The vegan pozole is good. The Egg Mamas is also a perfect breakfast option, hearty on protein. If you're looking for vegan options this menu is flexible. I typically go for the strawberry cloud drink without whipped cream due to a dairy allergy but the team is always generous enough to work with me. The sweet potato fries are a great side to anything. My favorite drink is the Golden Milk of course!

The egg rolls were the highlight of our visit but everything else was just blah. We didn't even get the plate all pho establishments give you with the thai basil, bean sprouts, lime wedges, jalapeno or thai chili peppers, cilantro, green onions, sawtooth herb, etc. Nothing guys - Not sure if you just forgot or if its charged as a separate item on the menu. The taste was pretty solid but there were not nearly enough noodles at all. My honest opinion after all of that is your prices are way too high especially for the area. Will not make a 2nd trip!

I have lots of people who ask me my suggestions but today I have to address the service. I Have stopped here several times in the past but today took the cake! Service was awful! Our server Amanda needs a desperate refresher in customer service, very short , no greeting no suggestions just what did we want....... Talked extremely fast and I couldn't even understand her. After getting our salads we ordered she Never came back to ask if we wanted a refill, never checked if that's all we needed, waited and waited for our check, had to get up and pay, then asked where to pay and told that the server was our register after asking 3 waiters and also being blown off.... I'm just so disappointed in the overall service. Would not suggest if you're definitely short on time. As for a monetary tip, none was left, but I suggest Shes looks both ways when crossing the road.

Visited Monterrey Cafe for lunch. Restaurant has a nice traditional look and feel. Ordered the…read moreTampiquena plate. I requested beef fajitas, two cheddar cheese enchiladas, a crispy corn taco with ground beef filling. The plate included rice and beans, guacamole and a choice of tortillas. I asked for flour. When my plate arrived the food looked hot, tasty and freshly made. After giving everything on my plate a try, here is my subjective assessment of the meal. Again, this was my only visit so I didn't try anything else. Service: 5 out 5, servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. You can tell they take pride in their jobs. They all wore matching black T-shirts. They refilled my drink and stopped by to ask if I needed anything else. Atmosphere: 5 out 5, not fancy but who cares. It was clean, comfortable and inviting. It feels like it's been there since 1972. Food: 3 out 5, although the items on my plate looked fresh and tasty, I felt only two items really stood out. The crispy taco was the best item on my plate. It was crunchy and delicious. The flour tortillas were freshly made and delicious. However, the beef fajitas were bland and chewy. The cheese enchiladas seriously lacked flavor. The cheese filling and enchilada sauce could and should have been better. The rice and refied beans were flavorless. Overall, the flavors were muted and I would say needed more seasoning. I wanted to give it a higher rating. I may try going again in the future but I'll order something different. They serve breakfast too.

The kombucha flavors rotate but it is always AMAZING. For food, I got to try all their pizzas. They're all so fresh and flavorful. I've never had cashew cheese before and think it's so good! Their daily combo special is a great way and deal to try out the pizzas. It comes with 2 slices of pizzas (any flavors), soup of the day, and cup of kombucha. Service is friendly and attentive. Folks who come in seem happy to be there and enjoy speaking to the owner and his family. The place is a bit tricky to find from the Main Street. It's one of those if 'you blink, you miss it'. There is a yoga sign out front, which helps to figure out where you're at. Parking is mainly street parking. I haven't had issues finding one. Inside, the place is small but has a nice cozy casual ambiance/vibe. Overall love this place and can't wait to go back again to try other things on their menu! Note: I'm not vegan or vegetarian

I was so glad to have found this place in a town that I didn't think would have any vegan places…read more While looking up for vegan places, Boocha Bar had popped up. So when we were visiting Estero Llano Grande State Park, I decided to give them a try. I called them up and placed the order for a pizza. They were almost at the closing time, but squeezed me in. The owner, Neo was super friendly, he shared the story behind Boocha. He makes pretty much everything from scratch, with local produce. He gave us a large bowl of soup which was super nice instead of the standard small that comes with the pizza as they were closing. The soup depends on what veggies he has in store. It was one of the best soups I have had. The street taco pizza was delicious. The crust wasn't too thick and chewy, the toppings and sauce tasted great. We also got mushroom hoagie (similar to bun sandwich) which was great too. He also offered Kombucha sample, generally I don't like kombucha. But this one was different. It was so good that we ended up getting a glass. They support other local businesses, he also shared some vegan places around Harlingen where I was staying which was super nice of him. They use mostly eco-friendly compostable, recyclable containers. The cafe is small, they have a few tables but it's really nicely decorated. They also have the yoga studio in the back which his wife runs. They were closed on the weekend but we made sure to pick up another pizza (Beetza) on Monday just before we left the area. Finding vegan places in smaller towns can be difficult so I was super happy to have found not only a good place but one of the best vegan places I have ever been to - from their food, drinks, service, to ambiance, everything was 5stars. Highly recommend it even if you are not vegan. Go for the delicious fresh food, and kombucha.
