The vibes were everything and you could come with a few people or even solo and enjoy a book, some pho, decor that honors anything and everything chill, and one of their deliciously addictive egg coffees. Yes, you read that correctly, EGG coffee. Iced Egg Coffee, to be more specific. It's sweet, satisfying, refreshing, and you'll want it again and again. The amount of times I've tried to mimic this at home is downright embarrassing...which means that another trip is in order! I have my eye on the Toffee Milk, Saigonese Shake, and Artichoke Refresher. The menu honors traditional Vietnamese fare and fusion, so everyone can find something to enjoy :D Would I come back? Definitely, and I'm bringing everyone. Well, 3 others, because that's all I can fit in my car; but I'm telling everyone :D Enjoy!

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!

I once had a durian smoothie here that was nice (they said they use fresh durian). Unfortunately service sucks. You use context clues to get in a line at the end of the store, order with an employee after they're done and look at you, have your order number flashed at you (which you're obligated to memorize as you do not get a receipt or physical number), and then you hover around the front of the store until you're called via your number. My biggest gripe is that they hire non-Viet speaking workers to take your order and expect you to understand them when they butcher the name of the foods. I ordered some cha ca (fish patty since I saw it in the glass container by the front on the counter and pointed it at) and the lady kept saying chacachinchacasong quickly 2-3x. I asked her what do you mean? She repeated it. I said I don't understand what you're saying. She looks to her non-viet speaking coworker, shakes her head, and says "chino" with an attitude. Eventually I come to realize after some pondering that she said "cha cá sóng (raw fish patty)" "cha cá chín (cooked fish patty)". I'd recommend management to remind the ladies to say things slowly if the customer does not understand or say "raw" or "cooked" if they cannot adequately pronounce Vietnamese to their large Vietnamese customer population. I'd also recommend not to insult the target customer in front of them.

Their che is pretty decent too and I love their cassova with salted peanuts is SO good. You will absolutely find something if you stop by for a visit. Plus you get a free soy milk if you order over $35 (pretty sure but it's on their store as to what the amount is) of items. It might seem hectic upon arrival but it's really not. You wait your turn to get served and when you're done ordering they'll flash a number at you that you need to remember. Then you wait until your number is flashed by the cashier so you can pay and pick up. For those who don't want to deal with the hectic parking in Eden Center, stop by on a weekday in the later afternoon.

It's inside Tysons Corner Center on the second floor, so parking is just the usual mall parking. Easiest if you park 2nd floor food court parking then go up to 3rd floor garage and walk over the sky bridge. They always have fresh baked goods so it always smells so yummy when you walk in. There's seating if you want to hang out for a bit instead of just grabbing something and leaving. The staff is super helpful and welcoming, whether you're popping in for a quick snack or ordering a cake. I've ordered cakes from them for birthdays, graduations, and other celebrations, and they've always turned out great. I really like that their cakes are not too sweet (better for the Asian palette). Prices are fair too, which makes it even better. Their brown sugar boba latte is also sleeper good. Definitely recommend them whether you're at the mall or needing a cake.

Loved our waiter, he was very entertaining and gave us a great experience. We did the Modan Tasting Experience (Six Course Meal*). I ordered a couple of cocktails off the menu - Lychee Martini was very boozy and didn't have much flavor. The Flor de Cana Pineapple Mojito is interestingly on happy hour, but not on the main cocktail menu. It was okay and not that flavorful. Honestly, I wouldn't mind shelling out $20+ cocktail if it packed a punch with flavor and well-balanced. These cocktails didn't measure up. The Cauliflower Taco was truly bite-size and was the teeny tiniest taco I've ever seen. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, so I was glad that it was gone within 2 bites. After spending $60+ on 2 drinks and tiny taco, I was ready to go home disappointed. Our server was friendly. Maybe I didn't order the right drinks? I might come back to try another round of drinks, but not sure if I'm willing to dish out another $20+ cocktail.
