Terrible experience at a Smoothie restaurant. Ordered 2 drinks on app. Arrived at promised time. Saw one (#2 of 2), so I went to the register. Other customers were there but I was the only one at the register and I was Ignored for 10 minutes. I walked back to the online orders to check and confirmed it still wasn't there. Someone came in and was seen IMMEDIATELY. I asked and got "it's probably in line." I was the one of TWO people there when he said this! When it was finally made, no "Sorry for the wait." No handing it to me. They just put it in the box right in front of me. What's the point of promised time? Drinks were made 10+ minutes apart, so one will be melted by the time I give it to my spouse. Why use the app? It led to a longer wait between drinks. What about simple customer service. "Can I help you?" "One minute please." "What was the name." "Sorry for the delay." "Here is your drink." None of the staff greeted us, we had to pace back and forth for to get their attention, one came out of the back, chewing food, and began taking an order. They were unpleasant with one another, they messed up one ingredient in my order (which while on a competition prep is a big deal) & it's the only blend I ever order , and the manager gave us a sarcastic "have a nice night" after I let them know my order was wrong. They almost caused me to have an allergic reaction last week. I ordered a smoothie that had almond milk as a base and asked for a substitute of coconut milk. The cashier said "no problem" but when I turned around and saw her making my smoothie she was dumping in almond milk. I told her that I am severely allergic to almonds which is why I asked for coconut milk and she rolled her eyes, dumped out the smoothie, and told me that she did it because she knew it wouldn't taste as good with coconut milk. I love smoothie King. This is my favorite smoothie shop but when I attempted to purchase a smoothie this past Veterans Day, I left disappointed and empty-handed. I could see the female associate in the shop as I attempted to open the locked door. The shop closes at 9 PM and I arrived at 8:47 PM. There were no special hours of operation posted on the door on this day so I don't understand why the shop was closed 13 minutes prior to the normal closing time. read more

First and for most, when I walked into smoothie king I was greeted with excitement, and im glad they had because I was feelings down earlier I went to the front counter and charlotte had greeted me kindly and was giving me recommendations on what was good to her liking, I usually get the angel food but she convinced me to get out my comfort zone, I told her what fruits I liked so she picked out that I should get a muscle punch, which id kind of like an angel food with a little extra. I paid the smoothie as well as I got the dollar off coupon if I did the survey which was a bonus. like forty-five seconds went by and I got my smoothie. But my overall satisfaction with how clean the store was, how friendly the staff was and how the manager Brooklyn staffed her store, I will surely to be back next time. My husband & daughter went in on 5/3 (my daughter's birthday, coincidentally), and asked Brandon (who later identified himself as the Assistant Manager) if they had a pineapple mango smoothie. Brandon replied with a smirk, "you gotta do your part, man. It's right there [on the menu], 'Greek Pineapple Yogurt Smoothie'." My husband just apologized and ordered but when they got back out to the car and my daughter told me what happened, I went back in and brought her with me to show her that is NOT acceptable customer service and how she should handle it if she experiences that again. When I explained to Brandon that I was shocked by his response and customer service, he shrugged and said "my bad" and identified himself as the Assistant Manager. He gave me the Ge. This past Friday , was my first time ever going to smoothie king. I saw the $5 Friday sign. I came in clueless of the menu. I didn't know what I was even looking for haha but the cashier who's name was TOBY I believe you was super friendly, very patient and helpful. He didn't miss a beat. There's lots of people saying how rude the employees at this location are. *Disclaimer long but characterizes the franchisee to the fullest. * "Working under the direction of Smoothie King location #1289's franchisee has been a difficult experience for me to put into words. Although he has treated me with nothing but the utmost respect, I have heard of and personally witnessed countless occasions in which the franchisee has mistreated my former manager and my fellow coworkers. The franchisee's maltreatment of personnel ranged from verbal and emotional abuse (calling the manager a dumb bitch, cursing out over the phone and in person within earshot of customers), throwing objects at employees, knocking items off of counters, blatant breaches between the pay structure of the manager-franchisee contract, withholding wages from employees by moving pay periods to avoid awarding overtime pay for workers, deducting funds from the manager's paychecks for unacceptable reasons, forcing the manager to engage in store maintenance without any outside assistance, and many more crimes that would result in criminal indictment by the Texas Workforce Commission. After attempting to speak with the franchisee regarding his poor treatment of the former manager and to hold him accountable for his attitude, he insisted that I was correct in my assertions that mistreatment was occurring and that he would treat her better from then on. Days later, the conversation proved to have no lasting impact on the franchisee as she continued to suffer harassment from him. Above that, he has committed acts of sexism and misogyny by offering raises to male workers with notably lower performance and poor work ethic instead of female employees superior in both the former and latter along with having more work experience as well. The franchisee also exhibits bouts of misogyny as he expresses much more leniency for mistakes the men would make in the workplace compared to females, who receive markedly more stern and almost violent reprisals. On more than one occasion I have showed up at ~ 9:00pm and this Smoothie King was closed. However, the hours on the windows state that doors are to remain open until 10:00pm. I stood and stared through the glass doors at the employees the second time because, quite frankly, I was irked. The employees wouldn't look me in the eye or suggest some sort of reason for closing early, showing that they were clearly in the wrong. The staff (who may be new or better trained) greeted their guests genuinely and went out of their way to hand-deliver my smoothie to me as I was on the phone outside instead of just letting it sit at the counter until I came back in. My boyfriend and I came into smoothie king this morning for breakfast & Brandon M. at the front counter was just awful! First off, we walked up to the counter to order and my boyfriend hadn't decided what he wanted yet, but I knew so I went ahead and told Brandon what I wanted & he just had the biggest attitude the entire time. he asked me what name it was under & I tried to tell him "Matt" but he cut me off 1/2 through saying "HUH" and gave me a dirty look, I thought it was odd but I just ignored it, but then my bf went to order & let him know that we were on the same order- and His response was "yea I just needed to know the name on the order, that doesn't mean that shes gonna have to pay so it's just gonna be $14.92." I was speechless at how rude he was to us. The whole time after we ordered we were suspicious of him messing up our drinks so I watched him make them, and the whole time he was arguing with his coworkers over something really loud, he was clearly annoyed and unhappy with his job. He angrily put everything into the cups & just walked away once they were put under the thing to blend and started taking another order. So we sat and waited 5 mins before the coworker he was arguing with came back out and had to finish putting it in the cup and give it to us.
