I recently visited GTC after a high school basketball game with some friends and while we had a good experience I wanted more. The atmosphere is great. Dive bar feel that is clean and has charm and a great neighborhood vibe. The band in the corner didn't drown out our conversation and played old country music that was fun and upbeat. Our waiter was great offering suggestions and checking in on us regularly. Where the disappointment came in was our food and drinks. We ordered sliders, quesadilla, and the Philly cheesesteak. All of them were "fine" with the sliders being more bread than slider and same for the Philly. The quesadilla was the best of the options and had lots of ingredients packed in. Our drinks were also less than ideal as they seemed to have zero alcohol. If you are gonna drink go with beer since what you see is what you get. Cocktails were short pours and watered down. I even called them out after the first one and nothing changed with the second so I stopped donating. At the End of the Day, Good Time Charlis is not a bad stop and I'm sure the regulars are die hard. So if you go, let me help in my experience and simply order a quesadilla, beer of choice, and listen to the band...the best part of the night.

However, the crowd, noise level, and how packed it gets really depends on when you come in. Weekday lunch is significantly quieter, but evenings after work and weekends, especially when there's a band, get loud and busy fast. They have a large outdoor patio, which is a nice plus, but it was pretty smoky when we were there. Nice energy, just not the best for non-smokers. *Service: there were a lot of servers working, and ours was very sweet, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Exactly what you hope for in a bar like this. I felt "taken care of" and you can't put a price on that. *Overall: casual, lively, loud, and far better food than you'd ever expect. If you want a laid-back local spot with great food, live music, and a neighborhood feel, this is a solid pick and one you could easily end up visiting regularly. The dressing was nice and chilled. Tasted a tad more like ranch than caesar but good nonetheless. I asked for blue cheese dressing and it is DELICIOUS! Finally, I ordered a 12" red pizza and added musthrooms and basil with garlic dipping sauce on the side. Again cooked to perfection. The dough is so good! Loved the overall experience, and it was fun watching different people ease in for karaoke!
