Our oldest son got the shrimp and chips and our two younger boys split the kids chicken tenders and fries. The portions were so generous they couldn't even finish everything. The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like regulars even though it was our very first visit. That's something you usually won't find here in Phoenix and their version was fantastic. Really tangy and lemony. The traditional hot wing sauce was also notable Because so many people get it wrong. You have to have that right Balance of Vinegar, which they definitely have. Wings are decent sized and the price is actually pretty on point. I also ordered the JC burger and two of their hot Dogs. While they weren't Sonoran style, hot Dogs, the owner referred to them as Homestyle Mexican Hot Dogs, they were still really good, and as you can see from the pictures, full of fresh ingredients. I do prefer the Sonoran style though, so I would love to see them add that to the menu. The burger was decent, but I didn't find the Patty to be that substantial. Again, the toppings and the avocado were really fresh, so no complaints there. They give you complementary crunchy tortilla chips and 4 different salsas ranging from mild to pretty hot upon arrival and all were good. We tried a variety of things, highlighted by a mouth watering sizzling fajita plate of steak, chicken, bacon wrapped shrimp, and grilled veggies that can feed 4 people. It also came with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, and queso sauce. I ate leftovers from this for 3 days after and it was still just as good as in the restaurant. We also got birria tacos, carne asada tacos, and shrimp scampi and everyone enjoyed their choices. My only minor complaint is the beverage prices, which weren't on the menu and ended up being around $5 per drink for soda/lemonade and a bit more for horchata. This isn't your typical Mexican dive where you just get cheap tacos and drinks. This is more of a culinarily experience where the food is very authentic and everything used is high quality so you'll pay a premium for that. We ended up spending $168 including tip for a family of 5, which admittedly we probably ordered food for closer to 7-8 cuz we wanted to try a few things. We had a good amount of leftovers. Next time we'll probably share the fajita platter or each get our own dishes so it will be less expensive. I highly recommend checking this place out. I'm not going to guess what was in either sauce but they were both excellent and made the dish. Fries were solid. Downsides, it was about a 30 minute wait, which was clearly communicated. We got there about 5 minutes after open and there was a small line. There's probably strategy to make it go faster--get there at open or 30 to 45 minutes after. Food seemed to come out fast after the initial rush. Also, i would have liked ketchup as an option for the fries.

Ahdana, the owner, clearly took pride in the sauce and offered me a sample. I was gearing up to politely say it's not for me but I actually loved it! I would buy a bottle to have at home if I could. (hint: need this in stores!) I got the shrimp taco and the bulgogi taco. The shrimp taco was my favorite! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of it. The tempura had a great crunch and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. It's definitely on my top tacos list and I'll be popping by whenever I can. I'm already craving it again!
