Outstanding service from Menooa. His honesty is refreshing. I thought my mini splits were not functioning correctly in the heat mode. It turns out I was not setting the temperature right. He was kind enough to check the condenser for issues as well. He also looked at the 60+ year old gas furnace to see if it could be repaired. Will use him for all future HVAC servicing. My heater crapped out. I had another technician come out to look at the problem yesterday. He advised me to do a full HVAC replacement along with an expansion of all my ducts and vents. It would run me between 14 and 22k, depending on which system I chose. I called Menooa for a second opinion. He was over within an hour, isolated the problem to a failing inducer fan motor, went out for the part, came back with a new one and had my unit humming before noon. The motor cost $850 (the other guy said it would cost at least $1500). Menooa charged me $50 labor. I'm not saying the system is going to last forever, but for a house we plan to sell within the next year or so, replacing the motor was a much more welcome solution, and I felt Menooa had no interest in seeing me spend more money than I need to. For a fast, honest and reasonably-priced solution to your Heating/AC problem, I can't recommend Menooa and So Cal AC&Heating highly enough! read more

Menooa and his team did great work removing my wall AC unit and a built-in gas wall heater, capping the gas line, and installing a new more efficient heat pump. None of the other contractors I contacted would do the patching on the walls. Menooa's team patched the interior and exterior walls the same day as the installation and did an excellent job smoothing out the plaster. Once I paint the walls, the work will be invisible. After I paid the deposit, the crew was able to come the next day and finished all the work by 3 p.m. so that I'm further along on this project than I anticipated. The price beat the two other contractors who bid on the job and included the patchwork on the walls. So, I was very happy with the value I received from So Cal Air. I recently moved into a multilevel home with a minisplit HVAC system with zones on each floor. One of the floors was blowing warm air regardless of thermostat settings while the others were blowing cold air. Unfortunately, diagnosing the issue and fixing it required dealing with the manufacturer's awful and nonresponsive customer support, but Menooa was able to eventually identify switched wiring between the controllers and the outdoor unit, and the fix was quick and easy after that. He thoroughly tested the system before leaving to ensure everything was working properly. Throughout the experience, I always felt that Menooa was being communicative and transparent about what the issue might be, and what fix it required. Had a big brand corporate HVAC co come out. They gave an estimate that seemed high for fixing a a tear. Amazing Customer Service!! My furnace starting making a very loud rumbling. I called another HVAC company and they told me they could replace the motor on the furnace, but the bottom line was I needed a new furnace. I got an estimate from the first company and then called So Cal Air Conditioning and Heating to get a second opinion. Menooa arrived within a couple hours of my calling him. He took one look at the furnace and agreed that it was time to say goodbye. Menooa gave me an estimate on the spot, came in $300 less than the other company, and even offered to lend me some space heaters over the weekend while I was making my decision.
