Stanley & Grace always gives me the Best Service for over 30 years! He's hands down the Best & always gives the Best Shampoo & grooming for my Rough Collie who has lots of long hair. Yesterday at midnight Lucky sat on some Mouse Glue and her legs and tail were stuck together. I had to use oil to unstick her. I texted Stanley at midnight and right at 6 am he texted he'll pick her up to wash her. He picked her up and cleaned her up and he did an amazing job & she's so clean again & super happy again! This is what Stanley does and cares so much for our Lucky! Nobody will go above and beyond like Stanley! Way to go! She is always so beautiful when she comes home & Stanley groomed our Sadie and Lassie who has passed & who took the best care of them too! Snowball & mostly Stanley & Grace is the Best in the pet grooming Business! read more

We brought our dog here and couldn't be more pleased. Stanley described all that he did to make our "baby" look and feel beautiful. Granted, it is not a slick and fancy place but they did a wonderful job. We will be back! read more

Been coming here for about 5 years but my wife's family has been coming here for way longer, maybe 15 years! Anyway, this isn't just a place for your white puffy dogs but also a place to get your regular fur haired dogs groomed at as well. I love coming here. Stan and his wife are the BEST and can definitely feel the love like we're family whenever we drop out dogs off . Plus, for some reason my dogs love to rush inside this place as soon as I take them out from the car so to me I feel like your dogs are in absolutely the best car while you leave them there. Great pricing, and also great service with drop off and pick up service! read more

Amazing service ‍ Great staff that take pride in their work. They are wonderful with my terrier and the proof is how happy she is whenever I bring her in for grooming. They call me when she's ready, or at least with a pretty accurate estimate to pick her up. This location is much better than the larger and major branded locations. The truth is, we did give them several locations a shot. After underwhelming service and less than professional results, we came back to Snowball. Thank goodness we did, because several years later, we are still quite pleased to report Snowball remains on top. I have referred several family members and friends to this location and they all agree with my rating. Thank you Snowball for taking care of our Zoey all these years. read more

Highly recommend this grooming. The couples are very patient and listening. This is my second dog and my dog go there grooming almost 10 years. I will keep this even I move to other area. read more

I highly recommend Snowball Grooming. It's my second time bringing my dog Macy in for service. I had her groomed last month and the love you feel when you walk in is truly the best knowing you're bringing your fur baby to someone that has the knowledge, that is trustworthy and will take good care of your dog. The reason I took her in was she was spayed by a skunk and I wasn't able to get the smell off her. I called and they fit me in and she no longer smells like a skunk. I can't thank them enough. Truly grateful for finding them and will be coming here for all Macy's grooming needs. Thank you again! read more

I used to like taking my dog here but recently when I took my dog in he did not want to go. It's like he was traumatized by this place the last time he went and was crying when we had to leave him (Note: He usually doesn't do that when he goes to the groomers). I had a bad feeling about it but felt it was too late to leave since we've already signed in and left my dog there. I read the other reviews while waiting for my dog to finish and I only got more anxiety about leaving him there since most of the reviews were saying how this placed neglected their dog. I had to call the place to check up on how my dog was doing and they said he'd already been done. They didn't notify me whatsoever and was just letting my dog sit in a cage. When I got back the price was $65 to shower him, cut his nails, brush his hair, and shave some parts. They don't do teeth or ear cleaning from what they've told me. When I came back home I saw he had cuts all around his stomach. I don't know how the knicked him in that area when he barely has hair there. I will not be returning, there are other places who will do more services for the same price and are more gentle with their dogs. read more

Let me start off by saying that we've been bringing our 2 dogs here for over 10 years. There have been visits where the cut needed some fixing and adjustments but nothing majorly wrong. Unfortunately we noticed that services began declining after the last several visits. The most recent issue and the reason we will no longer go to Snowball was when we picked up our Pomeranian, she had an apparent limp/injury that she did not have when we dropped her off. We asked him if anything happened during her visit and they insisted nothing went wrong and shrugged it off. We have since found a new groomer, check out my other review for location! read more

Worst customer service. Called and the owner was grunting. He didn't even answer politely. Sounded like I was bothering him. he said I'm busy not today. Then he said bring him tomorrow. He didn't even ask for our dogs name or scheduled us. If they treat callers like this, imagine how they treat your dogs in the shop. read more

I can't believe That my dog got fleas here and paid $100!! I saw two fleas when I picked up my dog. I called him and told him that your place needs to pay attention to hygiene and sanitize,As a result, he kept shirk his responsibility. I don't know why they trying to tell me about my dog got fleas is okay! Excuse me????? Do u think that ok????I really can't believe that just happened. read more

Looking for a great place to take your dog to get an awesome hair cut?? Well this is one of the best and I have to tell you they do it right!! I have had places tell me that my dog is acting crazy and they can't cut his hair. Have in mind...that my dog weighs less than four pounds and is a toy poodle. He is not at all big but for some reason many places seem to not favor him at all. So when we got him to go to Snowball grooming it was like heaven! No complaints from the dog groomer and his hair cut actually looks soo amazing and everywhere that doesn't need to have hair really is all taken off. I love love this place and I can't imagine going to another place ever again! It is reasonable, fast and all you have to do is take your doggy in and wait for them to call you back. I love this location is in Arcadia and is pretty close to Huntington Drive. So when you come out to this area you can go grab some sort of lunch such as Olive Garden, BJs or even The Derby all of the restaurants are on Huntington. I drive all the way from La Mirada to come and get my doggy a hair cut and yes it is very much worth the drive because your dog will look the cutest ! read more

I have a cute little yorkie myself We usually just bring our dog here for nail triming and grooming. The total package is around 45 dollars, which is around 20 dollars cheaper if you go to Petsmart. They always did a decent job and dolled up my cute little baby nicely. The only thing i dont like is they sprayed a lot of dog perfume after they finished bathing her :\ its bad for the dog and its bad for myself too.. read more

Snowball Pet Grooming - Hair cut and nail trim for 45 dollars! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Arcadia, California

This review is long overdue. WARNING, this story involves descriptions of death. In September of 2019, our family left our beloved dog with Snowball Pet Grooming for boarding while we left town for a few days. We have used their boarding services in the past and each time, we were assured that the owners of the business would be able to constantly monitor our dog and take care of him. Unfortunately this time around, our dog was strangled to death due to the negligence and lack of care by this store. On September 20th, our family received a phone call from the owner of this store notifying us that our dog had unfortunately passed away while under their care. What we were told was in our opinion a clear case of neglect and carelessness. The owners did not tell us that they had planned on being out of town at the same time as we were and they had left our dog in the care of one of their workers. This is the story that we were told: At closing time one night, our dog was put into a pen on the ground with a metal chain attached to his neck and not inside one of the cages that are normally used for overnight boarding. When the store employee left the store for the night, our dog was left unattended with the chain wrapped around his neck completely unsupervised which is something that any decent veterinarian would tell you is NOT okay. At some point during the night, our dog jumped out of the pen and the chain strangled him to death. This cause of death has been verified by our main veterinarian and although we have picture evidence, I have chosen to not include them with this review due to the sensitive nature of the images. The body was then found in the morning when the store employee opened the store and subsequently transferred for holding at a local veterinarian's office. Now obviously was our dog a little silly for jumping out of pen? Absolutely. He was a pomeranian who loved to bark at things and his curiosity might have attributed to his death. We'll never know because there aren't any cameras in the shop to review the incident. Do we wish that someone had been there to monitor him or maybe not keep a chain around his neck overnight? Definitely. Upon some further investigation into the business's licenses, it was discovered that this business's Conditional Use Permit provided by the City of Arcadia strictly prohibits kenneling or pet boarding. We are saddened that this store made the decision to illegally profit off of their kenneling services and even more saddened that their employees are clearly not capable of providing adequate kenneling services. That document can be viewed here: http://laserfiche.ci.arcadia.ca.us/weblink/DocView.aspx?id=108748&page=1&searchid=1740c2ba-bd36-4713-a8e7-55af02447d77 Our family misses our dog very much. To the credit of the owners, they were apologetic and attempted to resolve this incident by offering to procure us another dog of the same breed as well as covering the cost of the cremation. Unfortunately, nothing can replace the dog that our family loved. Please reconsider using Snowball Pet Grooming for your kenneling services if you are ever in need of these types of services. RIP Riley. read more

Snowball Grooming is the only dog groomer my family has been to. My mom has been taking her dogs to Stanley for over ten years and when I got my first puppy, I knew I was going to do the same. Stanley and his wife are absolute dog lovers and you can tell how much they care for each dog by the way they interact with them. A few weeks ago, I rescued a tiny chihuahua mix who had been running through traffic. It was obvious she had been on the streets for a while. She had lost all the fur on her ears and tail (because of fleas) and was extremely dirty. I called my mom and told her about the dog, who then called Stanley to see if he could help. He was kind enough to stay past his hours and help me get the dog all cleaned up. After two flea baths and a quick nail trim, the dog was returned to me. When I asked Stanley what my total was, he said there would be no charge. He thought I had already done enough by rescuing the dog in the first place and he was more than happy to help me. How amazing is that?! If you are an animal lover and need a groomer, go to Snowball! Its the only place I would ever trust! read more

Located in Downtown Arcadia Snowball Pet Boutique is one of our favorite Pet Grooming stores. My ILs used to take their dog here and recommended them to our other friends. We thought it actually closed down, but found their business card at another Pet store with a different address 207 S. First Ave. Arcadia, CA. So we went to check it out today and we love it. Business hours are M-Sat: 9am-6pm. Our Yorkie never looked so good and I think she knew it. She was so happy strutting out her new do, they even managed to place the cutest little pink bow which also had bling on it and it actually stays on her hair. They also shaved really well around the belly. Would definitely recommend Snowball Pet Boutique. read more

Long overdue review. I brought my large dog here for almost 10 years. My most recent visit he was seemed unhappy to take my dog. Then he proceeds to put my dog inside a kennel and told us he will call when he is done. 5 hours later he calls us and says he can't groom our dog and to come pick him up. What a jerk. He didn't want to groom our dog in the first place and worst of all he kept my dog in a kennel for 5 hours! Then when we got there he said our dog is fat and he can't groom our dog because our dog has a fat body and tiny legs like white people. What the heck? Rude, unprofessional, non-animal lover, excuse king and racist. My suggestion, go somewhere else. Prior to this incident our dog has always been quiet and abnormal after going here. We thought he just didn't like the groom. Now to think about it, I am not sure if he abuses him here. read more

One of my good friend suggested me this place and I decided to give this place a try. I called around local pet grooming since the COVID-19 pandemic. I got lucky and Snowball was open for business but taking appointments only! The owner instructed me when I arrive to park in the back parking lot and to call him when I arrived so he can come out to pickup my pups - flash and cupcake. At first I thought that's sketchy and was hesitant to come. But came appointment day, I took them. They were fast in service. Reason why I decided to give this place one star is because I found flea bites on the back of her neck on my brother's dog cupcake. I notice the couple of reviews here had the same issue too - flea bites. Thankfully, Flash did not have any flea bites. But I told the owners that I wanted him to have a wash and trim. They didn't trim him at all. I was left disappointed. I wouldn't come back here. read more

Always friendly, do a good job, and are quick. Make sure to call in advance to make an appointment.

After reading all the good reviews for this place I decided to bring my maltese in for a full grooming service. I normally go to another place nearby my house but I thought I'd give this place a try even though it cost more and it's 3x farther than the other place. The next day I started noticing that my dogs private part was red and swollen but didn't wanna assume too much of it, thought maybe she's about to go in heat. Later on that night, she started running a fever and thought maybe she caught a cold from shaving off her hair because dogs can catch a cold. This morning her private part looked even redder and INFECTED, I tried cleaning it for her but it was too painful that she yelped and kept resisting. so I gave this place a call and they just told me to bring the dog in tomorrow so they can take a look at it. I do not doubt all the positive reviews by other petowners, but I definitely did not have a good experience with this place. It's extremely heartbreaking to see your pet going through all that pain cause you decided to TRY another place. Very dissapointed, GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!! read more

This place is great! My dog usually gets groomed at Petsmart, but Snowball will be my preference from now on. Snowball offers the courteous service, and great attention to detail, which Petsmart lacked. The cost for my 20lb dog was $50, and they only accept cash. I actually only had $45 cash with me, and they were fine with that. That's pretty awesome. I will gladly pay $50 next time. I brought him in at 10:30 on Saturday, and he was done by 3. They trimmed around my dog's eyes, because he accumulates tear stains. I was really happy with that, since it quite tedious for my shaky hands to trim around his delicate eyes. They also did a great job with the belly, mouth and paws. My dog came out looking great. There were a few other dogs there waiting for their owners, and they looked great as well. The owners speaks English fine, but it seemed to me they prefer to speak mandarin. Maybe it's because they get a lot of Asian customers in the Arcadia area. When I called, they answered in mandarin, and the lady at the counter spoke mandarin to me when I came to pick up my dog. But like I said, their English is fine. Highly recommended! read more

Looking at my previous review.. I actually paid more last time than this time? Haha, I don't get it, but I won't complain. Took my dog here again today. Sadly, I had to drive her over. She's not able to make the walk over anymore. Anyway, the groomer did a great job on my dog again as always, and also notified me of abnormal things he observed with my dog's behavior and things that I should look out for. He went above and beyond. Five stars again. read more

Idk what happened to this place but since they moved across the street from their last spot the quality of their work has been lost its sad that they would cut and or give ur pet razor burn and not even let u know about it shows real professionalism so if u suddenly start to dislike or feel the need to punish ur pet bring them here, that seems to be the only thing they're good at these days read more

I am so pleased with the service I receive from the crew at Snowball Pet Grooming. I had my dear Max for 12 years before he became frail and eventually passed. They were so kind and gentle with Max. Max loved to come visit and get his beautiful lion's cut after a beautifully smelling shampooing. They were always so good to my dog that when he passed, I regretted informing them that Max was gone. Now, I have two puppies who go to Snowball on a regular basis and they love the visit! Everyone does such a great job there. The owner is terrific. He is always involved in the process. Always friendly and accommodating. Always ready to give health advice to me about my doggies. I will never go anywhere else. There is no reason to stray from Snowball! Our Pomeranian Teddy comes here for grooming and he always comes home smelling so good and looking so handsome. I've had Teddy for over 10 years, so needless to say, I have taken him to many pet groomers. Snowball by far makes him look the best, like he stepped out of a 5 star pet salon. They get 1 star knocked off because once they cut his hair when I asked them not to. Also Teddy shakes when I take him here. I can tell he gets scared and he prefers his old groomers in West LA (where he was kissed, cuddled, and held after the grooming). But I don't think he is getting abusive treatment here either because I have seen him react much more negatively towards rough groomers where he would yelp and claw for the exit. Still, overall, we are very happy with this place. Michael, the owner, is helpful and friendly. Teddy is a 6 lb pomeranian and we pay about $30-$35 each visit. read more

I still go to Petsmart but only because this place does not open on Sundays and usually Sundays are my only days off where I have time to take my dog anywhere. This place is a great value for what you get. Their boarding rates are some of the lowest I've ever seen. We board our Westie here whenever we are head out of town on the way to Vegas. They are always flexible about the time that we pick her up and never nickel and dime us. The grooming is good, but could use some work. They have nicked her a few times and cut her fur too short. Furthermore, the made her look like a Schnauzer several times LOL. However, it's a very reasonably priced groom and they do try their best to do a good job. Overall, if you want a good value play, this is a great choice. You won't be disappointed with what you get for the price. read more

I have been thoroughly pleased with how the staff treats my chonky, medium-sized dog. My dog (Zoey) is very wary of being left with anyone other than her owners, and she was quick to become friends with the groomers here since we started going here over a year ago. They love having her, and have helped to reduce the anxiety that my dog has! I have gotten several tips regarding which brushes to use on my dog, since this is the first time I have owned a chow-mix (which has more undercoat than a German Shepherd!). They always do a great job of blowing out her undercoat, getting her fur smooth, smelling good, and making sure she's 100% dry (something I struggle with at home). read more

I'd give them negative stars if I could We used to take our then puppy Border Collie to their previous location on Baldwin Ave in Arcadia for grooming. One time we had to leave overseas for a short trip and decided to board the dog here. A decision we still regret till this day. Asked a friend check up on him when she's free to see how he's doing at the shop. He was so very excited to see her that he peed and couldn't wait to get away from the pet shop owner, then she noticed there was red chaff marks around his mouth and the fur was matted. When she confronted the owner, after much excuse and looks, lo and behold, they confessed to have tied his mouth up with a ROPE because apparently he was "crying and whining too much" from missing us. He was never walked, caged up in the kennel the whole time, then had his mouth tied for being noisy. He quakes in fear when he sees the owner so one can only assume they must've done something else equally horrible or worse during his stay... If only there was photos taken at the time to show for proof, should have reported them right away. Can't believe they relocated and are still in business, thought they had closed down for good. Don't know if it's the same owners as the previous Snowball grooming shop but PET LOVERS BEWARE!!! read more
