My boyfriend, friends, and I came because we wanted to experience their igloos. The igloos are heated and provide a beautiful ambiance by the water. The service was great and very prompt. Also we all enjoyed our food and the specials. This is definitely a must try on Long Island!

My friends and I were looking to have dinner in an igloo somewhere nearby, so we were excited when we found this spot with igloos available! It was such a cold night, but the igloo had a heater so we were able to stay warm. We went right before Christmas, so they also had fun holiday themed drinks. I don't remember the names of what we got, but I had some type of cranberry martini with pomegranates at the bottom, which was so refreshing. We ordered food off the fixed menu because it all looked so good. I obviously had to get the French onion soup because of the weather, but I also ordered the steak and then the brownie with ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service was amazing! Our waitress and the owner kept coming in to check up on us and make sure the temperate was right. I'm honestly shocked their yelp reviews are so low because I thought this restaurant was great, and we all had a nice time here. Would definitely recommend getting an igloo during the winter if available!

Came here for dinner Friday with family. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated pretty quickly outside which was nice. We ordered calamari, wings & baked clams to start. The wings were good. The calamari was ok and the clams were a little watery. For dinner I had a lobster roll, It was really good and not too much mayo. The service was extremely slow, I'm talking 20 minutes to get a soda slow. Don't know if I'd come back, it's pricey but I guess because it's on the water.

Intimate relaxed vibe with a partial water view! FOOD: 2 out of 5 stars We've gone here during the winter time and now summer. Stick with the seafood chowder and seafood pasta. Other than that, everything I've had has been just okay but not worth the price point at all. They'll a new chef to justify their price point. This time we ordered the lobster roll and short ribs featured as a special. To e quality/taste/price is just not worth it. Stick with the drinks and that's it. LOCATION: 4 stars Very easy to find, it's in the suburbs, I can see this being a "locals" choice. Parking lot is a bit small so you'll have to park in front of someone's house. SERVICE: 5 stars Service was quick, polite, no complaints at all. AMBIANCE: 5 stars This was someone's house many years ago and is now a restaurant. The decor although commercial still has that homey charm. If seating inside, your view is a cozy fireplace but outside is along the water. It's very quiet and intimate vibe. The music was just the right volume so you can actually have a conversation. WAITLIST: 5 stars No wait at all, even at the peak dinner time it was only 30 minutes of a wait.

This was my first time at Smuggler Jack's and it won't be my last. Although it's a bit on the pricey side ($16 to add 4 shrimp to a salad) the food was delicious. Even better than the food was the view and ambience....felt like I was dockside by the beach somewhere rather than on the canal in Massapequa.

This restaurant was wonderful from the start , I made reservations about 5 days ahead because we were a party of 8 and they were super accommodating. When we arrived they had 2 tables Available inside and out but due to the rain that would start we sat inside . We started with 2 plates of calamari and 2 plates of the wings they were amazing. And for dinner we had multiple items , steaks , fish and chips , lobster , braised brisket it was all delicious. The place was very nice , wood paneling, very water edge location, beautiful view of the water . We were very happy . The price was very good over all for the amount of people and they have a big parking lot so parking isn't an issue at all . Would return and recommend 10 out 10 location.

We came here recently for the LI Restaurant Week. We heard of this restaurant from my aunt who had dined here once before for a previous LI Restaurant Week. We were a little worried after reading previous Yelp reviews, but overall we had a pretty decent experience. The restaurant itself is small, so on a busy night I can see there being a wait if you don't make a reservation. There is a small lot attached to the restaurant, but if there isn't any parking left, there is plenty of street parking around. It started a bit rough. We had a 7pm reservation and we got there on time. When we first walked in it was a bit surprising not to see a host there to greet us. We saw a lot of the servers in the main dining hall. It took some time before one of the busboys asked if we were waiting for a table. He got a server who told us that it will be a little wait for our table. About thirty minutes later we finally got our table. It was a Friday night, so we weren't sure if they were just short of staff for some odd reason on a busy night. All of us ordered the pre-fixe menu which had a good amount of options. My aunt recommended the seafood chowder. We got that and it didn't disappoint. It was very chunky and generous amount of clams, crab, shrimp, carrots, potatoes, celery and bacon. The bacon gave a nice salty and richness to the chowder. It's also served with a pack of oyster crackers, but it wasn't needed. For the entree I got the cold lobster roll served with a side of fries and a pickle spear. There was a good amount of lobster to bun ratio. It was served classically on a butter roll and seasoned with old bay seasoning and mayo. It was a very good lobster roll, but hard to compare to the ones in Maine that I love. The fries were crisped to a perfect crispy texture. For dessert I got the lemon sorbet which is a good palate cleanser and light note to finished the meal. Service was better once we were seated from our dinner. There were two guys that regularly checked in on us throughout the service. They were nice to apologize for the long wait and thank us for our cooperation. We would consider returning again, but hopefully the front of service will be better. One note to consider for payment. They do have a different price if you choose to pay by cash or card. The cash option is slightly cheaper.

How grateful I was to found this restaurant at the last minute of having my daughters baby shower I have to say I couldn't ask for a better place like this restaurant Branden and the staff was amazing. I felt like if there was part of my family the bakery in Seaford don't have the name right now. I couldn't ask for better Bakery. This was my cake, carrot cake amazing. My guess was so happy. The food was delicious, clean plate of all my guess I have to say thank you so much smuggler Jack will definitely will have more parties

Do they have umbrellas for the tables outside?

They did not have umbrellas outside, no.

Is this a decent first date place?

Yes. Especially if you like the water. In the warmer weather you can sit outside. Food is good also.

Good afternoon,…read more Well, finally got back to a wonderful seafood restaurant. This past week was restaurant week and the place was jumping. As always, we are never disappointed with the service or the food. This restaurant has truly found the magic that makes this business hop. I suggest downloading his app and giving it a try. Better than any restaurant in Freeport. Always fresh products and new features.

They have a lunch and dinner menu, with lots of selections! We wanted to dine family-style, so 3 of us shared 3 items from their lunch & dinner menus, and 2 desserts: -- Complimentary Garlic Bread: Fantastic!! We asked for extra so we could have it with our mussels pot. -- Mussels Pot with white wine, garlic & oil (dinner menu/$23)...Incredible!! So flavorful! Especially with their garlic bread for dipping! This was our favorite dish, and the perfect portion for 3 ppl to share. Get this! -- Pompei Special: a variety of seafood over linguini w.butter garlic sauce (lunch special/ $24): this was good but slightly bland. It would have been better with the white wine garlic & oil sauce from the mussels pot. But the seafood was fresh and plentiful. -- Stuffed Flounder w.lump crab meat and veg (lunch special/$19): very good. This was a lunch portion, so not ideal for sharing but a great meal for one person. -- Spumoni Truffle Ice Cream ($11): this came cut in 4 pieces, and was easy to share. Delicious and very satisfying! -- Tiramisu ($12): this was good but ordinary. I would try something else next time. This was a great meal. We wanted to have soft shell crab but it was still a little early in the season, so we'll have to come back next month to have some! Customer service was welcoming and friendly. There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant. It wasn't a problem during lunch but I can see it being more difficult during dinner and weekends.

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

Compared to the farmingdale location the ambiance of this one is giving forgotten step sister aside from the back table(pictured on the website)they did up very nicely. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very sweet and managed a basically full bar attending to every guest with care. We ordered the Italian nachos which we loved and the Picasso. The nachos had a generous amount of crumbled sausage cheese and bruschetta as well as some spicy peppers. We really enjoyed the nachos. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. For cocktails we got the strawberry lemon drop, it tasted a little medicinal and the cucumber lime spritz type drink(I can't recall the exact name). This one was very good. An overall very mixed experience but I want to give it another shot even if only for the nachos
