    Cheese burger with tots
    Drew M.

Hidden gem. Love the view of the Paluxy river, great service (friendly and quick) then the burger, oh the burger. Homemade taste to the thick patty with a slight hint of seasoning. The taste was amazing. The tots were crisp and hot. Definitely try the Tavern!

    Private river access for pets!

Great service from Scott and staff (unfortunately didn't caught the names of the two young waitresses that helped us, but they were amazing!) This establishment is super dog friendly, staff brought our pets a water bowl and gave them treats(they did ask permission beforehand)! , has an outside patio (shaded with fans) for pet parents! :) prices are extremely cheap for the riverside seating you receive and the fantastic food (personally had the ultimate burger with goat cheese, jalapeños, avocado, and typical burger toppings with sweet potato fries), they had an excellent beer selection as well! (i had 3 different beers that were all recommendations from Scott), the establishment is a bit difficult to see from the street but does have private parking if you pull into a small driveway beside the Inn! :) we were able to bring our pups right down to the river for a swim, they also have trees that keep the grass area shaded, you're able to have a nice relaxing sit by the river and not get brunt by the sun! We will definitely recommend and return anytime we're in the area! :))

Limited menu and not very exciting. However the waitstaff is fab and the tea is pretty good. And I'm a tea snob.

Being a semi-regular visitor to Granbury, I have always wanted to be able to visit Brew Drinkery,…read moreespecially since I've sampled many, many beers from not just the US, but from everywhere else. My first visit to this location was yesterday, a Wednesday. Two of the people there were the bartender/owner Jacoby, and Mary who was in charge of the selections. Their beer offering was not a printed list, but a list displayed on three big screen TVs. There were 40 taps and only ONE "stable", the Guinness. A few non-Texas beers, but mostly they were Texas crafts. I actually liked that because that was their goal/model. I was able to sample 7 beers I have never tried before. Considering my purchased record at my home store is 707. That being said, if you're looking for a "stable", go next door to The Filling Station. BUT, if you're willing and want to expand your pallette, and you're in town for whatever reason, this is THE place for that. All of their pints are $7-8, a very reasonable price. Came tonight because it was "pint night" featuring Cowtown Beers, four of them. Fired off a flight, enjoyed them all. $10 for all four. Oh yeah, the best part, at least for now, they have the Chimay Cinq Cents on tap for $9.50.

Apparently their website is not up to date and was hacked so they can't update the website. The menu is very limited, but still has decent options. They mainly have pizza but when I searched online it said they had all these different kind of bowls (Greek chicken bowl, Cuban bowl, etc.) Well they only have one on the menu. And the rest is pub bar food. Also it was advertised it was a bar and restaurant, not a bar that happens to serve food. Our experience wasn't terrible, the staff was very nice, we were just expecting more of a restaurant experience, vs ordering at the bar and waiting for food. Overall the food was decent. Just came out kinda slow and out of order. Probably won't be back here in the near future with kids, but if you're looking for a bar with friendly staff, this is that. The bathrooms are really clean too, so that's a plus.

Happy hour specials are amazing and most drinks/a few apps are $5. I really enjoyed the flavored margaritas and the fried pickles in particular. I'm not even a huge fan of fried pickles typically but these were crispy and just the right amount of tangy and I devoured the entire plate. I got a cup of mac and cheese as well, which was the perfect snack to go with my drinks. Hot and creamy and just the right amount of flavoring. This is not my usual style of restaurant, but some people might find it appealing it. The service was good! Our waitress was nice and got us our food quickly. The restaurant was actually pretty empty for being a Tuesday afternoon. The part that brought my rating down so much was due to the food being very average. My burger did not really taste beefy or char-grilled. Rather, it tasted similar to a frozen patty made at home which I would have enjoyed equally if not maybe more. The fries were not enjoyable to me at all. Fries are my number one comfort food and it hurt me to have to leave most of them on the plate to be trashed, but I just couldn't get them down. I'm not sure if the made the BBQ sauce in house or not, but it was overly smokey and I couldn't eat that either. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but my bill came to over $20 for just a burger and fries. It was very overpriced for something that was half not enjoyable and half average. I would not come back.

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.
