We've given it several chances over the past couple of years, and the same issues continue to disappoint. The chicken is cooked well but lacks seasoning, and the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The fried green beans were easily the highlight of today's meal. We came in knowing the food has been underwhelming in the past, so our expectations weren't particularly high. Honestly, we were more interested in enjoying the atmosphere on such a beautiful day. Unfortunately, the back doors were closed, eliminating the indoor/outdoor experience we had hoped for. We decided to stay anyway, but it may have been our last visit. The biggest issue continues to be the service. Appetizers consistently arrive with the main course rather than beforehand, defeating the purpose of ordering them. I completely understand that a whole fried chicken takes time to prepare, especially if it's cooked to order, but there's no reason appetizers shouldn't arrive well before the meal. Today, we waited nearly 25 minutes for our food, only to have everything arrive together. There was also only one bartender working. He was friendly and doing his best, but clearly overwhelmed, resulting in painfully slow service. Meanwhile, dining room service was so inadequate that families were having to approach the bar just to place their orders. What makes this so frustrating is that these aren't isolated incidents. We've experienced the same service issues repeatedly over the last couple of years. The atmosphere and concept are fantastic, but the execution simply doesn't match the potential. I genuinely want to love this place, but at some point, the experience has to improve. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll be giving it another chance.

Nashvird was a pleasant oasis from the chaos downtown. I got a hot dang salad with grilled chicken, and it was exactly the refreshment and substance that I needed. With level three spice, it was just on the verge of being too hot for me. It was excellent! The patio is spacious and the indoor dining area is also clean. Service was friendly and paper towels were plentiful!

Here is what we ordered 2 hot chicken sandwich combos, one with tots and the home-wrecker sauce, the other with fries and the original hot dang sauce. Fried pickles, Mac and cheese tots and 2 drinks. Chicken was good but was overly seasoned with what they toss it in I assume, nice and moist chicken but way way way too salty, tots were very undercooked, fries were great and still crispy. Fried pickles were sliced paper thin and was mostly only the batter Mac and cheese bites were phenomenal. My biggest complaint was nothing was packaged with care and everything was tossed around in the bag, For the amount of money that was spent, I would say proceed with caution as it may not be what you're expecting, not sure if I'll give it another try.

Chicken Shack 2 Go for the win!…read more My business sent lunch to a city organization today as thanks for all the city does for us (keeping us safe, taking our calls and questions, etc.). We took broasted chicken, fried okra, beans and coleslaw to two city offices. Food was well packaged, traveled easily and was hot or cold (as it should be) and ready to serve when it was delivered. CS2G management and staff were completely helpful and accommodating! Price was right on target too. Great food, great deal, great experience! And now I want broasted chicken for dinner!

The drums hanging from the ceiling are gone. The seating arrangement has been slightly changed and the north and south walls have received a rustic update. The interior venue is country rustic, very casual, and somewhat tired. Their speciality is Broasted chicken. If you're not familar with broasted chicken, I pulled this description from Google: "Broasted chicken is bone-in chicken that is marinated, coated in a special spice blend, and cooked in a specialized pressure fryer". We each ordered a beer. Jan ordered a Blue Moon and I ordered Guniess. They have a good selection of beers. I ordered chips and queso, that we did not need, but the chips were thin and crispy and the queso was very good. On the happy hour menu they offered fried chicken gizzards with french fries ($5). Jan loves chicken gizzards and you dont find them often. I don't like them and didn't try them, but Jan said they were very good. We then ordered a whole chicken with a double order of fried okra in lieu of a second side ($26.50) The chicken and okra were very good. You order at the counter and they serve you at your table. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The prices are reasonable. We had a good time and enjoyed our meal and will have two more meals with what we took home. Broasted chicken and fried okra will warm up nicely in an air fryer.
