I walked over here while getting my car serviced at Toyota across the street (besides walking across Atlantic - which was terrifying), I had a lovely experience. I had Angelica and she did both my gel pedicure and manicure. The strip mall is a bit interesting but inside the salon, it's what you expect - nothing less, nothing more. What I appreciated was the very clear "menu" of what the different tiers of pedicure were with straightforward pricing. Angelica was so warm and engaging and totally put me at ease. Most importantly, my nails look great! I've been getting my nails done on and off for almost 3 years, I was referred by one of her clients and she's been the best so far. I was doing my own eyebrows because I hadn't found, or trusted anyone in Jacksonville to do them. Bad experiences caused me to ruin my own eyebrows and unfortunately they became thin and didn't fit my full face. I let my eyebrows grow out for two months in order to try to get that fullness back again that I had in high school. One word...AMAZING! I've been searching Jacksonville for months for a place that can do nail art. I'm not talking basic flowers, I'm talking striping, 3D art, ombré nails, etc. Many places said they could do that type of nail art but didn't have the tools or skill to do anything out of the ordinary. I went Wendys for a correction to four of my nails from an attempt by another salon to do nail art. What I got was less than satisfactory. So, I went in specifically to see Jason who had posted many of the photos on Yelp. He was booked solid but he showed his colleague Amber and she took me right away. She soaked off my nails, repolished them and careful created the nail art. I am thrilled with the outcome! Guys do not be deceived by the good work. I just moved to the area and I was looking for a home nail salon. This was the 1st time I visited and tried to give the benefit of the doubt that the staff was having a bad day but the staff is so so rude. Mega attitude. A lady receiving services walked out before I did. I was supposed to get a full set but I couldn't deal with the attitude so I decided to leave. The pictures look great and whoever did them did a good job but customer service is seriously lacking. They charge $57 for a pedicure and it's an awful experience. I hadn't found a great nail place that could really fulfill all the cool things I saw on Pinterest until I saw a friend of mine post pictures of her nails from Wendy's. I jammed a nail and needed to get them done ASAP and my regular girl was unavailable, so I decided to come here. Upon the referral I was given $5 off for my services, and my friend receives $5 off her future services. Which was pretty cool, since I didn't expect it. I made an appointment (absolutely necessary because they tend to fill up quickly), and was seated with Jason. I gave him an idea of what I wanted from a Pinterest photo, and he was able to create the look and then some. He gave it his own spin. The decor is beautiful with privacy curtains for the pedicure chairs, Amazon TV to watch movies, and a complimentary drink of choice while you do your nails (wine - moscato or sangria, soda, or water). I obviously chose the free glass of wine at 11 am (fermented fruit juice, don't judge me!). Jason was friendly and explained what he was doing when it came to my nails, like why he made them thinner in the coffin shape, and how he was putting the gems on. I have to say, I am excited to come back to get some really cool stuff done for the holidays and in general. I love my nails, and I loved the service. Would definitely come back. I met Wendy and Hung about a year ago while involved in service work in our local community. They have all my respect and put a considerable amount of thought into who they hire and you can feel the since of community when your there. I was spoiled to say the least and my nails last forever! Micro blading my eyebrows brought back symmetry and youth to my face but more important my confidence! They offer discounts for referrals and their work is insured which is incentive enough for anyone to try the place. So I was REALLY excited to try out this salon. Their portfolios are amazing and it seems like they genuinely love what they do and they take pride in their work (so hard to find that in a nail tech). I felt everyone there had great attitudes. After my appointment, my nail shape was good (not great), the free-hand design was seemingly half-a*sed (little upset over that) but overall the nails looked good and I was happy. The salon could also be a little cleaner, too, but they are in transition of expanding which is stressful in itself. Anywhoo, my nail tech had asked me if I was involved in labor-intensive work or if I used my hands a lot so the tech could adjust how my nails would handle "everyday life." I told my nail tech that I do light work, but the nail tech gave me medium strength to be on the precautionary side ..... I don't know if I came in on a bad day or if my nail tech was over doing nails by the time my appointment came about, but the quality is so disappointing. A lot of my nails are lifting, some are dented, I've had two fall off now before the one week mark. I understand these things happen and maybe the product that was used just doesn't do well with my nails? The tech told me they have a two week policy where if am issues occur you can come back free of charge and get your nails fixed. The only problem is I live an hour away and don't have time to just come in for a quick fix. I honestly am unsure if I will be back, but if you go and get your nails done here be sure of what you want and double check all of your nails before you leave - in good lighting too. read more

Normally my pedicures don't last more than 30 minutes. So I was on my way to an event but was in desperate need of a pedicure. I had 45 minutes to spare and this was the closest salon to the place. I walked in and was seated immediately because it was empty in there. A very nice lady came to do my pedicure. We chatted as she soaked my feet and prepared for the pedi. During this chat I mentioned that I am in a rush so she can skip the massage and callus removal part. The lady took her time bringing her tools and getting set up, which made me a little nervous of the time. She was pleased to see that I had removed my previous polish and clipped my nails short. She even made the comment that i had saved her the trouble of doing so. Right after my feet were done soaking, she put the separator in to apply the gel polish. I asked her why she didn't do my cuticles, she said I didn't have any. (I am paying for a pedicure, I would like my cuticles cleaned) so I asked her nicely to please do them because I want my polish to look smooth on the edges. She started yanking on my cuticle skin which kind of hurt. But I let it go because I really wanted a pedicure and I was in too much rush to critique. After a few yanks she stopped. Didn't even clean my cuticles. Throughout our conversation she mentioned that she had eye surgery and that she can't see close up. She even made a joke that she couldn't see my toes. At this point I was definitely nervous. I am a perfectionist and this was going to be absolutely terrible. I still let it go and waited patiently for my pedi to be done. After she put the toe separators on, she took me to a manicure station to use the gel machine... (what in the world?!) other salons Bring the Light to you, because it's a small portable machine. I didn't comment on it instead I just followed. At this point 40 mins had already passed. I told her I was going to be late. She said she will hurry. I wish I knew that hurry meant sloppy. I couldn't even see what she was doing to my toes because there was a desk blocking my view. So she painted my toes and slipped them inside the light curing machine. Before I knew it, an hour had passed and I was already late. At this point I couldn't do anything. She was sweet so she did apologize for Making me late. I smiled and told her it's alright, I should have planned it better. Once she was done, I looked down at my toes and I was horrified to find how sloppy it was! It looked like a kid had painted my toes. I was so upset! But I didn't say anything and didn't have time to fix it. They charged me $35 for this (including the service of clipping cuticles which she didn't do) but whatever. So I paid and left! I will NEVER go to this salon again. The lady is sweet but if she can't see properly then she shouldn't be doing people's manicures and pedicures. The worst pedicure ever! read more

I been to this establishment twice and whole heartily this is my nails shop. Such friendly service I already know each and every nail tech. They multi task like no other. The clientele don't seem to have a wait at all when they come in. Scheduling appropriately is one of my pet peeves and they do it great. First time going to this nail salon. The place has a dirty table. I see each table had a barbicide. My nail tech just remove the nail tools out of barbicide and wipe it with towel paper. If I didn't went to an Esthetician; I wouldn't know about how to cleanest. The nail tools should been rise with water and wipe. Her other nail tools was sitting inside the barbicide, and I am like in my mind aren't your going to rust the tools. As nail tech did my nail she just rush it. She used brown sander to removed my cuticle but she hurt my skin. I told this is my time. I know you're support to used triangle tip to remove cuticle. I have seen on Russia Manicure YouTube channel. IDK why American say it okay used brown sander to remove it. She made my nails thick at the top. She had huge nail brush and used one mold on my nail. She didn't paint the side my nail. They shouldn't be any space up top of my nail mold. Also what kind of place bring a few month old baby in nail salon. The toxic smell hit on my face. The baby was crawling while other worker did a pedicure. Oh yeah my nail tech smoke in front of me. I didn't she my nail tech wash her nail tools she used on me. I was in a bit of a hurry, so that was longer than i meant to be there, but my feet look amazing. That two hours did not include any wait time. Was recommended this place by a friend and I couldn't be more pleased with how my nails turned out. Amy was amazing and super accommodating. I normally just go with your standard SNS solid color manicure but this place really specializes in nail art so I decided to just go for it. I ended up with the cutest Minnie Mouse inspired nails for my upcoming trip to Disney complete with red bow charms. Super happy with the final look and definitely looking forward to coming back for more. The staff here is really nice and Amy was such a funny goofball with some real talent. Went into the salon and asked for a gel manicure, they put acrylic on my nails and painted that with gel polish. I should have said something but after getting off work that day I was exhausted and just wanted my nails to look nice after over a year of not having them done. I've been into this salon a few times before but no one seemed to really recognize me. I asked for them to be short and the length was never really revised, and I needed them short for work, which is also why I wanted gel. My appointment was for 245 and I didn't leave their chair until 5. At this one shop I had 3 different girls work on my nails.The design came out terrible, and after leaving the shop I immediately called another salon to have them redone, and in less than 30 mins. I paid in full and tipped, ended up spending nearly 90 dollars on my nails that day (in total), and I'm still not happy with them. I won't put that on the second shop though, she still did great work in a significantly less amount of time! Will probably have them redone again in a few days, but it won't be at this shop! read more
