Pad Thai Noodle with Veg & Tofu
    Ashleigh M.

I've been to the Panang 9 before in Yukon, and this Panang 2 is smaller and feels older. We came on a Monday for lunch, my group of 8 colleagues. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server took our drink orders; when I asked for sweet tea, he informed me there was only unsweet, but didn't offer or bring me the packets of sugar I saw on another patron's table. My colleagues highly recommend the Thai tea - tea with (what I believe is) half and half. I ordered the pad Thai with veggies and tofu. I've experienced the tofu in smaller cuts before and these were not marinated very thoroughly. The veggie cuts were huge. The (pork?) roll was unexpected as well as the sweet and not so sour dipping sauce. The noodles themselves were delish but were stretchy - and not in the best way. Shouldn't they break when pulled apart? Eventually? The server didn't ask for our desired spice level, which would have made this dish so much better if I had remembered to ask for more spice. Oh well, it's such a large portion, I always end up taking some home and reheating it myself on the stove and I add my own spice back in. I recommend the Panang 9 in Yukon over this location.

absolutely love Panang2!!! their chicken pad thai, green curry, and their Tom Kha Gai soup are all incredible. you cannot go wrong with anything you order here. The staff is so sweet and the restaurant is always clean and quiet. We love coming here every Sunday!

Been here a few times. Service is very good, food came out quick! One thing though, watch the spice levels. Seems like various dishes have a different type of spiciness. I got spice level three and it was enough.

My coworker and I decided we wanted Thai food for dinner. We found Panang 2 on Yelp and wanted to try it out. Since it was 20° out, we wanted comfort food and settled on their curries. He had the Green Curry. I chose the Evil Jungle Chicken Curry. According to him, it was one of the best curries he's had. For me, my food was delicious. The Evil Jungle was sweet and spicy. The chicken was minced, which I didn't mind. The chicken in the Green Curry was chunks of meat. All of the spices danced together in one big harmony. So yummy and delicious!! Each bowl comes with a pile of white rice. Honestly, I didn't need the rice but I did scoop some spoonfuls into my bowl. I'd definitely be back to try some of the other curries and items on the menu.

While on a business trip, I had a hankering for Thai food. Panang2 was not too far from my hotel, so I stopped by with a few coworkers for dinner. The restaurant was not very busy for a Friday night, so we were seated right away. The menu had a lot of options, but I opted to stick with the tried-and-true Pad Thai chicken. Portions are huge and the dish hit the spot. Not too sweet, plenty of veggies, and I liked that you could tell they used fresh julienne'd carrots and other veggies. Overall, the food and service were great. I'd try Panang2 again if I'm ever in OKC. (Note: Panang has multiple locations, so if you search for it, you'll see Panang[#])

I've had this location #2 twice. The first time was many years ago! But this Thai food is still as good as it was the first time. The wait staff were great. And the inside is quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed a great lunch by myself, and it was perfect. I want to try more menu items. I had a lot leftovers and asked for a to-go box, and they had the perfect set up with a re-heatable plastic container for the curry, boxes for rice and spring rolls, a sauce container, and a bag! I love that kind of takeaway service.

Found Panang2 on Yelp, saw the positive reviews and gave it a try. Our group of six had a great dinner. We were able get a table quickly and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered lots of food and it was all delicious. - Fried squid - Egg rolls - Pad Thai - Green curry - Pineapple fried rice - Spicy Basil noodles - Mango with sticky rice One of our friends had never had Thai food so this was a great introduction. We ordered it all mild and individuals added spice as needed.

First time here, stopped by on a whim. The selection was great and prices were fair. The lunch combos change daily. Would definitely come back. The curries were delicious. The pad Thai was a little sweet but still good.

Large portions are not enough. My (toddler) children can eat Panang2's food without any problems, that's how dull it usually is. Anyone who tells you that Panang2 has the best (or most flavorful) Thai food is someone: 1. who is terribly wrong 2. with weak taste-buds 3. who is overly involved with their HOA (I'm sayin' y'all like upper middle-class levels of safe) 4. you shouldn't trust to know much about Thai food as a whole Panang2's lunch specials are popular, but it's pretty obvious that all the lunch special items (the pad thai, the curries of the day, etc.) are made in large batches. And because they have to pander to the lowest common denominator (as far as customers with the ability to handle strong flavors), these large batch items all end up being super bland. Then based on how much spice you say you can handle when you order from the lunch menu, they just throw additional spice on top after the fact. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you pick, you'll end up in the same dissatisfied place (like when I'd make different choices on a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but I'd die regardless of what path I chose). To summarize, I'ma just quote my wife: "... yeah, it's a lot of food, but it's a lot of boring food." Fight me on this, you boring people. P.S. the spring roll is dope. Which I'm fairly certain is not made in-house but I don't care, it's dope.

Did the lunch special and it was decent! It has been 7 years since I last dined here! There was a lot of Pad Thai to eat. Mixed Vegable Stir Fry was really good!

Can I rate more than 5 stars!? Yes this place does chicken curry the RIGHT way. (As if I'm a professional chef) My first time ordering it ... However a friend brought it to a potluck & I loved it. Empty nest and I may have over ordered...but the leftovers will be just as delicious. Mask life was in effect. & It was posted at the door..+2 stars The line was short (call in order) I ordered the C1 & C3. both came with a generous portion and with rice. It was flavor packed and the heat was there!!!.. Yummo. The food came out piping hot and still was when I got it home. I also ordered a 4 pack of egg rolls. It was pretty delightful & delicious. +5 stars I will go back for sure. They get a phenomenal review from me. The staff is friendly & delightful as well. Keep up the good work. My monies were well spent! Glad to have leftovers Respectfully Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

Today's meal was a GrubHub special since I'm in the office and didn't want to get out of my flow state to pick up food. The order arrived hot and fresh. The service is incredibly fast and attentive, which made the experience even better. I've ordered so much takeout from this place that I feel like I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and here are my top recommendations. Also, this place has hands down the best Khao Soi in town! Appetizers -Grilled Pork (Moo Ping) -- Juicy, tender, and flavorful. -Fried Angel Chicken Wing -- Super crispy with a tasty marinade. -Chicken or Pork Pot Stickers -- Great starter; crispy outside, juicy inside. -Shumai -- Light, flavorful, and always cooked just right. Salad -Yum Woon Sen Seafood -- Fresh, tangy, with just the right amount of heat. -Papaya Salad with Dried Shrimp -- The perfect summer salad! I usually ask for extra Thai chilies and lime for that spicy, zesty kick. Main Dishes -Thai Chicken Rice (Kao Mun Gai) -- The best chicken rice ever -- simple but comforting. -Fried Chicken Rice -- Like Kao Mun Gai, but with crispy fried chicken instead of steamed -- so satisfying. Thai Basil Stir-Fried Pork: You can get it with ground or crispy pork; both are amazing. -Crispy Pork Stir-Fried Kai-Lan -- Just as good as the basil pork, a perfect balance of savory and crunchy. -Thai Garlic Pork (Moo Gra Tiem) -- Fragrant, garlicky, always hits the spot. Curry Chicken Noodles (Khao Soi) is my absolute favorite dish here. They're creamy, rich, and flavorful. The chicken portion (thigh/breast) is huge, too! -Roasted Duck Noodle Soup -- Comforting, with tender duck and a rich, savory broth. -Tom Yum Noodle Soup -- Spicy, sour, and so warming, packed with flavor. Desserts / Drinks -Thai Tea -- Sweet, creamy, and the perfect way to cool down. -Mango Sticky Rice -- A classic done right, fresh mango, sticky rice, and just the right amount of coconut sauce. This spot and Panang (next door) have easily become one of my all-time favorite Thai restaurants. The food is always consistently delicious, the portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the value is unbeatable. It never lets me down, whether dining in or grabbing takeout!
