Seafood pancake
Claudia P.

Had a craving for seafood pancake and since my go-to Korean place was closed on Mondays, I decided to give Kim's Kitchen a try. Glad I did! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. She explained the menu to us since we were a bit confused on the "sides" included with our dishes because they weren't listed on the menu. The "sides" are the banchan dishes. We ordered the seafood pancake, and it did not disappoint. It was nicely filled, had great taste, and the batter was nicely crunchy. I order a glass noodle dish which comes with beef. The noodles were a bit chewy (a tad over cooked) but had a great taste as did the meat itself. Almost like a bulgogi. We also had the rice cakes. I liked the addition of fish skin and cabbage although I do wish there had been more rice cakes and that it had been a bit spicier. I likes the kick! Still good and the right amount of chewiness. All in all, we were satisfied with our meal and it quenched my need for Korean seafood pancake. But I did have to knock one star off because one thing I love about eating at Korean restaurants are the banchan. Other than that, the food and service were great and the place is clean and inviting.

Order the K30 Bulgogi Rice and it was delicious! So happy I was able to find Korean food in the valley.

It was my first time here and to be honest it wasn't that bad! I ordered the bulgogi beef and rice and it was delicious. We went during lunch time and it was pretty busy but the staff made everything flow with ease. I very much enjoyed this place! So glad to have found Korean food in the valley.

Great food and excellent service. Excellent Galbi and bulgogi. Lots of traffic so be careful coming in and out, but worth the try.

Food was okay but was way over priced. For 3 plates it was over sixty dollars, and the serving size didn't make up for it.

I'll just cut to the chase and say this: this was the best Korean food I've ever had! I had Ja Jjang Myeong and bim- bab. They also served me several side dishes. I liked most of them. Some of them were a "why bother" type of thing. When I first walked in, a lady waved me to a table for eight. The furniture looked like they got their tables from a church fellowship hall. The chairs were folding chairs, also. the walls were decorated with K-pop posters. It was one of those places that had their piles of rice in the dining room. But, it felt really comfortable. They had two TVs showing Korean news. The lady who had waved me to the table, came and brought my kim-bab. I was shocked to see two rolls on the plate. They were huge. I expected one like I had had in San Antonio. She came back a little later with the Ja Jjang Myeong. It was in a huge silver bowl. It looked like a serving for four. As I stirred the noodles into the sauce, I saw that there were lots of chunks of pork and cubed potatoes, hiding in the sauce. The sauce was really tasty. It wasn't salty like the ones I've had in San Antonio. All in all, I have to say that bowl of Ja Jjang Myeong was a highlight of my culinary life! I liked that place so much, that I am probably going to go There for dinner this evening. The conference ends at 10 AM, so I have the rest of the day to myself. I'll do some exploring and head over there to try some other dishes. Everybody I saw from my chapter at the conference got to hear about my experience at the restaurant. I know that one member went there last night for dinner. She raved about it!
