    Veggie pho
    Alyssa P.

I got the veggie pho and the egg rolls. The food was so incredibly delicious and the restaurant was so cute with a great ambiance. The reason I'm knocking down so many stars is because the employee helping me today was literally the most rude and unfriendly person I've ever come across. I was polite and respectful, not a Karen at all. I truly don't know why she would act the way she did. It's really unfortunate because it heavily altered my experience. To give a brief example of her attitude I asked for a to go box and wasn't even acknowledged. She just walked away and brought it to me. Crazy to experience such terrible hospitality when the food was so enjoyable.

This has been a great addition to the valley! Out of all the boba places in the valley I find this one to be the most authentic! They have a wide variety of flavors with a chew but firm boba. The food is above average. I wish they included more chicken in the popcorn chicken opposed to 30% chicken and 70% fries. The service was on the slower side, but they were pleasent and professional. It was neat inside with good decorations that created a light ambiance inside.

favorite place to get viet pork noodles in the valley. their fish sauce has a slight spice to it that is uncommon, but I love it. their space is very open and bright, and the workers are so kind to my family. their vietnamese coffee is sooo milky and good here! highly recommend.

First time here. The service was good. The place was clean. They actually had a decent menu of Vietnamese food. Coming from Houston we have a lot of restaurants to choose from. The prices are a bit on the high side but that is a given for lack of competition and the area not being populated with much Viet people. I was in town visiting family and my sister recommended for us to try this place out since my kiddos wanted Pho. Drinks: 3/5 my boba was a little harder texture for chewing and it was more milk than tea. My kids like their mango smoothies but it was made with powder and not fresh mangoes. The iced matcha green tea latte was ok from my other daughter told me ( more milk than matcha). Egg rolls: 4/5 they were fried perfectly with that crunchy wrapper without a heavy oily taste. The filling was pork, wood ear mushrooms and clear vermicelli. These ingredients are the base of Vietnamese egg rolls. Bbq pork Vermicelli with egg rolls: 4/5 The vermicelli could have been cook/ warmed up a little bit more. They were a little firm/ harder than they should be. The seasoning on the pork was tasty. The vegetables were fresh. The fish sauce was a little bit on the salty side for me. Popcorn chicken: 3/5 They were fried well and had good flavor but I did not like the fact that it was 7 pieces of chicken at best with so many fries. In Houston when you order Taiwanese popcorn chicken it is just the chicken. Pho: 4/5 The broth was decent lacked a little more beef flavor my kids appreciated the brisket did not have fat on it. Overall, the food was decent and the service was good. We will be back when we are back in McAllen.

If you're in McAllen and is looking for Vietnamese noodle soups, try out Tea Garden. I'm from California and it reminds me of the pho places there. Staff is limited, so it when it gets busy, you'll be waiting 10-15 min for your food. It's worth the wait though.

I was very excited when they opened this second Tea Garden location. I actually come here more often for food than for drinks. Food: I like to order their bbq pork banh mi. It's super tasty and the pâté spread is great. I also like to order the pho tai -- also great. They leave onion slices inside and sprinkle black pepper on top, which is a nice touch. Drink: It's not the best milk tea, but it's not bad. Like with most boba shops in McAllen, the emphasis is more on syrup flavor than on high quality tea. So I like to order my drinks with 30% sweetness. Atmosphere: The restaurant is very spacious. It seats about 10 parties, which is plenty for a boba shop. Service: The staff are very kind. They make drinks pretty quickly. However, keep in mind that food orders will take some time to prepare. I figure it's to be expected, since their main focus is drinks.

Food is great BUT 1 person taking orders, running food, bussing tables, making tea, AND acting is cashier is abuse, inefficient, and definitely not good customer service.

The #48 pho. So good in flavor. Service is always so nice here. The place has a good clean dining area.

I feel like I had a lot of grace for this place at first because I was just thankful that another Asian food place opened in the valley, but they've never really gotten their act together. I'm not sure if it's just the staff they hire, or what, but they are always incredibly slow to put together any menu item no matter if it's busy or completely dead. It's getting to be tiring, waiting 25 minutes for a sandwich when I'm the only one there even when I called ahead. Unfortunately no one else in the entire RGV makes banh mi.

    Korean corn dog

Wanted to know what all the fuss was about the Korean corn dogs so here we are. The corn dogs are not on their daily menu, which causes the hype to be more intriguing. We ordered one of each to know which one was better. IMO the potato one was better than the original and hot Cheetos one. I understand that the hype is the cheese that pulls once you take the first bite, however I would have liked for the corn dog to have more sausage ( no pun intended) lol. Not just half of the corn dog be the sausage and cheese. Is this a new fav? Not really, however I would like to return to taste the rest of their menu. I did see some people eating Phö and it looked good so maybe next review will be on the Phö. The name of the restaurant might throw people off since it can be seen as only teas sold here. Overall the place is cute, nice decor, a lot of people at least when we went so finding a table can be a bit difficult.

Great Vietnamese food. Especially loved the barbecue pork sandwich. Iced teas were also great (though I got mine with half sugar/sweetness).

Watch out for the hot sauces! The brisket was the best meat choice for my pho. Also they have great boba tea.

By far the the best Phở in the RGV. Ingredients are extremely fresh and the ambiance is very authentic. Truly a great dining experience.
