I decided to do an impulsive stop to get a quick manicure and pedicure while I was shopping. It started out well as I was seated right away in a pedicure chair and but than someone came beside me and started doing my nails at the same time. but the experience got a little unpleasant when that meant she was jerking my arm sideways while someone else was doing my pedicure then when she started applying the heat lamp, it was burning very badly so she went and got another one. When I got up to pay, I noticed that my nails had big bubbles and even showed it to the person checking me out and she quickly repaired the one now, but ignored the other ones. I paid and left but the next day the gel nails just started peeling off as if they were regular polish and my fingers were hurting. The manicure was a total waste, and it was clear that is was not good when I left the salon. If you're a regular there, you probably have a tech that you're used to that does good work but if you're a walk in then you're probably getting someone brand. New's not know what they're doing. I went in for a mani pedicure, and I must admit, it didn't start off on the best note and left me a little dissatisfied with the service initially. My gel polish on my hand and toes have changed colors according to them it my fault and requesting full payment to fix my nails. I have not dyed or wash my hair over the week, I use all natural products at my home NO CHEMICALS! I paid $121 for terrible customer service and a horrible polish job. I am not high maintenance. I never write reviews but because I am so pissed off, here is a review for you yelp viewers out there. So. I had Kim. I asked for a simple manicure. It's looks like I paid a 10 year old to paint my nails, probably should have. She barely filed my nails. She did some kinda fake pushing back of my cuticles...I was watching her wondering if she was gonna actually use it. She didn't do anything for my nailbed. I asked for white polish. She didn't clean up her mistakes at all. So then this was my final result. I will NEVER go back here. She massaged one hand for 30 seconds and the other for 10. Then she kept getting up the whole time to go and fix another lady's nails that she messed up before me. I complained at the desk about it and she said would I like for someone to repaint it. So I said okay. Then she went and got me Kim again who didn't do anything basically except put another top coat on... The only reason why it's not a 1 Star review was because the girl at the desk was genuinely concerned about how they looked and wanted to help me. When I said it didn't look good though all I got in response was "white is hard to make look good" Yeah well she didn't file, she didn't clean my nail bed, and then the white goop that was probably so old it could blow dust at me that was plopped on probably didn't help it look good either. I visited this nail salon on 12/2/2022 and requested a gel color re-do service which is listed for $20-$30. Instead, I was charged $40, and I asked why. Mindy said that I had acrylic on my nails, and he had to use powder to smooth it out and then put the gel on. I said I did not come in here with acrylic on my nails, only gel. I said he took off the gel and then used powder and said this is gel. I requested for him to show me the service provided on the attached listing, and he could not. The owner got creative and added +15 next to the acrylic fill ($25) and said he had to smooth it out and add acrylic so that he can put the gel on. You got me this time, but never again especially after I saw what you did too other customers. Be careful with this establishment. They tell you one price before you sit down and charge you another one at the end. They told two customers different prices also. Told one customer cost was $10 for a polish change but charged her $20. Told another one $50 to do an artwork but charged $60 at the end. They are deceptive and I do not recommend them. read more

Went in to get an SNS manicure before work. E gentleman doing my manicure was rather careless. He cut me with the drill multiple times and didn't bother to apologize, just looked at and it and kept going. The manicure was splotchy and he kept checking to see if it was dry, which left fingerprints on almost all of my nails. When I finally got to work I had a chance to really look at my nails and realized the filing was uneven, leaving my nails rough from the SNS powder. I got my nails done about a week ago and one nail fall off, like pooped off when I wasn't doing anything. I called and was told to come in the next day when the manager would be there and he would fix my nails. I came in, told that they couldn't see me or fix my nail. My nails where not done right where they are already needing a fill in, and one nail is again already off. It's bad enough that they where not cut even or right but now this? Will never go there again. This way my first and last time too. I was sitting outside the door both days before they open I order to been seen and was pushed to the back of the line both days and was disregard as a customer. I was on the hunt to find another salon that did SNS (Signature Nail Systems) and while trying to research online I found that my main researching website was down. So I resorted to Facebook and lo and behold, there was a place in the Avenues Mall that's only been open a year that does it. This location was much more convenient for me as I now get my nails done during the week and it's closer to my job. The Facebook reviews were pretty good so I figure why not go check them out. The shop is downstairs between JCPenney and Dillard's so it's very convenient coming and going from the mall. Walking in I saw that they had major downtime as there was only one lady getting her nails done. The lady doing her nails greeted me, asked what did I need done and asked me to sit at the station next to her booth. The owner, Tony Le, was on the phone and began the process of removing the nail product. I was used to having my nails soak in a bowl while the color comes off but here he soaked cotton balls, put them over my nails and wrapped my fingertips in aluminum foil. Awesome. Well it was awesome until the color didn't come off as quickly as we'd liked. By this time he was off the phone and concerned why it wasn't coming off. He found out that the salon that did my nails before didn't put a base down before putting the color on. I can see that making a difference. His selection of colors was not a massive as my last salon but he had enough to choose from. We chit-chatted as he did my nails. He's a very nice guy and got me in and out in about an hour. He did a nice job on my nails and they feel stronger than ever. Go check them out! read more

I've been looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed and stumbled upon SNS. I was skeptical because they are a nail salon, but I know people who go to nail salons to get their eyebrows done and love the results. Thanks to another Yelp reviewer, I was able to see a price list of their services. Eyebrow waxing was only $8, which is pretty cheap. When I walked in, I was greeted by two of the employees. There were a few people getting their nails done, but they had enough staff there that I was able to be accommodated right away. The gentleman that did the waxing was very nice and did a great job! The whole process, including paying, only took about 5 minutes. Even though this location is normally too far of a drive to make just to get my eyebrows waxed, it's definitely worth the trip. Hit and miss with this place... there are too many good nail salons in Jax to deal with subpar overpriced service. I've been getting my nails done here for almost 8 months and I finally just gave up after they ruined the shape of my eyebrows, waxed them way too thin... ( now I'll have to wait months and hope they grow in quickly). I also would get the SNS powdered polish and it wasn't done correctly by Tommy, he's cool but lazy. I paid $35 wanting a full fresh set he cut corners by wanting to file down the old set and add new powder... both processes cost $35.00 so it's not as if the botched job saves the customer any money it just saves them time, like really?! and I explained to him I didn't want it done this way because 1. It is too thick and 2. It doesn't last as long...that fell on deaf ears he did not listen. This is the 2nd time Tommy really messed up my nails!! The first time he messed up my nails they started cracking after 3 days!! I had to go back and get it fixed which Tony did a good job but with an attitude like it was my fault they ruined my $35 nail job and I was nice about the situation . This last time I didn't even bother to get them to fix my nails which cracked 4-5 days later. I just made a strict mental note to stop giving this place another try. The only reason why u did is because it's right in the mall nearby my house...but i will now avoid this place at all costs!! So because of SNS poor service i went on my cruise with pencil thin eyebrows and 1990's like thick nails..yuck! My eyebrows were done so horribly by Tony, it nearly ruined my trip... It's my first time ever going here and it was the worst pedicure i've ever gotten ever!!! i went in 6 days ago, today is monday i went last tuesday. THE POLISH IS ALREADY CHIPPING!!! i'm very careful on my feet, my polish normally lasts me 3-4 weeks no chips but this time is was bad!!! i paid for the regular pedicure, he barely washed my feet, water was cold and it was just a bad experience in general. I have been to this place a two other times. once being amazing, once being not to amazing and this last time horrible. I went to get my nails done since the next day was my birthday and wanted to treat myself. The lady doing my pedicure was very rude, i normally get regular polish on my toes because my toes normally last me 4-5 weeks anyways. She kept pushing gel polish on my nails even though i said no, she would not let it go and ended up giving me a dirty look and doing it anyways. She was very bad with the pedicure and didn't even look like she tried. some toes were half painted and others it looked like basically my whole toe was painted. Not even a week later they were chipping because she didn't put on a top coat. The lady who did my nails made them way too long, i showed her a specific length because i also have a job where i can't have long nails. I just left this place and it was terrible. I just moved here and this was the first place I found that had SNS so I gave it a shot. Very unprofessional. My nail tech seemed very rushed and just wanted to get me out so someone else could sit down. Shaped all my nails differently and even cut into my finger with the nail file. I've been going to this salon about 4 months now . They finally talked me into doing SNS . And after the experience I've had I will never be back . I paid 40 dollars to have the sns put on my real nail which I've been working on growing out . The women who did my nails did a horrible job . I asked for square and got coffin . All my nails are uneven and filled crooked . And after just 1 day one of my nails broke . I went back in the next day to have it fixed and the girl who fixed it did not shape nor pay attention to the length of my other nails . She also used gel instead of the SNS . Which at the point I was so upset and over it I tipped her and left . Then after only 3 days of having the sns on my nails it's started burning and eating away at my nails which one later broke half way down my nail . I went in and explained that my nails are burning and all messed up I was told to come back in a hour for them to all be replaced and fixed . I walked around the mall and came back a hour later to be told I can either have them all taken off for free or he can just fix the one nail . I then explained to him how they have been burning and how it ate away my one nail causing it to break half way down and he told me he has never seen that happen and it must be something I have done . He fixed the one nail and again did not shape it nor did he pay attention to the other length of my nails . I left heart broken and in tears because I now have paid 50 dollars on my nails for them to look like someone was doing them for the very first time . Don't waste your time going here. I took my sister to get her nails done during her pregnancy so she could pamper and enjoy herself and her nails were burning! The nail tech claimed it was a "chemical reaction" but it was obviously because they did not sanitize properly. The second time I went I went to get a fill in and the nail tech was clearly rushing. Instead of soaking my nails to get the acrylics off I had on already she was pulling them and not being gentle what so ever. One of my nails came off so hard that it was bleeding and she just kept continuing working on it. I had to tell her to clean it first cause she was about to put an acrylic on top of the one that was bleeding. You would think she had the common sense to wash it off for me considering she's the one who ripped it off due to rushing. I ended up getting no polish cause I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there and charged me 35$ while I was still in pain. The prices go up every single visit. I ended up talking to a manger and he was completely insensitive about the situation. He said "accidents happen" but it wouldn't have if she just took her time. She followed me to talk to the manager and spoke over me when I told the manager she was clearly rushing with my nails and said "no I'm not! No I'm not" like a child. This place is always busy, but I really didn't like how they did my nails. I've had SNS nails for a few years and after having a fill in here, my nails lifted for the first time ever. Then when you go back for the 3rd time in 2 weeks to fix the gel nail coating that is supposed to last for 3 weeks, but didn't even last a week, they tell you to wait an hour for a service you already paid for. So I checked what time this salon closed on Saturday and it said 9 pm on google. I get there at 7:30 and I told the guy working there that I wanted a gel full set, manicure, and pedicure. I was immediately seated and my services began. About five minutes after I sat down another customer came in and was turned away. The guy working told the lady that they cannot take her because it was getting late and that they closed at 8. Every few minutes, another person would come in and again they would be turned away. Long story short, my feet are rough and the paint is sloppy. My nails are not manicured, there is acrylic under my nails and the shape and length of my nails are not uniform. This service was NOT worth $70. If you are going to close early, I feel like every customer should be told that before they sit in your seats. I tip regardless but unfortunately I didn't feel this iservice deserved it. The lady who did my nails clearly did not put her best foot forward. My services were complete at 8:15. Some of your customers appreciate that your hours are later than most other salons, but that it is useless if the services are poor. The reason I would give this place 1 star is because I visited SNS Nails Spa Friday evening April 28th 2017 by Saturday evening April 29th my toe nail and finger polish had peeled off. Also, I consider a spa a place to relax. When our service began there was either no music or the music played softly in the background. During out time there they started playing loud vulgar music that seemed more appropriate for a club atmosphere than a nail spa. My head actually started hurting from the music being played. When my friends and I went into this establishment we were greeted promptly. Unfortunately everything after that was chaotic and unorganized. I picked out a pale pink/white SNS nail color. When the woman brought over the color and showed it to me it was a little more pink than I'd remembered picking but I figured since it was an SNS manicure it would be more sheer and show up the color that I originally picked out for myself. That was not the case, the woman picked out the wrong color. I would have never picked this color pink out for myself as I like to stick to simple, light or nude colors. This looked like pepto bismol pink. So I was unhappy with the color. On top of that, the woman nicked my finger with the sander. So when the acetone was applied it stung really bad. I was overall very unhappy and disappointed with my experience at this particular nail salon. My friends and I walked in to get SNS manicures and we were greeted and helped which was a great start. Unfortunately that was the only satisfactory part of this experience. I sat down to pick a color and they were out of the product. It was unfortunate and I do understand this happens in all industries. So I was given the color wheel back to pick another option. I felt rushed the entire time I was trying to pick a color so I just picked a blue. The man sat down and started working on my nails. He didn't say two words to me and didn't ask me how I would like my nails shaped. I prefer mine to be squared off. On my nails I have some rounded and some square. So they don't even match. On top of that when he was done he had left glue that had been dyed blue all over my fingers which I later had to peel off myself with great difficulty.
