My husband and I were in town visiting family and I wanted to grab a boba drink. I went on Yelp and found this place, the reviews didn't look too bad and it was on the way home. When we pulled into the parking lot it was small and the shop looked empty/closed. The shop itself is very cute, they have seating areas that are well decorated. The menu has a good selection of milk teas, smoothies, and slushies. I ordered a large Strawberry Milk Tea with boba and my husband got a Vietnamese Coffee. There were only 2 people working so service was really slow, it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. This was all during the COVID-19 so I understand they're taking precautions by having fewer workers. The Strawberry Milk Tea was pretty good, I really enjoyed my drink. The boba had a nice chewy texture. The sugar level was a little sweeter than I would have liked, but it was ok. My husband's Vietnamese Coffee had more ice than coffee (see pictures) so I took 1 star off for that. Overall, it's a cute boba shop that has IG worthy decorations, the drinks are pretty good depending on what you order. Ice level is definitely a problem that needs attention. Will I come back? Probably the last time I'm ordering from them. As a nurse and a pregnant woman, I'm very conscious about all my intakes. They definitely lack consistency. I used to come here a lot so I've had a pretty good idea of what is the best ratio for me to order and I've always noticed that some days a "50% sweet " will taste sweeter or less sweet on other days depending on who makes it... the lack of consistency makes it difficult to know what to order. Today I was craving some boba and asked for 75% sweet and light iced - it came out and tasted like a 25% sweet. I already knew I wanted an exchange immediately. I felt ripped off it's not what I paid for at all and it's definitely a total waste. So I went to ask for an exchange and was pretty specific with the issue which she then let me try a "100%" it tasted alright so i said I guess today the person making drinks is on the less sweet side so their 100% tasted like a 75% today... so finally the lady comes out with the replacement drink and I guess they didn't wanna deal with me complaining it's not the right level and probably overdosed it with syrup or sugar in hopes I turn diabetic I guess but now the drink is literally too sweet it's disgusting. I didn't wanna complain anymore because goodness who knows what they might do at this point . Straight up just disappointed at this place. Honestly I don't know why staying consistent in their drinks is so hard for them- but yeah basically if you want to waste your money OR become diabetic this is your go to place. I'm really happy with this place! They seem to have taken previous suggestions and complaints to heart, and have added customization and excellent service to an already cute and convenient tea shop. I got a mango smoothie with boba pearls, and when I asked I was told I can add pearls to any drink, and the staff member showed me over 15 different add ins I could use to customize my drink (crystal boba, other flavors of boba, etc.). He also offered to let me taste the different milk teas, and told me they will soon have their kitchen up and running! My boyfriend and I have been going to this boba tea place for years now and can honestly say it never disappoints. The best boba in Waco, and honestly competes with big time boba places in Dallas and Austin. If you're looking for a large variety of flavors, toppings, sweetness levels, and different kinds of drinks (milk tea, smoothie, tea, frozen drinks) this is THE PLACE. If you're uncertain what to get or it's your first time trying boba, PLEASE ask to sample things. The employees are super knowledgeable about good combinations and they have a bunch of samples ready for you to try. Another thing I like about 1102 is the ambiance. They always have good music, not too loud, and lots of seating options. Their seats could be a little comfier, but the place is so cute I honestly don't even care. My drink recommendations: 1. Overall the milk tea is less sweet than the first day. Hojicha milk tea - it's good, has a little bitter aftertaste. This is such a cool and unique place. It is obvious from the moment you walk in that they are achieving their "Secret Garden" theme with all the greenery present throughout. There are many different options for seating including bar seating, tables, and cozy areas. The cashier/barista was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got the Vietnamese milk coffee because he warned me that the Vietnamese black coffee was a bit strong. The milk coffee is a bit too sweet for me so I'll try to black coffee next time. I also look forward to trying the variety of boba tea. While I was seated and enjoying my coffee he was helping customers who were new to the boba tea experience and providing them samples and walking them through the menu.
