I have tried almost every drink on the menu and unfortunately I wont be returning. Due to the drinks simply lacking flavor and a weird point policy. I had asked a cashier what drink they recommended that had flavor and wasn't super milky. (The white rabbit was literally gross) They recommend the Ube milk tea that was also flavorless... Additionally, I had came in with my mother one day and we had ordered at least 6 drinks but I had noticed once our transaction was over that I had forgot to add my phone number to the reward system. I had asked the cashier if I could have my receipt to input them and they notified me that they could not add points to my account nor could I contact anyone to add them. I usually like to try a whole menu before I call it quits however that point thing was my last straw. The customer service is amazing the employees are very friendly. Small little place but serves halo halo the way I like it. Usually halo halo comes with a mixture of filling hence the name halo halo means assorted mixture. This place offers original version that comes with sweet bananas, sweet potatoes, lechery flan or custard, jellies, ice cream and rice crispies. I opted out of the rice crispies. They also offer a customized version that you can put whatever you want for an additional price. I am not a fan of red beans or any beans in my halo halo so I was happy with the original. This is the first time I actually finished the entire dessert ha ha ha. The only thing about this place is they do not have very much parking space. It is located in a small business area that they share parking spaces with. This place is attached to a Filipino bakery. So if you want to eat Filipino food and have dessert after, you can grab a bite here as well. read more

Walked into this place and automatically felt like it was a little small. Being my first time there, I honestly didn't feel welcomed coming in. As we were ordering, they didn't have any mango available as a topping which I found quite disappointing. The dessert honestly looked a lot better than they actually were. Been here so many times and never had a problem when ordering halo-halo until yesterday. I ordered 6 online. If your halo-halo doesn't automatically come with ice cream maybe you guys should change the description on the online menu. So we had 6 halo-halos none of them with ice cream. Barely half a teaspoon of Ube halaya and some with none. All that was in our cups were the bananas, jello, pinipig, leche flan, ice and milk. Once getting there one of the workers made eye contact with my husband and all of them looked but no one walked up to the window and there were five people working. -__- seriously I always hype this place up to people, at least live up to it. read more

It's lighter, and there are LAYERS to your ice cream. The flavors here are awesome. Went here for the first time and i'm not really impressed. I ordered a halo-halo which I customized myself and ended up paying $10 for. I don't think it was worth it because I barely had any ice cream though I payed $1.50 for an extra scoop. I hadn't realized it until I left but there was no flan.. I had asked for it with : Jello, Jackfruit, Coconut Gels, Coconut Flakes, FLAN and SWEET BANANA (which I also didn't get). Honestly, I feel the ingredients weren't "fresh" and what I mean by that is - the jello had a weird texture like you're squishing orbeez in your mouth.. the jackfruit had a weird after taste (I know it's from a can but it tastes like it had sat out for a while, I cant explain it well), the coconut gels usually come soaking in a sweet syrup which does add a bit of flavor but these were bland like they've been washed off or something.. that doesn't help bc the halo-halo itself wasnt really sweet at all. Seems like just ice with evaporated milk. - I also ordered the Ube Shaved Ice which didn't really have a strong flavor.. it was very light - One thing I will admit tasted good was the Pandan Milk Tea. It had a nice strong flavor. I only know of one other place that makes it, so it's nice to have another place to go to for that. I don't mean to be rude, this is just an opinion from my personal experience. I am still open to trying other items. read more

I was so happy I stopped at Snoice; it was my first time here. I tried the Tarchata (Taro and Horchata milk tea) with boba. It had the right amount of sweetness. The boba had a wonderful texture; it did not overpower the drink, making it a delight to sip on. Love this place. It's very nice and modern on the inside. I've ordered regular ice cream and the shaved ice. Shaved ice is amazing and I recommend the mango. It's very thin and so even getting the medium (which is huge!!) will fill you Up without making you feel heavy like regular ice cream. I can't resist milk tea, so when I saw Snoice on the way to Sweetwater Summit for the weekend, I had to stop. Ordered classic (black) and wintermelon, and they were delicious. Lots of tea flavor, and you can customize the sweetness level, which I always appreciate. I loved it so much that I went back for a few more drinks (Okinawa and strawberry, which were both just as good) on the way home. Next, is the food I ordered two halo halo and taro milk tea she place it on a plastic. I asked her to give me a different cover for the halo halo so it won't spill and she said she can't help me with that. I asked for a cup holder and she said they ran out. Sometimes you just don't need to pick from 50 different flavors. FYI: - Small, but expanding! Just within the last year they've added outside seating - Only 2 drink sizes, Small or Large - Parking might be difficult (lot is shared - but check the back!) NOTE: I haven't tried anything aside from their drinks, but I hear their Thai Tea Shaved Snow is great! MY RECOMMENDATION: Okinawa milk tea with boba! The quality of their drinks is top-notch and up to par with some of the best boba and Asian desert spots in OC/LA and Bay area. They have boba, halo-halo, ice cream sandwiches, and shaved-ice amongst other Asian (Filipino inspired) goodies. We ordered the boba milk tea as it was what everyone was into on Yelp. It was a little too sweet for me. Also, I usually appreciate when they ask for the ice level and sweetness level - they don't do either here. We also ordered a pandesal ice cream sandwich with ube ice cream. This was bomb. Though my relatives have been doing this ever since and ube is my favorite, I might be biased. we came here 4th of july because we were craving for some halo halo and my friends have had snoice catered for their wedding receptions, so i've previously had their boba but not their halo halo. we ordered two; one regular halo halo and one customized. the service was good and the worker was really nice. the wait time wasn't too long. the reason why i'm giving 3 stars is because one of our halo halo's had a rock in it. my halo halo (the regular) was good, but the customized one we had - my boyfriend thought he was crunching on hard ice but he noticed it was super hard so he spit it out and it was a piece of rock. how does that get in there? we of course called the store to let them know and they said they would have their manager call us back to fix the error, however, it is now july 9th and no call so far. i figure, for the price of halo halo sold here versus making it at home, i think we'll just stick to making it at home. read more

Snoice is one of my favorite dessert shops in SD--so much so that my husband and I said "f the cake" and used their services for our wedding. We did a boba + shaved snow bar for our wedding and we couldn't be happier. The Snoice team was so communicative throughout the whole process and super easy to work with--which is heaven-sent when you're planning your entire wedding yourself! Our guests were stoked about our dessert selections; they even let us customize one of the milk teas to be dairy-free as milk alternatives are super popular these days. I came here for dessert and had this place bookmarked for awhile as well. I was near the area so I decided to get some halo halo here. As we entered, there was a menu above and with a check in on Yelp, you get a free topping. To drink I got a mango iced tea with boba. The boba was my free topping. I also got the traditional halo halo. It's 75 cents additional with the ice cream. I got ube ice cream. I really enjoyed my halo halo. It had ube ice cream, pinipig (which is the Filipino version of rice crispies), sliced up bananas, red jello, and leche flan (Filipino version of a flan) and of course the shaved ice and the milk. This Filipino dessert was delicious. The mango iced tea with boba was refreshing and boba was soft and chewy. I definitely enjoyed my desserts. Such a great place for your desserts. There were tables inside. Pretty chill place with music playing in the background. There were also games kids can play in the corner. I will definitely be back for more. read more

If you've ever seen the Key and Peele skit "NOOOICE" this restaurant was playfully named after it. Great choice, btw. They specialize in Taiwanese and Filipino desserts, shaved snow and halo halo. But they also offer your cafe drink specials; boba, tea, and ice cream! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended which shave ice to get and the best toppings, so I went with it. Ended up with Avocado shaved snow with fruity pebbles and custard. Along with that, I ordered the original halo halo without the red beans and their ube taro drink. I love the texture of shaved snow. Instead of being grinded as ice then flavored with syrups, shaved snow is first mixed with a base of milk and water, then frozen into big blocks. From there, it is sliced into thin ribbons of snow, that delicately melts in your mouth. I remember growing up, my parents would make halo halo as a summer treat, but I always DESPISED the red beans. Snoice allows you to pick your ingredients, so I never have to deal with those again! This drink was nostalgic and filling for me at the same time! Their ube/taro blended drink was thick and creamy. The ube flavor was a bit overpowering, I couldn't really tell if there was taro in it at all. It's not like you can see the difference of color between the two. Every time I go and get a drink at their storefront, it's always great. My usual drink is a Strawberry Fruit Tea, sometimes with boba, and sometimes without. When I do get a drink with boba, it is always made perfectly. The boba is never hard, and it always tastes great. Whenever I get my usual drink, or try some different drink, the flavor is always good as well. I'm not a big fan of Halo-Halo, or Shaved Snow. I have had them here, and they were okay. I didn't think they were anything special. I have to say though, a lot of my friends have had misses at Snoice. Just last week a few of my friends came over and brought drinks from Snoice. My drink was great, but I can't say the same for my friends. They got a Taro Milk Tea, and 2 Thai Teas, and they tasted so watered down. I didn't believe them because I've never had issues with the flavor of their drinks, but they indeed tasted watered down and had almost no flavor at all. It was really upsetting, and apparently it's happened to them on separate occasions as well. The service is good. There was only one instance where a cashier was rude to me, but I'm going to dismiss it because usually the employees are always kind and courteous. Parking can be limited sometimes because the lot is small, and there are a few other businesses who are in the same shopping area. Overall, I have to give Snoice a 3/5 stars because of drink inconsistency. Although I generally have had good experiences with Snoice, I can't ignore how awful my friend's drinks were. Prices are affordable and hours are great. read more
