After we accumulated a free one from buying 10 of the sub par, over priced, shaved ice, they would not allow us to redeem our punch card. Granted they went to the app January of this year, but we don't get out that much, and you'd think they would have still honored the reward. We went inside and ordered. We waited a solid 20 minutes only to have them ask what we ordered again because somehow it didn't get communicated. They still got one of the four flavors wrong and forgot the umbrella on another. The kids were thrilled and happy but the other two lacked flavor. I don't know if I will go back. read more

The next time I waited for literally 45 minutes for us to pull up to the window and get the wrong order. They did fortunately give us mostly the correct order when we asked. I am a die hard bahama bucks fam, but the Waco location is the worst bahama bucks I have ever been to. I feel bad because they are so understaffed, but it seems like the establishment itself is falling apart. Smells bad, looks gross, ice wasn't even soft like very other location I have ever been to. Every time I've been the drive thru line was either 10 cars long with an hour wait or the snow cone isn't even remotely what you asked for. I ordered a bahama Rama mama , but they were out of ice cream, so I ordered my sno with just tropic cream.. they forgot to put it on there and when u asked them to, the employee said "I mean, do you want it?" Yes! I paid for it! He poured tropic cream on it, the stuff got everywhere, and he just threw my small snow cone into a large cup. I laughed out because this is comical for me. One star for the delicious snow cone, very soft with lots of syrup. Super slow service though, it took 50 minutes to get one snow cone with 2 different flavor syrups. Drive through only and there was no sign showing that the doors were locked and that there was no inside service. When we got to the window, the girl was very blasé with little to no greeting or acknowledgement of the almost hour long wait. Workers were chit chatting inside sipping their own drinks while slowly making one drink at a time. I've been to the bahama bucks in temple, newley opened. it takes half the time as this one does, and the line in temple is twice as long. I waited 45 minutes and 3 cars were in-front of me. Another thing I always get cucumber piccadilly. And this one just tasted off. Ice was crunchy. The people working in there were making disgusted faces. AND THEY DIDNT GET ME AN UMBRELLA! One more thing, my friend got a birthday cake, it was drowned it in syrup, there was more syrup than ice. This was no "Mini vacation" I do not recommend this place. Never coming again. read more

I'm a lover of shave ice. Pretty obsessed, really. When my sister told me that there was a place nearby that sells it, I knew I had to visit! Okay, im going to get the cons out first because it didn't sit right with me. One of the (few) things that really threw me off was the smell of the place. I understand with their huge selection of syrups, smells can mix. However, this smelled like dirty mop or something along that line. I also stumbled across a dead cricket just chillin on one of the tables. My sister purchased 5 of those shave ice. We sat down and waited. While looking around, I saw that the place offers punch/stamp cards. I asked if she had one and when she said no, I told her I'd go get one for her. I took the receipt up (to show proof that stuff was purchased) and whoever the girl was talkin to over the headset must've tried to tell her not to because the girl replied with, "she was the woman from earlier" She then proceeded to tell me that it's good that I brought he receipt because they only give out stamps the same day of purchase. First off, it would not even have been an issue if it was presented to my sister after she purchased 5 cups. Second, WE DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE STORE yet I was given the "it's a good thing you-" it's not MY job. This shows that they don't pay attention to their customers. So, on the good side. There was a lot of parking. There were over 20 flavors to choose from and they serve smoothies and other refreshing beverages. The sugar free syrups suck. This place was good! My girlfriend and I shared a small sour watermelon with cream. It was a little too sugary for my liking, but I'm sure it's a fantastic trip for the summer. The best shaved ice I've ever had! The snow is soft and practically melts in your mouth! I had a strawberry daiquiri bahama mama and it was delicious. They put ice cream in the bottom of it and some sort of delicious cream on top of the snow cone, well worth my dollar extra! Fun building. had some random xgames video playing but no sound. Outside patio is nice except when it's extra hot or the Waco bird plague hits. My only complaint is that, occasionally, if you come in right before close the staff can be kinda grumpy. But I can generally understand why as the few times that has happened I've come in about 15 minutes before close and people sometimes just have bad days. The times I've come during earlier times the staff has been awesome and often times really fun! All in all, great place! I do prefer the snow cones to the smoothies though! read more

We love Bahama Buck's! We've been coming to Waco to visit family for years and the last few times we've been to Bahama Buck's. We are used to shaved ice from our hometown but this is waaaaaaaaaaay better. The ice is so finely shaved that it tastes smooth and creamy and it just melts in your mouth instantly. So many flavors to choose from, friendly staff, and quick service. Bahama Buck's is a MUST on each visit to Waco. I would definitely recommend it to ANYONE traveling through the area. read more

I imagine that it's hard to find people right now so I give this place all the grace I can...this is one of my few pregnancy cravings and their snow cones are the best. Most of the ones in town taste like Splenda so I happily drive the 15 minutes when there's two other places in between. However, don't go if you have somewhere to be. If there's a car or two in between you and your order, it might be 5-10 minutes. If there's a handful, more like 20-30. More than 5 and you'll wait well over 30 minutes!!! I think it would be worth raising prices here to get the right amount of people here. read more

Absolutely love this place! Best snow cones/shaved ice on the planet! So many flavors, options for cream, and are made perfect! They make sure flavoring is put in all through the snow- not just poured on top. Service is always fast, friendly and make the experience great. I do like the shaved ice and when we've been in the area shopping we've stopped here two or three times. It is not as clean as I would hope places would be. That is my first biggest deterient of going there more often. The customer service was great the first time. I wish I could remember the lady's name, but she was very attentive and polite. The second time was slow and employees were not really welcoming... it was like they didn't want to be there and were just going through the motions. Third time, some awkward relationship triangle between the cashier and the guy who came in behind us. She kept whispering we can't be seen here together... apparently she was so caught off guard by his presence she messed up our order. We stood waiting for four cups when she had only put us down for 3 cups (but we didn't know this ... until after 20-30 minutes of us standing (only ones in line - besides the guy) There were three or four workers that night. Just not a real cohesive bunch. I wouldn't really recommend this location unless you are a diehard fan of Bahama Buck's and are willing to wait OR do not care your order is hit or miss and have to recommunicate it. read more
