Best Mangloneada I've had. They are off railroad in Pittsburg most days, anytime I see them I have to stop and get me one ! :)

Sticky table tops come with the territory! We stand by "Aloha Ice"…read more That being said, I'm in no position to tell any business owners when, what or how to go about and run their businesses, but as a "small family business" supporter, we try to plan our "weekly dates" by checking their schedule on IG & FB or at times, I'll simply DM and ask if they're open on a certain date, no biggie. Aloha Ice falls into its own category. Having visited Kauai and Oahu multiple times, we have yet to discover any shave ice as good as Aloha Ice. Everything they serve is homemade especially the syrups! Their range of flavors simply cannot be compared to just any other "Torani" syrup, Rita's Italian Ice, 7/11 Icee or any sno-cone out there portraying to be "shave ice."

The presentation of their halo halo is cute and the way it was displayed as well giving the impression it will taste amazing and guess what, it is!! I think the shaved ice is delicious but when it melts to liquid it's very sweet and creamy so I suggest enjoying with someone too because I am so looking forward to bring others here for a cool and sweet treat. Staff was kind and sweet. I did ask to not include coconut shavings but they call it coconut strips but luckily it was easy to take out than how most halo halo has it under the ice like even premade already, just got a cup and took it out. Parking seems crazy because of the buffet near by with people waiting around outside but I was able to find a convenient way in Coming back again soon summer 2025

A few things I wish the fruit was layered in the snow so as soon as you finish the fruit or topping all you have left is sweet ice. The mango was a little sour but the neon balls were sweet. I didn't try the croffle or ramen. I was so full. One thing they are next to a bar so the inside was full so our party sat outside on a warm night but the smoke from next door kept lingering over to the tables which is a bit annoying while eating. Later on a few tables opened up so we moved inside.

The welcome screen tells you to choose chips, a drink, ramen, and toppings, but it's not clear what's optional. When I went to pay, the cashier asked "No chips?" like I was missing something, so I added chips and drinks. What I thought would be a quick, inexpensive lunch for two ended up costing $39. After paying, and being prompted to leave an 18% tip, I then had to cook the noodles myself, since that's how the restaurant operates. I don't mind cooking my own food, but $39 for two packs of ramen, about 10 pieces of rice cake, two small juices, and chips , with self-service cooking , felt excessive.I should have went to hot pot, better serving sizes. Service was flat and pricing wasn't transparent. Not worth the money. I wouldn't return.

Afterwards, it was time for something cold and refreshing and I saw the yelp listing for Tikiz. I used the Message the Business feature to find out where they might be and John M., the owner quickly replied by yelpmail that they were at Lowe's in Antioch but would be leaving in a hour for a party. Since we were only 12 minutes away, we headed straight to the Lowe's parking lot. There was a Food Truck serving Mexican food with a canopy and tables and chairs for their guests and there was the Tikiz Truck with a small fold-up aluminum picnic style table and benches. There were cushions on the seats to prevent hot butt but with no canopy, it didn't look at all inviting. We were asked if this was our first visit (it was) and the process was explained to us. You pick the size, small, medium, large for $5, $6 & $7. Ice cream on the bottom is +$1 and Coconut Cream or Passionfruit Syrup on top is another +$1. Once you choose your size and extras, you pay and they assemble your ice cream (if any) and ice. You get to choose one of the ten available flavors of syrup and put it on yourself. Then you hand it back to them if you wanted a topping. Service was okay. I know I would not have wanted to be working inside their truck on such a hot day. The product presented was not what I would call Shaved Ice but Snow Cones. We have consumed many Shaved Ice in Hawaii and the texture of this ice was all wrong. Additionally, it wasn't packed down properly as adding syrup caused the ice to melt. Now it could be that the syrup was warm as it is fed from the inside of the truck to dispensers outside the truck and that side of the truck was in direct sunlight. Serving the Ice in paper cups is probably not a good idea as the serving sizes seemed awfully small for the price paid. We ordered 1 small, 1 large, both with ice cream and coconut cream and paid $15. (sigh)
