One thing they are next to a bar so the inside was full so our party sat outside on a warm night but the smoke from next door kept lingering over to the tables which is a bit annoying while eating. I've been on a shaved ice kick recently and decided to drop in and try Ice Monster's coffee shaved ice - and it did not disappoint. It was soft and light and just divine. You order from a tablet at the front, but their service was friendly and helpful when delivering the food, and there is plenty of seating out front. We've also had items delivered a couple times, and they're always well packed and in great condition (not melted) when we receive them. All in all we'll definitely keep ordering from Ice Monster and have been loving their frosty wares!

Absolutely the best way to cool down! I was thrilled to discover Ice Monster in Walnut Creek! Not only can I get an authentic Taiwanese shaved ice, but they have an incredible variety of ice flavors (strawberry, mango, green tea, etc) and toppings. They also have boba tea (which also originated in Taiwan), milk tea, regular ice cream, freshly cooked Chinese finger foods, and more. The place has tables inside and out and is always immaculate. I also really appreciate that they don't add the problem of landfills overflowing with plastics! They use real dishes and real silverware. I don't know of any other place that conscientious. I have been going here for 8 years. It was started by a couple from Taiwan and the owners the last several years are from China. They keep the place open seven days a week, but even with that grueling work schedule, the customer service is always fantastic. They go out of their way to keep their customers happy. Apparently, I'm not the only one who loves the place, because when school gets out, the place is filled with teenagers and families with children. It's a great place to hang out. I've tried other places in the East Bay, but this is my absolute favorite place for Chinese shaved ice, boba tea, and other yummy foods. I can't recommend them highly enough!

It's nice to have a go-to Poke place like Oke Poke! My last visit was for a free dole whip (pineapple and strawberry available) and there were several kind employees waiting behind the counter to assist in any way. The seating area and food preparation areas are nice and clean, location pleasant in a not-too-busy-but-accessible part of downtown Walnut Creek, and of course the poke itself is very tasty too. I like how ordering on the app for pickup is a streamlined and simple process (for group orders too!) There's create your own poke, sushi burritos, or nachoes or you can go with a recommended preset. Avocado is not extra!! And there are lots of unique options from rice noodle base to crawfish as a choice of protein. ~$20 for a large bowl with 5 scoops of protein is a good price to me. The moment I find out a place has bad quality fish, I pretty much blacklist them. It's not worth the food poisoning, so I'm super happy to find a second poke place with good fish! By the time I got to the bingsu I barely had room I was so full. Same owners as Yifang, Super nice couple. Everything was clean. She was preparing the rice and another male employee came out and was packing the meat and left it on the counter. She asked why he packed 2 pork adobos and his response was enough for me to not want to come back. He had a NASTY attitude and smart remark, he basically said it was obviously not the same and that he knows how to read the ticket and it honestly just made me feel hella awkward for the girl because of the way he talked to her. She seemed like she shook it off and then proceeded to tie the bag of my order. She then asked him if he wanted her to transfer the adobo he brought out in a pot from the back and he didn't respond.
