You may be able to find a lower hourly rate with other moving companies in the city but I was beyond pleased with their hard work and was happy to pay the rate with how quickly they got the job done. I understand the truck broke down, but at some point it should have been considered renting a truck. The crew was 7.5 hours late. They did not even mention the fact upon arrival. The truck they brought already had some furniture in it among other things. The crew was in a hurry except when they decided it was time to chat with each other. They did not treat my things with care (as advertised), they just tossed things around. They took things apart without making sure all the pieces were together. I am still missing some shelves they took out of furniture. Some things were broken. They used tape on painted wooden furniture which took off the paint or left a sticky mess behind. When I gave instructions as to what needed to be taken I repeated myself constantly. They did not seem to understand most of what I stated clearly. They did not communicate with me about most things they were doing, they just did whatever they saw fit. They left a huge mess and a 10' truck load of furniture that I had to pay for to move the next day. Thankfully my handyman helped us move what was left behind. Upon arriving at the new location they were in a hurry to get done. I asked that the furniture be placed in the proper room. That seemed to me an impossible feat. More than 3 times I asked them to move a large cabinet to the spare bedroom. There is no way that I could move it later on my own. Again, they did not communicate well. If I was not in the room they would just put things anywhere. When the truck was empty of my things the one who seemed to be in charge came for payment. They did not arrive until approximately 7:15 pm and finished about 11:15pm. He stated that it took 5 hours. I did not think about it at the time. I was stressed out by the chaos. But is seems to me did not work out that way in math class. I payed over $900 for my life and possessions to become a huge confusing mess. I discovered after they left that the furniture that had come with the truck was left outside the dumpster at the new location. Really unprofessional all around. The youngest one seemed to be the nicest and he did try to understand what I wanted. Too bad they didn't all try.  Overall, I do not think that I got what I paid for. I would like to see some of my money reimbursed. There should be some compensation for the 7.5 hour delay on a moving day that everything was timed around, (cleaning, carpets, etc.) when so much time was lost. The next day was pure hell! If not for the quick work and thinking of my handyman I would still be in a state of confusion. As it is I had to take extra days off work to try and make some sense of the mess. When I called they said they had to review the issue. No one ever got back to me.

The rate was good and they did a…read moredecent job although I asked their movers to mask because we are immune compromised and one of them removed her mask right in our faces while we were paying which I did not appreciate and was dangerous. This time the crew was 45 minutes late because they went to the wrong address during the first part of the move despite me being very clear, repeatedly, where to go. That was very inconvenient and my mom had to wait around in her car outside a storage unit while I kept having to message to ask what was going on and barely got a response. I received the final invoice and paid it immediately with a nice tip anyway. A couple days later I started getting a bunch of emails from the company saying that I hadn't paid. I sent them a screenshot of the $0 invoice balance and the transaction on my credit card. It had the name of the owner and a transaction ID and their ZIP Code. They continued to message me every few days saying we didn't get your payment, you must've sent it to the wrong place, they even sent me another invoice like they expected me to pay again. I kept telling them to check in on their side and that I didn't know what else to do. I provided ample screenshots showing that I paid and they kept blaming me and trying to bill me again. I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company which was painful because I'm disabled and making phone calls hurts me. I didn't know what else to do because this is not a small bill and the company wouldn't stop bothering me. Finally they made a call themselves and immediately sorted it out which they could've done in the first place and then they apologized to me and said yes you did pay right away it was an error on our end. This was a complete waste of time and completely unprofessional. It's not appropriate to harass a customer who paid, who has clear evidence of paying, instead of just doing your due diligence and trying to resolve the issue without making me feel doubted and blamed for days. I can't recommend this company and I'm very angry about the way I was treated. Harassed for something that wasn't my fault at all and that they could've resolved with one quick phone call on their end instead of bothering me when I had just moved and they know I'm disabled. I never spoke to them and yet they keep sending me things trying to get my business. I will never work with any business that lies at the outset. Update: I called the number from the text and they confirmed they were Adam's moving. I confirmed the address in Seattle that was registered with the Department of revenue in Washington state. Checking with the Department of revenue in Washington state there is only one Adams moving registered with the state. I am attaching a screenshot of the text. There are far too many scams out there that try to start off by saying I have reached out to them. It's a way to get your foot in the door and get you to call back. I find it dishonest, and I would never do business with someone who started out a conversation by claiming I asked them to call me. Update 09/24/2026 They have messaged me several times. They claim they called the phone number in the screenshot and it belongs to an Adam's moving company in Texas despite having a 509 area code, which is eastern Washington. I explained to them again that I called the number and confirmed multiple times that they were in Washington State with locations in Seattle and Tacoma. I suggested that if they feel someone is impersonating their company they contact them. I stand by my review based on my personal interactions with the people I spoke to at the number shown in the screen capture. The fact that they're trying to tell me the 509 area code is in Texas makes me feel even more strongly that they are not being honest. Please avoid at all costs, they are AWFUL! Hired them for full-service moving…read more Where do I begin with the issues? 1. They did not listen to instructions. We asked them not to pack the kitchen or bathroom, but they packed them both anyway. This means both time we paid for, and the expense of tons of supplies AND more work post move (since we now had to rewash everything). 2. They were wasteful so they could upcharge for supplies. Found a number of empty boxes. They used a wardrobe box to move a bunch of bubble wrap - nothing else inside. They emptied the contents a plastic bin filled with clothes into another box and then wrapped the empty bin in plastic - it truly made no sense. Found 5 barely used rolls of tape in one room after they left as an example...clearly just trying to charge for supplies. 3. Some flat out dangerous packing - they packed a bleach cleaning spray (didn't even move the nozzle to "off" in a box with cosmetics...could have ruined the items or gotten bleach on items that go on my face. (And again, I asked them not to touch my bathroom in the first place). 3. When signing the paperwork, they skipped over the part that asked for reimbursement coverage. I caught this and asked them to go back and give me pricing so I could decide what made the most sense. They asked me to sign and would follow up with pricing and then no one followed up. 4. I still haven't located a suitcase from the move (guessing it got left in the truck) and also had broken items (including a chip in my $10k dresser). They didn't reassemble a bed properly and then hid the pieces under the bed which means there's a risk of the bed breaking now and shows they were just cutting corners. 5. And after all of this, they have been non-responsive to my attempts to file a claim. Next steps are to take this to the BBB, try and do a chargeback from my credit card company, and post on social media so hopefully no one else falls for these scammers.

After my things were taken and moved to their storage facility, I attempted to call in to get an update on when my things would be picked up and the process and that's where the communication started to drop. I called in several times and conveniently the person I was requesting to talk to was never available. I never received calls back from the person who I was requesting to speak with. I would only receive updates every couple of days and my delivery date was delayed. I was contacted by a delivery person a day before my delivery date in KY. He did arrive on the date he said he'd be there however it was extremely unprofessional. He originally arrived by himself and said he was waiting on a mover to show up. I later found out he hired a random guy off of Craigslist to help him move my belongings in my house. He charged me extra money because we "had stairs." They did not lay out anything to cover my carpets which were dirty after they were done. There were several marks and scuffs on my walls from them banging furniture carelessly. Because they were not experienced movers, they almost dropped an expensive piece of furniture while carrying it upstairs. Instead of completely dropping it, they dropped it into the wall creating a large divot. I was so anxious that they might continue to damage furniture, my fiancé and I helped them carry furniture. They were not fit to do this job and did not come with the correct amount of people to move my items. There were several pieces of my furniture that were damaged (not sure if it were due to them or during the move). I did appreciate that they put an AirTag in one of my boxes and nothing was missing!
