couldn't taste the lemonade at all. The drink tasted horrible. I normally don't like to complain at cafes or restaurants but given that this lemonade was $7 before tax, we decided to ask the staff if they put lemonade in the drink. The staff answered they had no lemonade. We were very confused because they did not mention that they were out of lemonade when we ordered or even when they handed us the order. It was kinda unbelievable that they would just gave this strawberry syrup water to us when we ordered strawberry lemonade. The staff offered us another free drink after and I just got a matcha latte. Fairly poor experience here. While I appreciated them offering us another drink after we complain, not every one feels comfortable complaining. If we didn't complain, we would've wasted $7. This place would've been perfect for working otherwise. They had a lot of tables and pretty fast WiFi. All their drinks were very expensive though, with most of them being $7-9 before tax. read more

Nice and clean space! Quiet enough to get some work done or read. I ordered the pistachio matcha latte with oat milk and it was absolute perfection! You taste the earthiness of the matcha but the sweetness is just right in my opinion to give some balance. Just give the drink a swirl to mix everything and you're good to go. There seemed to be only one guy working there at the time and he did a great job handling everything. He had a good spirit about him and I hope he's there the next time I go to make my drink again. This place is crowded and packed with people working on their laptops. The wait for the drinks took some time as there were only two people making the drinks. I got the Moka Spiced Latte hot, which tasted great. I also ordered the Adeni Chia, as I am familiar with this drink and ordered it frequently at a competing Yemini coffee shop. Unfortunately, I liked the competing coffee shop better as it seems like they forgot to add the sugar as it was not sweet at all. We also got a few of the pastries, which tasted great. Tried the Pistachio Croissant and Spinach & Feta Bistro and am a fan of both. read more

The service is amazing and I haven't really tried their desserts, but they look amazing and hopefully next time I go, I'm gonna get their desserts. Their Matcha is really good as well. That is probably the only drink I've tried but hopefully I will try more. The ambience is beautiful. It's soothing and calming. I love it. read more

Upon first entering my first two thoughts were: wow what a beautiful space and wow it's so expensive lol. I got the saffron latte and thought it was very fine- it was pretty mellow and I didn't feel like the coffee was that strong (it was almost watery?). Not to mention it was $9 for the latte itself, $1 for oat milk, PLUS another $1 for iced!? I thought it was a bit insane and the drink itself really wasn't worth it to me. I also didn't care for the service- the person helping me seemed bored and over it. Again, the space itself was really nice- plenty of space to work, good light, a huge restroom...just really expensive though I am willing to give it another try since it seems others really enjoy it! read more

Turkish coffee was great and the serving platter made me feel like a queen. Only complaint is if there wasn't Turkish delight on the side. There were open booths, which is a lot to ask of the upper west side! Baked goods looked not all homemade, but frankly, I didn't try them. read more

Lovely cafe with a friendly staff. Lots of seating and an outlet in the corner by the window if you want to get some work done. But the music, although very zen, is a little too loud. The coffee is good but expensive. But where they excel is with their cakes. Huge servings big enough to share. The pistachio mousse cake is chock full of nuts. Well worth it. I'm thinking most of my visits will be for their cakes. Since the large Starbucks with all the seating closed there's been a void of good spots to work in. Love this new cafe in UWS! They have an extensive menu with both classic and specialty drinks. I tried Lavender Matcha and it was delicious! There were also samples of the Yemeni coffee and it was very good - it's creamy and not too sweet. They also have a ton of pastries and seating in the cafe. The staff was nice and service was quick. Highly recommend trying this spot - I can't wait to come back and try more. read more

Great new cafe off of Broadway. Unfortunately, the first drink I tried was not to my taste (don't know what I was expecting, but most drinks on the menu were new to me) but the two gentlemen working were kind enough to swap it out for something else. Plenty of seating in a nice and clean atmosphere. Of note is I think some of their traditional drinks may use white coffee, which is a little milder than what I was used to. It was clear that the staff cared very much about the quality of the drinks, and put a lot of energy into making each beverage excellent. It was fun to try something new! read more

Wandered by this business and decided to try something new. I asked the gentleman taking my order what his favorite menu item was for a coffee as I had never been or had a Yemeni coffee before and he recommended Mufawar. My husband also got a pizza croissant because it sounded too good to pass up. My coffee was entirely too hot while the pizza croissant was not nearly hot enough. Pizza croissant taste was great and we had planned on just taking a few bites but wound up eating the whole thing. The coffee was....not for me. I would not go so far as to say it was bad but the type of spice was not anything I have had before and I could not get past the strong spice taste as cardamom is not something that I have on a regular basis. The space itself was beautiful and I could envision taking a break from the bustle of the city with a nice hot beverage on a regular basis. I just have to find the right menu item for me. read more

The Fruit tart was great... the coffee was very tasty....a very elegant place.. great Ambience.. Nice place for this new trend or slew of Yemen places opening all over. From SF (New Montgomery st) to Astoria to W'burg to UWS, I have no idea what govt subsidies or info is causing a raising of awareness of Yemen coffees. I myself discovered Sana'ani this year, which is coffee w cardamom. And for less caffeine I get radani. Due to my aversion to cinnamon (more allergy!) I skip the tea chai. The desserts are also yum looking and several friends have tried. Overall friendly enough. Sometimes english is limited but ordering coffee is mostly universal. The only wish I have is sturdier cups because the coffee comes out piping hot. Or I'd prefer a bit of cold water at bottom so it's cooled down some. Very nice mugs and packaged coffee. read more

I wanted to love this place and it is cute and I lI've sitting there. BUT the cake isn't great and the tea literally tastes like burnt dirt. The wait times are also ridiculous. We waited 25 minutes for drinks and food. the staff is very sweet. They just seem a bit unorganized and in over their head. I love Yemenite food and come from a Middle East background but the spices here are just off. read more

I love their classic Moka spice latte, and I just tried and loved their pistachio latte. Their Dubai chocolate is great, and so is the Dubai chocolate croissant they have! The baristas are always super nice. It's a great space to spread out and get work done or chat with a friend over some coffee. read more

Paid $16 for an iced adeni chai and a jubani, and what I got was, effectively, a cup of ice water with some cream, and a cup of hot water with some cardamom sprinkled in. Place & people seem nice but those drinks were wack. read more

I got the Maleki Coffee because the description sounded great. But it tastes & looks like there's no coffee in it. I'm not sure if they made it wrong or that's just how it is. It's just milk with spices. I would've asked but I didn't try it until I got home because it was really hot. I still want to try their pistachio latte. Amazing cultural items such as food and drinks, I loved the yemeni cuisine here. The service was off the charts, I made a couple of mistakes ordering and instead of showing any anger I was actually constantly helped by the server. 10/10 Yemeni coffee, I highly recommend this place to the world. And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
