April 14, 2026 Food as usual is amazing, we ordered 2 beef, a mini rice plate, and some egg rolls. We absolutely devoured everything that was in front of us because the food is truly that good the side plates compliment the pho perfectly and even the fresh veggies for garnish are a perfect addition. It is family owned and at one point I know it was also family operated. Tonight in particular was not their night. The service was terrible. Not only was the cashier a little slow with change, taking orders, didn't properly explain what drinks they were out of, gave the wrong take out order NO ONE was attentive. The only times we were able to ask for something else like chili oil was when they were still bringing out our food. After the last plate that we were missing no one came to ask us if we needed a refill, napkins, sauces or anything. The place itself is also really nice with beautiful paintings, nice tables, good ambiance and good vibes but the service is the ONLY reason why it's not getting the full 5 stars. read more

This place was absolutely amazing! Hands down best Pho Restaurant in the valley! I live in Mcallen and will drive to Weslaco just for their Pho. The ambience is quite nice, they have darling little touches like roses on the table and cozy cafe style tables. You do order and pay when you walk in which was a little surprising to me, but it is what it is. I ordered the Best pho with their 12+ hr bone broth, tendon, brisket and rare filet and it was absolutely amazing! The flavor of the broth was so rich a authentic. Very full of flavor. And the noodles were flavored so perfectly by the broth. The spring rolls were so fresh and their peanut sauce was so delicious and creamy! Best peanut sauce i've ever had! Pho gets 5/5 Spring rolls 5/5 Peanut sauce 5/5 Vietnamese Coffee 3.5/5 (I like mine a little sweeter and creamier, personal preference) The service was quite attentive. Very first time here and it was a very pleasant experience...you order and pay as soon as you walk in the doors. You can sit where you like. As a pho is the valley, it was probably a 7 out of 10 in my books but you would never last in the Greater Houston area. I have to say the wait staff are definitely doing their job for sure! The egg rolls were the highlight of our visit but everything else was just blah. We didn't even get the plate all pho establishments give you with the thai basil, bean sprouts, lime wedges, jalapeno or thai chili peppers, cilantro, green onions, sawtooth herb, etc. Nothing guys - Not sure if you just forgot or if its charged as a separate item on the menu. The taste was pretty solid but there were not nearly enough noodles at all. My honest opinion after all of that is your prices are way too high especially for the area. The pho came out piping hot! The broth was tasty and the beef pieces were nice and tender. I don't think I've had pepper on top of pho with onion pieces before so I wasn't used to that but it was still good. The spring rolls were large and tasted fresh. What I do hope the restaurant can work on is providing better, reusable silverware and higher quality chopsticks (the ones I had were too light). I couldn't take in that much broth from the tiny soup spoons (especially when I wanted to layer it with noodles) and it kept cutting into my fingers so it made the experience less enjoyable. For the ambience it was super clean and trendy. It's more of a casual vibe since you order up front and pay at the door. The menu is small so it's not that hard to make a choice. The standard beef pho was hugh and very good. It had lots of beef but not very flavorful. The add ones jalapeno basil, and chili enhance the flavor. The service was fast. I don't get why people think the food is good, when it is average at best! I got the chicken pho and the pieces were long spears that were hard to get in your mouth. I mean, can't you cut your spears down from 3 and 4 inches down to 1 or 2 inches???The broth didn't have a good taste at all, it was very, very, very bland, seriously bland. It had no veggies to flavor it, NONE, unless you count a few bean sprouts, a basil leaf, and a cilantro twig. And worst of all, their plastic spoons and forks made it a nightmare to eat the noodles! Can't they offer us some real silverware? I spent $18.00 on the smallest bowl. Believe me, it is way, way, overpriced for the bland chicken spears and noodles I got. And overall, this restaurant has a fast food feel to it with their use of plastic spoons and forks. No way, never again! I know there is an appeal to trying out different types of food from fascinating places around the world, and that some people find it trendy and chic, but it should also be good tasting food, not bland, flavorless water, chicken and noodles. While I understand your desire to "school" a retired professional of what pho is, you do not know the extent of my experiences and the different cuisines that I have sampled both here and abroad. But no doubt, you believe yourself an expert needing to instruct an ignorant person such as myself. Your pho was flavorless, but this should not be confused with seasoning as you stated: "..pho has natural flavors that are clean". Yes, this pho was so clean it almost had no flavor. The flavor of a broth should primarily come from vegetables, not seasoning. Yours had NO vegetables unlike one of the pics online. And when I asked for silverware, I was told that customers use the awkward plasticware that was on the table, period. No offer for real silverware that I asked for. The music was a little loud and detracted from the Vietnamese ambiance, because it was contemporary American music. So, no ambiance, more of a fast food restaurant ambiance. And lastly I stated $18. because, I, and others, pay for rolled in taxes and the required tip, regardless of good or bad service, when we enter the restaurant's front door and order the pho. I then rounded off the amount to $18. I hope you understand the mathematics, as you were insinuating that I was being deliberately misleading in the price I paid. Adults pay everything, like my mistake of going to your restaurant for bad food and bad service. Lastly, it is apparent, from your defensive response, that you do not see reviews as an avenue to learn and improve your product, sales and service, but instead as a high schoolish form of retort. Terrific pho. Pricey tho. I had the Bun one with beef & noodles. Prompt service. You pay up front first then seat yourself. I found an inconspicuous seat cause you slurp it down. If you are going to serve small shrimp (which is more tender than larger shrimp... imho they should not be served "tail on" (so says the guy from Florida)... I order from here once a week. I always enjoyed my food. However, today was a little differently. I ordered from Favor like I usually do...today I received my orders with something extra on top. Spit. Someone spit on my food. It is clearly spit on top of the basil on one of my orders. I am not sure if I was someone at the restaurant or my driver. However, my order did not look tampered with. The bag looked like it was sealed once, and the typical instructions with the chopsticks were placed on top like usual. I didn't want to do this on a public forum, but I did try to contact Le Pho on IG with no response. I have also contacted Favor and sent pictures. I am just letting the public know in case this was an in house thing, and well you know covid is still happening. Check you orders carefully before consuming. Edit: I spoke to Pam on the phone. She said it was water from the basil being washed by her mother. I refused this. After she requested the pictures I sent to Favor all she responded with was "Oh no. That looks disturbing." Clearly, like I stated on the phone, it was not water. She also suggested it was the heat from the food that made the water appear as spit. Nope. She request I let her know what Favor said. I understand getting defensive on the situation, but asking "what do I want" was kinda an insult. Since I was not reaching out for free meals or anything of sort. I highly hope you check your cameras you keep speaking of to see how my food was prepared and by whom. That way we can narrow down the individual at fault. Not once did I suggest it was anyone in house. Like I told her numerous times I was reaching our bc Favor suggested I do so. Like I also stated numerous times I've ordered a minimum of once a week for Le Pho House, and depending on the week 2 or 3 times. Each time it has been with Favor. Never had an issue with either party. Who is at fault, I am not sure...but kindly stating you will check cameras to clear your staffs names would highly be a grand idea.
