The Cobb salad is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
Cheryl C.

I love this bar! Diamonds is our "neighborhood bar". We can easily walk here to take in a game or just to eat. The food never disappoints . My favorites are still the Cobb salad, the fish and chips, or any of their burgers. They also have great wings. Every seat in the restaurant has a good view of a television. There is also a small outdoor patio area with televisions also. The service is always great. Several of the employees have been there a really long time. I highly recommend!

Steak sandwich with cheese comes with grilled onions and shrooms, w side fries, regular crinkle fry.

I got the steak sandwich and fries to go, fries were good, I like a lil spice seasoning a crisp to mine.. but they were good just regular fries. Steak sandwich was good. I would return and probably try something else they have lots to choose from. It's a chill casual sports bar restaurant vibe. Service also was good, helpful friendly waitress we were greeted a sat right away.

Menu

Great service, good food and great specials. Came in for lunch and to watch the Cubs game and the place was already hopping, despite Karen being the only server on the floor she managed to take great care of us and many other tables. You can't beat the beer prices (under $8 for a pitcher) and we had the special which the pastrami on marble rye with French fries for $12.99 it was very tasty. We will be back.

The type of music they play it on the machine.
Nick G.

This is a cool place, great food, great service. But, OMG the music the locals play on the jukebox will literally piss you off. I love music, but I literally cannot take it anymore and had to leave. Holy crap it sicks ass. It's loud, which is awesome, damn, play some classic rock that we all know. One star only because of the music, otherwise definitely five stars.

They don't do reservations but you can call ahead. I called at 1130am to ask them to have a table for 12 available for 3pm for us. I walked in and no waiting it was all set up and welcoming us! I ordered a prickly pear Margarita and my friends were jealous that mine was better than theirs lol. Delish!! I snacked on Calamari, Pub Pretzels and Loaded Beef Nachos. Everything was cooked to perfection and a sharing size! My friends had burgers and a Monte Cristo and enjoyed their meals. There was plenty of seating and parking when we got there at 3. They have a lunch specials menu and a happy hour menu. We will be back and definitely recommend them.

The servers know us, everyone is friendly, and the service is always welcoming. There are so many menu items we love that the hardest part is honestly deciding what to order. Everything we've had has been delicious! You have good supervisors, strong upper management, servers who genuinely seem to care, and cooks who consistently deliver. Whatever the secret sauce is behind the scenes, they've figured it out. It's rare to find a place that consistently gets so many things right, but this location does. They nail it 99% of the time, and that consistency is exactly why we keep coming back. Great food, great people, great systems. Keep doing what you're doing!

The Hub Grill and Bar - GF hot wings

My wife and I just ate at Hub Grill and Bar (Stapley location) while visiting Mesa and it was…read moreoutstanding! First of all, the service really made the experience memorable. Our server, Jessica (Jess), acknowledged and greeted us quickly, checked on us periodically and handled anything we needed gracefully (for example, drink refills, more napkins, etc.), and her personality was engaging. She was a lot of fun, guided us through the menu, and overall just made the experience memorable. My wife has a gluten allergy and Hub Grill and Bar not only offers a much more extensive set of options than most restaurants, but menu items that are really hard to find in GF versions - like fish n chips and fried chicken items, not just the gluten-free or gluten-friendly items that are naturally GF like proteins and rice. This place deserves a lot of credit just the selection of GF items, but they actually execute on delivering delicious tasting GF items! And they even have a dedicated fryer. I tried her gluten-free Hub Fried Chicken and I wouldn't have even noticed it was GF if I hadn't known in advance. They manage to make a great tasting GF breading that doesn't fall right off the chicken. And the chicken itself is moist and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. French fries were also crispy, hot, and tasty! The wings (cooked in the dedicated fryer, a total bonus) really are what everyone raves about. Best wings we've had in a long time, and we get wings as an appetizer in most restaurants. We didn't even try the smoked variation yet, wanted to start with the traditional version in El Jefe sauce and that sauce was just terrific! We normally ask for the sauce on the side and just forgot to do so at Hub Grill and Bar, but it worked out perfectly anyway because that sauce was so great. Just a little spice, great flavor (a hint of lime, a little cilantro taste), crispy outside, and moist and tender on the inside. It will be hard not to crave those wings. I'm still thinking about them. I had the (regular) fish n chips and it was also great. Flaky fish with a crispy breading on the outside that really stuck to the fish, along with great French fries, a little side of cole slaw and even a few slices of garlic bread. I forgot to mention before now that the portions are sizable and you really get your money's worth here. I think it was two or three nice big pieces of fish let alone fries, slaw, and bread! A lot of restaurants offer MAYBE two pieces and sometimes even one for their fish n chips. Hub's was two or three big pieces (they are more flat like a cutlet than the thick pieces you see sometimes but still, plenty of fish). And there are SO many more items we'd love to try here (the peanut butter and bacon burger, shaved ribeye sliders, and steak stroganoff just to name a few). We really are looking forward to our next visit. I'd even consider planning a visit to Mesa just to eat here! Now, what drew us here was the gluten free menu, but the great service, wide array of menu items and delicious food is what will bring us back again when in the area.

We are big fans of the hub, until today. Today was a terrible and unpleasant experience from the…read moretime we sat down. Our server, which I'll loosely use as a way to describe him, was lackluster and we felt as if we were a nuisance to him just being here. Yes it is busy for a football Sunday but the experience that HE could make a difference in he didn't. We'll start with my drink order. I asked for a simple Arnold Palmer with raspberry flavor. I received a red cup with ice and some liquid concoction that left my stomach feeling gross from the first small sip. He seemed confused by my drink order, here is his opportunity to confirm with me my want or to ask another coworker how to make it if he was unaware. But what he chose to bring back was a drink "with 17 pumps of raspberry", his words not mine. We let him know the drink was unacceptable, he changed his tone and service experience after that. Finally I asked for a water instead and that too took almost 5 mins to bring back to me. We ordered the nachos appetizer and onion rings as a starter as we planned on spending a couple of hours to watch the game. We asked for some extra salsa and sour cream for our nachos. It arrived sloppy and dripping into the other. We have one person who doesn't like salsa but likes sour cream. It ruined that for us. He even dropped the plate quickly on the table without saying excuse me or here you go. We chose to immediately cut our visit short asap. We asked for the check and boxes, he didn't ask one thing. Didn't ask if the food was good or if we needed something after saying we planned on being here a while. Our visit was less than 30 mins. What a major shame.

We got the Chicken Tinga Nachos as an appetizer and it was a perfect amount for the 4 of us. I got a burger and it was pretty delish. We got the s'mores pizookie for dessert and I really enjoyed it. It's baked to order so it takes a little bit but I thought it was worth it. And if that's not your thing, Menchies is right next door and always a treat. Tons of games and such and they even had trivia on the TV. Just a really great neighbourhood spot!

Everything seemed fresh and the presentation was on point as well. The service was good and for a large party, she was polite, friendly and mostly on top of things The bad- and I'm willing to take some of the responsibility on this one. We had a party and booked it for outside, as we were told they have misters and it's in the shade and very doable. Part of that was correct- their misters weren't working. There was no real attempt to move us inside, other than splitting up a birthday party across the restaurant. The main issue is that no one told us- I had to go inside and ask why they aren't on. Not a great look, but I'll be back to try them again.
