Profits over service, no customer service…read more Cleaning was done 6 days ago. Had an overflowing gutter just days later that caused interior water damage. Upon inspection discovered downspout was blocked with debris up to the gutter. Contract called for blow out of downspouts. It is clear that it was missed. Management took no responsibility. Was rude and dismissive. Mis-reported facts, and when that was pointed out, just didn't address the misstatements. Blamed owner for not properly maintaining downspout (?!). Mad that we complained and rather than work out the problem suggested we go elsewhere.

GREAT WORK & CUSTOM SERVICE!!!…read more Was in need of some quick leaf removal before our city street sweepers came through to vacuum them up - got a phone call on Sunday from Andrew and he was super cool, set a quick day/time and came over to knock it out. We have a rather large backyard and he went all the way to the back of the fence line and started blowing them into piles - it looked amazing when he was finished! The owner emailed over the invoice with a nice message asking if my wife & I were satisfied with the finished products and everything. Just randomly found this company on Yelp, but would highly recommend them! Thanks again Andrew!

Darryl was the first handyman to arrive at our home. One of the projects he had been hired to…read morecomplete was to remove all old moldy/mildewed caulk from one of the upstairs showers. He did not do this. Instead he went over (most of) the old caulk with new. We sent photos to the office and made it clear that we were not happy and that this was not what we were paying for. They agreed and sent Stephen to our home. He was polite and easy to work with. He completed the work on the shower and then left. Two days later Darryl arrived at our home again to start the drywall repair and remaining projects. When we went in to our kitchen we realized that he had completely ignored or forgotten the specific instructions we had given him the day he arrived. Our plumber who had fixed the 2 leaks upstairs (water came down through our kitchen ceiling) had pointed out that a fairly large section of the kitchen ceiling was actually bowed slightly downward because apparently water had been sitting there for awhile before he was able to come out and complete the repairs. He told us that whoever fixed the ceiling needed to cut out that entire section and repair it. We passed all of this information on to both the owner of the company and Darryl. When we pointed out his mistake, Darryl became angry with us. At this point we reached out to the office and told them not to send him to our home again. At some point in this project we were asked to pay for the potion of the work that had been completed. We agreed, but should not have. The next day we realized that we had been charged for the entire project. Alarmed, we reached out to the owner and demanded assurance from him that we would not receive another bill once the work was completed. His texted response is below. At this point we realized that we had been ripped off by this company. We reached out to the owner and made it clear that he would get no more money from us. We also told him not to send any more employees to our home. By the end of the day we had received a voicemail from him stating that after he had checked over all of the initial photos and texts we had exchanged, including the phone conversations we had with him, that there had been some sort of miscommunication. Well, there was no miscommunication on our part. We had made sure that we sent all of the necessary photos and explanations including the information our plumber had given us. We had answered all of the owners questions prior to accepting the bid. In his voicemail the owner told us that he hoped we would allow him to send an employee out to finish the work and that we would not be asked to pay any more money. At this point we had to decide if we trusted him. After thinking it over we decided that we did not. We found someone else to complete the work. We would never recommend this company to anyone.

Original: I hired this company based on reviews and I am very disappointed that I did. I have had nothing but problems with them. No communication, weeks on end of getting the work done, told they would contact me but then just showed up finally to do it without any notice that they would be on my property. I had to use my video surveillance to see what day they showed up. Now they have double charged me for the work. I would not recommend them.

I had old gutters removed and new ones installed. They were installed incorrectly and pitch heavily upward so that any spill over will leak directly into my home. I will now have to have gutters removed and issue corrected by another company for twice the original cost. I was advised that Scott-Lee Guttering Company does not do any carpentry work, which is in no way advertised on their website or communicated during the job. I recommend avoiding and finding a company that is upfront with their customers with what must be done to correctly perform their service instead of acting like there is no issue and doing a job incorrectly to simply get it done. It was rainy, but without any doubt he pulled out his ladder and got to work. He diagnosed, corrected and filled me in on the problem in less than 10 minutes. He was also just so up-right and friendly!! It was like he were a worker from an idealized 1950s.
