I want to start with...as a licensed nail tech, I knew better than to go to a chop shop...but I was short on time. I went for a full set and pedicure. I wanted (and was charged) for a deluxe pedicure that took all of 6 minutes, and most of that was my feet soaking. The full set, awful. She didn't prep my nails properly, which resulted in my nails lifting within a week. On top of that, the nails were extremely thin for the length (the "bulkiness" is what gives the the najl it's strength) that I wanted and the shaping was even worse. I had to go home to cut them down and reshape them myself. I plan to soak them off myself and when I do, I will update this review (with pictures of the soak off) to confirm if they use illegal products. Please do not go to this salon. read more

This place is just okay. The menu prices are wrong - I got a pedicure and gel polish on hands and she said $50. I looked and it said $25 ped, $20 gel on hand or feet but only $15 with service. Total should have been $40 but they proceeded to tell me its $45. Picture of menu attached. For the actual service - toes are just okay. Hands they did a terrible job. Pictures attached. It's sloppy and will definitely chip in less than a week. It's not smooth and has spots where color is missing. I definitely don't recommend. read more

When I went in I didn't have to wait at all, I was immediately seated at a comfy massage chair right after picking my polish. The lady doing my pedicure was very gentle and made it an awesome relaxing experience. New to Jax, saw a sign advertising pedicure specials. Decided to be spontaneous and find a new salon since my regular spot of 12years is in Georgia. Standard $20, deluxe $25 and Supreme $35. I got the deluxe spa pedicure, $25! I'm in love!!! It may even be better than my old salon!! Full body massage chairs- literally from your head to your butt and thighs! Pedicure was amazing, I base my experiences on the leg/foot massages and I melted away w relaxation. My feet, calves and shins have never felt this great! I recommend Angel!! read more

Never going back and HORRIBLE NAILS AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. They were super busy (which is fine), so the lady told me to come back in an hour and she would hold my place. Came back in exactly an hour, and they ended up calling 2 other people first, so I waited an extra hour. Both nail techs that did my nails on pedi and mani were both inexperienced and not only took way too long, didn't do any type of massage, missed a step and performed a horrible job. It almost feels like they just asked their great grandpa to come in to help because they were busy... I wouldn't recommend this place to ever and I am Never. Going. Back. read more

My very first visit to Paris nail I seriously thought was going to be my last visit! I came in requesting a pedicure. They were extremely busy but within 10 minutes of waiting I had began getting serviced. The guy who did my pedicure took literally 5 minutes of rushing and nothing more before he instructed what appeared to be a middle school girl to paint my toes. She did a HORRIBLE job and I was so annoyed that I left with no intent of coming back. A week later my sister dragged me in to get a pedicure and that pedicure was better but nothing to brag about. My sisters pedicure was perfect. So I guess here its a luck of the draw thing. I can only see myself returning if my sister drags me back in again. Otherwise my search for a nail salon continues. The things I love about Paris Nails is that they have great specials, an adequate amount of pedicure chairs, abundant staff, and the same pink rug that I have in my office! The things that I dislike about paris nails is the limited and crowed waiting/seating area, the limited selection of nail polish colors, the inconsistent services i've received and the mess I always witness laying around when I walk in. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I'm trying to be better because I rely so heavily on them. Anyways, tried this place out. Gave it a 3 because while their work was alright (polish job on my toes was sub-par, got dip on my nails and it looks good, some nails are a little crooked but I can file them myself) I kinda felt like a burden being there. They weren't very welcoming. I didn't feel relaxed. Seemed to rush things. I witnessed one of them basically turn down 3 customers in the hour I was there. Definitely would not recommend this location. All I was hoping to get was a gel manicure. The service was rushed, the lady who did my nails was rude, and by the next day my nails are already chipping-(she put the least amount of coats on as possible). Day two in my search for a good nail salon in Jacksonville, ( coming from Miami). I'm still gun shy in pulling the trigger to trust someone with a gel manicure so I simply go for a regular. I'm use to English not being the first language but there was not even the most basic understanding of nail jargon to communicate. When she went to cut my nails she was hesitant and the manager came by to watch. I quietly panicked for my hands. It was clear she either wasn't familiar with manicures or I simply may lose a finger regardless. Several steps were skipped, no cuticle lotion, my hands were not filed after trim, just stuck in cold water. Never washed my hands, she gave me an oil massage and painted my nails. When it came time to pay, she said $20. Then pointed to an amount on the ticket which I don't know what it was, but it was a "2" and a "0" but I figured $20 because that's what I saw online. She gives me back $10 in singles and I'm now further confused. Left my tip for her time and never again shall I return. Horrible experience. Always attempt to let businesses redeem themselves. No Go!!!! Horrible customer service. I asked young lady if she customize designs on nails, she act as if I was bothering her, after repeated question second time she finally answered "yes." After waiting my turn for 10-15 min. A Caucasian lady and her daughter came into shop. The same young lady whom I had just spoke with and greeted Caucasian lady went to her and asked if they were ready! I couldn't believe it, I should've got up and left after total disrespect. It took the Caucasian lady pointing out that I was indeed next. I sit in this young lady chair, no hello, no smile straight disgust as if she didn't want to service me! Long story short pissed that nails are messed up, the owner states,"I will do for you next time." Unfortunately there will not be a next time. Something as simple as asking her to clean the powder off my nails was too much, she proceeds to wipe off with her hands and then place oil on top. I just looked at her like she was a straight up fool! Like, "REALLY !!!!" My $$$ clearly is not good enough for their services, warning to all if like your nails to look nice, if want nail bed to be cared for, if just want healthy nails, this is not the nail salon!!!! just moved to JAX from San Diego. REALLY wanted to like this place, and was hoping it would be my new go-to, since it right up the street from my house.. the owner/manager was SUPER sweet and welcoming. called to get an appt and she said she was available right now so i showed up no problem. usually get a full set and was so hyped about the advertised pics shown but little did i know THE ADVERTISED PICS DO NOT BELONG TO THIS TECHNICIAN. i soon found that out after i asked for the pink/white ombré and it looked nothing like the pics. i was so disappointed because i really wanted to like this place with such nice techs. the finished product was terrible. the shape was off, the powders were definitely not blended well, it was a mess. the acrylic didn't even cover my entire nail bed. after smoothing she didn't file the tips and after a few days the acrylic looked so dry and started cracking on the edges. i was so embarrassed to show my hubby.. i also got a pedicure and let the woman know i had really bad ingrown toe nails, she said she would take care of it.. definitely didn't. she attempted and i let her know it was still there.. after letting her know a second time i just gave up. also, i noticed afterwards the tools she used on me she just put right back on the tray. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THAT. luckily i didn't get an infection on my toes but if you decide to check this place out... make sure you have clean tools! all in all, super nice employees but they need to work on their craft and take down the pictures of advertised nail work that doesn't belong to them. sadly, i will not be coming back here. i'm a little mad i didn't take pictures of my nails so i could show what they looked like but i went to another place to get them fixed a couple days later. they were really bad . read more

Went here for a mani pedi and ended up having to go to another salon to fix my nails bc the tech put gel top coat instead of regular on my nails & it discolored my polish w grey streaks. When I asked about nail art, the tech said , "I'm going to be honest w you, I'm horrible at it!" WHAT THE HECK!? To me, I've always had a good time with them. They are extremely nice and friendly. They have plenty of seats for pedicures and plenty of staff but there's only one thing I don't like and that's there isn't enough space for waiting but that's okay. Overall, I have good experience with everyone and the owners are extremely nice and kind. I get the Gel (Shellac) manicure, and also got a pedi. Both Mani and Pedi were French style. Jenny did an amazing job, my nails have never looked better, not has the Gel polish lasted this long. Turn around and run! I've gone here a few times and each visit is hit or miss. First visit ( pedicure) was ok enough for me to come back. Next visit I got a pedi and eyebrow waxing. They burned my skin. Fortunately the burns scabbed quickly and didn't leave scars. Went back (pedi only) ok job...realized only one guy can do nail art. Went there today and spent two hours getting a pedi because the girl drawing on my nails was horrible. The go to guy came over to "fix" it and it looked horrible. Came home and redid it myself.
