My family and I decided to be a little adventurous and try out Vietnamese cuisine for the first time, and were pleasantly satisfied! Our waiter was very nice, helpful, and even brought us tiny samples of menu items that we felt iffy about. We didn't wait long for our food, which was served in fun dish ware that i've only ever seen at a korean restaurant up in Austin. After having appetizers and generously-sized entrees (we skipped desert as we felt that it was a tad bit overpriced), we felt full and satisfied without that feeling of regret and grogginess that usually comes after dining out. Everything tasted delicious and healthy. It's someplace i'd definitely eat at again. The Valley (not only Edinburg!) needs more variety like this spread out amongst its many cities. read more

This place was very difficult to find, since it is hidden in a plaza with poor visibility. Maybe I went on an off day, but they were lacking a lot of the menu items. Eventually we settled on bbq short ribs and popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was quite bland, even with a dipping sauce, the ribs were alright. Service was good though, attentive and friendly. I'm not sure what to make of it, but they were using fancy disposable plates, either this is a sit down restaurant or a tapioca type of place. Definitely different from any Vietnamese food I have eaten elsewhere---mostly on Bellaire in Houston. However, I did enjoy an appetizer of grilled pork, vegetables, & crispy won ton pieces inside a rice paper wrap. The grilled pork Banh Mi was served on a large--what tasted like sour dough--bagette with a lightly spiced mayo. When I asked the owner about it, she told me that this was authentic to the region from which she came. Although I am used to a garlic aioli, more cilantro, and jalapeno peppers, I enjoyed the difference. I wish that I would be returning to the Valley, as I would love to try their noodle dishes. Me and my wife went late afternoon on a Friday. Walked in, right away I noticed how clean of a restaurant it was, only one other table was seated, which kind of scared me a little. We were quickly seated and brought menus by our waiter, drink order was taken, very quick, very attentive. We look over the menus and I was surprised and the variety of items they offered, everything looked so good I couldn't decide. I finally decided on the Chicken Pho, my wife was undecided so when our waiter came over she asked for some help, he gladly obliged, she ended up deciding on a noodle chicken lettuce wrap dish (not exactly sure what it was called lol), and we also ordered the Chicken shrimp spring roll appetizer. Service was quick and our appetizer came fast, and trust me it was very impressively good, I'm not a huge fan of spring rolls so I was surprised that I actually really enjoyed these, the sauce it came with complimented it very well. After a short time our dishes arrive and we dug in, one word, AMAZING. My chicken pho was spectacular, broth was so good, the chicken was surprisingly not dry as a bone, which I have encountered before with others, but not this one. Noodles were great nice and thick noodles, and the garnishes (bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapenos) were very fresh. I was actually surprised they offered basil as a garnish, I've been to a few restaurants in the area that serve pho and this is only the second one that's offered basil with their pho, which I've heard some people say pho isn't pho without basil. Agreed. My wife, a pretty picky eater, loved the Chicken noodle lettuce wraps, she couldn't stop saying how good they were, I wish I could have tried them, but I was so caught up in the amazing pho, I didn't get a chance to. During our visit our waiter was very attentive checking on us asking, us if we needed anything, and refilling our drinks (big points for that), after we were done he quickly took away our VERY empty dishes. I was very appreciative of the service. Paid and left. On our way out my wife noticed, among their many pictures on the walls of people enjoying and raving about their food, they had Asian fish tacos, I must have them next time. I think it's and understatement to say we'll be back again, I'll probably make an excuse to 'be in the area' and more than likely visit much sooner than I expected to. read more

I visited here once due to all the good reviews it had. Food on the menu looked good, so I was excited to order. I ordered the rice with glazed fish and it was awful. Fish did not taste fresh and tasted like anyone of those frozen fishes. Also, I would recommend using REAL plates instead of plastic plates. it would have made my meal look a little more appetizing and easier to eat. it was hard to eat with everything all squished to one little especially plastic plate. However, the desserts were fantastic. I ordered the brick-a-luscious due to a recommendation from a staff. if anything, they should just stick to selling desserts! read more

Went to this restaurant not to long ago due to all good reviews that it has received, but was extremely disappointed. The food was not what I expected; spices were not unique and overall left very unsatisfied. Had a late lunch yesterday and everyone got the noodle bowls which was good. Pork spring roll was awesome as well as the chicken and shrimp rolls. My son had the passion fruit tea and said it was good. The only knock I had was that the sweet tea was quite sweet for my taste which I solved by adding some water to my drink. I will be back soon!!
