Coffee used for cold brew is quite sour, so if you like a sour coffee you will like this. Sour coffee isn't my preference so it was a miss for me. As for service, I asked for oat milk in my cold brew, but when they call me up there wasn't any in the drink. I asked them about that, and they added the smallest splash. After a few sips I went to the counter to ask for some extra in a small cup to add to the drink, and the batista said she would have to charge me! I reminded her they initially messed up the order and she begrudgingly agreed and gave me some extra. Ultimately, I got what I needed but I didn't appreciate being potentially charged for a couple of tablespoons of something I had already paid for. On a separate note, the ceiling is dusty, and the AC intake is positively caked in dust! Makes me wonder what other maintenance issues there might be that aren't visible

I was intrigued by their Huey Lewis drink, so I decided to give it a try. Much like an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half sweet tea) this drink was half lemonade, half coffee. I liked it! First off, I've read some critical reviews of the donuts and I have to say that if you're looking…read morefor a yeasty Homer Simpson style donut, this isn't the place to get that. The donuts here are croissant donuts so their texture is that of a croissant. Now that I got that out of the way-- Their donuts are flaky, soooft in the center, and full of flavor. These are best eaten warm! If you do take out, pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds or so and they taste just as good as they do in the shop. Our favorites: The Glazed Donut, the Cinnamon Sugar, the Chocolate Iced. My favorite seasonal donuts are the Key Lime, Raspberry Lemon, and Maple Bacon. Tip: their donut holes are huge and sold by the piece. You can order one of each flavor or all of the same. A good move if you're wanting something smaller or you want to try more than one. They have flaky, delicious kolaches made with meat from local barbecue joint Guess BBQ. Our favorite is the Turkey and Colby Jack. They serve Intelligentsia coffee. Not sure what blend it is but it is perfect with their donuts. Their branding is on point. Fun colors and design on everything. Inside is clean and it's been pretty quiet whenever we've been there. A good place to bring your books and study for a bit.

We're huge fans of Moroso that is right next door in the same complex so we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they are owned by the same owners of Moroso. My cortado was one of the better ones I've had. Smooth (not the least bit bitter), and has a wonderful crema on top. My husband ordered the "Intenso." Pretty much a "drip coffee." He said it was yummy-- had a nice smoky flavor and a good mouth feel. We also ordered a blueberry muffin. So good and unique. It reminded me of an angel food cake with blueberries. Delish. The woman who took our order was friendly and enthusiastic. Aesthetic is nice and cozy. Four two-tops, bar-seating at the window, and four armchairs. Was quiet enough to work and e Joy a book, but also active with several patrons, a couple of which already seemed like regulars. Can't wait to return and try more yummy drinks on the menu.

Some of their speciality lattes (like the Remember Me one fall) have been so delicious that I've braved the trek downtown, searching for a parking spot in the middle of my workday, just to get one as an afternoon pick-me-up. I also love the 1885 drink, which is Dr Pepper + espresso. It sounds crazy, but a Waco girl loves it. I will say, ever since the inside was re-painted as a weird, tentacle-esque, purple and orange mural, the ambiance has tanked. It used to feel like a peaceful, vibey spot, especially at night or during the holidays. Now the walls make my skin crawl a bit. Maybe some people love it--I usually hear the opposite But it's still worth going for the drinks!
