Nice little place in Woodside Queens. Got the pork sisig, Laing (taro leaves sautéed in coconut…read moremilk) and the Palabok Overload. Pork Sisig 5/5 - the sisig did not disappoint. Came out in a sizzling platter with an egg and diced peppers topped with a red Thai? chili. It gets crispy as it sits and combined with the garlic rice is chef's kiss. Taro Leaves Sautéed in Coconut Milk 3/5 - not my cup of tea, it's a little bit on the heavy side, has a strong coconut milk flavor. Wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Palabok Overload 3/5 - was excited for this since I really enjoy Jollibee's Palabok. However, this dish lacked flavor. The sauce was lacking in flavor, it was not as shrimpy or seasoned as Jollibees. Combined with the noodles, it tasted even blander. The lumpia, calamari were good tho. This was a small restaurant but service was good. Food came out fast and staff was friendly and attentive.

Halo-halo was loaded and can be shared amongst 2 people. Service was quick and courteous, very respectful waiter that served us and made sure to give us an extra cup for sharing the Halo-halo, for me and my wife. Ambiance is quaint, ample seating I'd say for parties of 2 or 4.

Well, for $11.99 for a combo meal consisting of rice with two dishes and a drink, you can't ask for more better place. The folks that work here reminds me of grandma's cooking in the kitchen. The meals are incredibly delicious. The place is very plane fast food restaurant. It is a Turo-Turo style restaurant. All the main dishes are there to chose from. This place is not a fancy restaurant like Max, but you certainly won't spend $100 for dinner for two. I highly recommend this restaurant. Try next time you're in Jersey City, NJ

Classic dishes include pancit, adobo, sinigang, kare-kare, and lechon. They even include dipping sauces on the side. Dessert is included, however if you want to indulge in halo-halo that comes at a separate charge but worth it. Seating area is large and tables are plentiful. There is no table service, but it's not needed or missed at the self service Sunday buffet. The operators are busy hustling food and answering phones but chat with a smile when asked questions. Such good Filipino food, plentiful and at a great price should be bookmarked in your favorites.

I'm glad to see they have a brick & mortar now and the space is well-designed and the kitchen area overlooking the pastry display, there's some seating which was nice to see (I was expecting none), and the staff was so friendly! It was a Thursday around 10am and thankfully there was no line and they were still fully stocked. We got a bunch of pastries that I came in wanting to try and others that just caught my eye. Everything was honestly fantastic. If you're not looking to spend ~$40 on pastries, then the standouts I would get were the Passionfruit Matcha Danish, Ube Donut, and Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake in that order. The Passionfruit Matcha Danish was a perfect pastry (and I don't ever say that). The passionfruit cream actually tasted like passionfruit, the fact that they use Kettl matcha shows they take quality seriously, and the white chocolate ganache mixed with the matcha powder made for such a creamy, delicious, and earthy bite. The fried brioche on the Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake was so pillowy and fresh and I loved the white chocolate chantilly. The Ube Donut was honestly quite dense but what I liked about it was that it was filled to the brim with ube pastry cream! And this cream tasted unlike any other ube cream I've had; it had some texture (not fully creamy), great ube flavor, and balanced sweetness. I found the ube glaze on the outside to be too sticky and slightly weird but the ube brioche & pastry cream helped me quickly look past that. Both drinks we got were also beautifully crafted, the flavors were spot on, and the layers were distinct. They looked better than they tasted but honestly, I'm comparing it to the incredible pastries so it's a high bar. I wish they had more savory (non-pork) pastry options. All in all, a great first visit here and I'd definitely come back!

My dining companion and I opted for the Family Meal which is only $45 a person. It's a great deal and so much food that we both had enough to take home for the following day. The music is everything here, my millennial heart is so happy when I'm eating dinner to nostalgic tunes. I think I've probably had everything on this menu. The flavors are incredible, the dishes have their own unique spin to them. 1. Food: you really can't go wrong with any of it. I typically order the sisig, Khao Soi (favorite) and ribs. 2. Environment: super cool, it feels very artsy and the music makes this place feel almost clubby but in a chill way? 3. Service: the staff is always helpful. They ask if you've been there every time. they make great suggestions and they are very quick and efficient. Definitely give this place a try! It's on the pricier end of things but it's worth it.
