Honey lavender latte

Had gone in to Maman to grab a latte. Loved the aesthetic decor inside. Had ordered the honey lavender latte, which was pretty good.

Beautiful display of baked goods. Food was delicious & we only had to wait a little for a table. Good iced caramel latte

This is the second time to Maman in my visits to NYC. First time to this location. A block from the Natural History Museum. I love the ambience. It's quaint and service is friendly. A great way to start your morning. Very pretty. Gluten Free options! And a collab with Martha Stewart.

The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and totally unique. I like the selection with a lot of vegan and gluten free options, kombucha and matcha. But I don't think the high prices are justified here. $16 for a small tuna sandwich and the gluten free bread is $4 extra - it was good, but not worth it.

Almond croissant latte (seasonal Martha Stewart drink)

It was very cutie in here and the staff were so kind, they adjusted sweetness for me and gave me some fun suggestions! It definitely seems like one of the more lack luster locations of a maman (comparing to other locations pictures) but was still rlly cute! Martha Stewart is posted up everywhere in here so love that #taxfraudqueen, the drink was also good and not too sweet at all! Wish they had a snoop dog collab tho. I got the seasonal special almond croissant latte, tho I did ask for it hot and they gave me iced, which I'm not pressed about just a lil thang cus it was cold out and it made my fingers more cold cus I apparently have zero blood flow to my hands, anywaysss I digress - cute! Yummy! Whipped cream was fire not gonna lie, andddd yea was good and not too far a walk from the park :)

Came for brunch on the weekend, and surprisingly didn't have to wait for a table! It's first come first serve, so if there's an open table you can just grab a seat. A server will come by to take your order. I ordered the Belgium Waffles & they were so buttery & yummy. It's topped with an apple and corn sauce on top - I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. The Breakfast Bowl is nothing special but so tasty - it comes with potatoes, avocado & bacon. The matcha latte was okay, tasted kind of bland and the matcha flavor didn't come through too much. The pistachio chocolate croissant on the other hand was unique and I would come back for that! Overall cute brunch spot with floral decor, good for catching up with a friend or a casual brunch!

Honestly I was underwhelmed! The outdoor seating is nice and so were the staff, but these cookies just had all the wrong ratios for me

This is such a cute and quaint cafe in the upper west side. We had planned to go to the Hayden planetarium at the American national history museum and wanted to get a quick bite before that. Maman was the perfect spot as it located with a 8 minute walk of the museum. Maman is such a pleasant space with a nice indoor and outdoor seating. Our host was really nice and got us promptly seated upon arrival. We ordered the carol's tomato basil soup, smashed avocado tartine, granola parfait and the honey lavender latte. Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. I love the beautiful cup that the latte was give in. You can tell the restaurant puts a lot of attention to details and aesthetics. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and would love to visit again.

Iced Mocha and Strawberry Almond Croissant

I always know it's going to be a good day if I go to maman! First of all, their bakery case it to die for - a heavenly assortment of cookies, croissants, doughnuts, etc. Just looking at it is such a serotonin boost. And their coffee is very very delicious - my favorite is a classic iced mocha! I would recommend the pistachio croissant, nutella beignet, strawberry almond croissant, and their standard chocolate chip cookie. Another note - their food menu is quite delicious as well!! The ambience is gorgeous always - beautifully decorated, beautiful flowers, and lovely china to serve the dishes. Everyone working there is so kind and helpful always! If you find yourself near a maman, do yourself a favor and stop by. In the wise words of Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford: Treat yo'self!

This is my 500 review hence I better make it a good one. While I reflected on this past year, I enjoyed a delicious chocolate chip cookie and hot chocolate from this restaurant. The waitress who served me was very helpful. She suggested the house's special hot chocolate and the nutty chocolate chip cookie. Moreover, she didn't rush me to leave the communal table even though I was there for a while. She made me smile with her cheerful "Happy Holidays!" Thus, I give this restaurant 5 stars. The service was excellent. Moreover, the hot chocolate and cookie exceeded my expectations.

This space feels more like a full-service restaurant than a café. They offer a full menu featuring Georgian dishes, and my friend tried khachapuri for the first time and loved it. The server mixed the egg into the cheese tableside, which was a nice touch. I also noticed several people stopping in for an early dinner. Seating is comfortable but mostly communal, with long shared tables. My biggest issue here was the service, which unfortunately was very poor. Something as simple as getting sweetener for my tea required tracking down our waiter multiple times, and requests were repeatedly forgotten. My tea water even went cold while waiting. Despite the cute atmosphere, the service experience was frustrating enough that I don't think I'd return for a full meal.

I am happy to say it was just as tasty when delivered. The fries were still crispy and pita that came with my bf's falafel plate was hot and steamy (and delicious) as was the labneh! My bf really loved the falafel bowl plate dish and said the falafel was crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. I had some of his pita with the labneh which was divine! Really tasty olive oil. Tuna melt was just as delicious and satisfying as in person. I was surprised the toasted bread was still crispy and not soggy at all like it often can get from take out. I also appreciate that Effys always uses only perfectly ripe avocados it is so noticeable! Also their fried pickles are dangerously good, and their prices are very reasonable. I normally don't like to complain at cafes or restaurants but given that this lemonade was $7 before tax, we decided to ask the staff if they put lemonade in the drink. The staff answered they had no lemonade. We were very confused because they did not mention that they were out of lemonade when we ordered or even when they handed us the order. It was kinda unbelievable that they would just gave this strawberry syrup water to us when we ordered strawberry lemonade. The staff offered us another free drink after and I just got a matcha latte. Fairly poor experience here. While I appreciated them offering us another drink after we complain, not every one feels comfortable complaining. If we didn't complain, we would've wasted $7. This place would've been perfect for working otherwise. They had a lot of tables and pretty fast WiFi. All their drinks were very expensive though, with most of them being $7-9 before tax.

First of all, I have to mention the prices: we got 6 pastries and 2 hot chocolates for just over $40: a steal in this economy. Second, it was mostly authentic: the "francia krémes" (which they call a "Napoleon" here for some reason) was quite close to how they serve it in Hungary, save for the caramelized and sickeningly sugary top (which I skipped). The "dobos torta" had the reverse problem: its top--the eponymous "drum"--was authentic, but the meat of it far, far too chocolatey. Guys, a slice of "dobos" is NOT supposed to put you in a diabetic coma! It is not even meant to be very chocolatey! It is supposed to be much more subtle, even savory. The pastries we took home, which included several "rétesek," received high reviews as well. The servers were nice, but did not speak Hungarian. My only other critique would be that the space is incredibly cramped. You will be elbow-to-elbow with various Columbia students. My companion also told me the bathroom was filthy.
