Juicy and tender, we tried 5 types, the beef birria, goat birria, chicken tinga, chicken+chorizo, and beef tinga. All equally great. Then Sopas chicken tinga, beer birria So fabulous too. Loved every single bite. Small place, very casual with several inside tables, more outside. Sat down for some,carryout for more. Carryout was well packaged- self serve some of the 3 sauces to go to try. Green is avocado/tomatillo mix, red is hotter/sharper, orange (kickin/creamy) good. Decent sized menu but not trying to do everything- smart move. Because everything they do they do extremely well. The parsley/onion salad on flatbread was an interesting concept but tasted a bit like cilantro on stale bread to me. The roasted potatoes were also well seasoned but because they were pre-cooked and reheated, they had the consistency of leftovers from last night that were reheated in the microwave. Finally, the piece of flatbread on the bottom seemed to be I heated and right off the shelf at the grocery store. That or perhaps it was just stale? Either way I wasn't impressed. This truck was less than impressive despite the friendly service. There are too many other quality trucks in the DC area for me to recommend this one or give it another try.

The Pupusa Mana is a quiet place, but can become crowed with 9 tables for 4 people and one table for 2. The bar I believe holds 8 more people. If you are into karaoke, It looks like this place can accommodate you and your party or parties. Speaking in the native language is preferred, but if you don't speak a word of Spanish, someone can speak in English to you. I like the cheese pupusas and my wife likes the Queso con loroco. Loroco is also known as Fernaldia pandurata. This food is popular in El Salvador and Guatemala; as well, as other places. I have had the loroco pupusas and it is good...no, great.
