great meal replacement and they are tasty!! friendly customer service always a great atmosphere after a good workout

Shame on you smoothie king.. every time I chose to treat myself with a peanut power plus shake, I'm reminded why I made a mistake once again.. Most times I encounter the rudest young immature kids/young adults. Get it together! You have one job.. one job, how hard could it be? Make the darn shakes and smile. #chooselocal read more

Okay I really am in LOVE, but they can get a bit pricey. Like I will never go on a Saturday or Tuesday.... Fridays are the best!! This is a perfect place to get a meal in a cup. If it is packed it can be a long wait though. In my opinion it is worth it! read more

Place is clean and the staff was friendly. Ordered a 20oz Greek yogurt strawberry blueberry. Would of have 5 stars but one of the employees wasn't wearing a mask she had it around her chin while making smoothies. read more

I've been coming here for around 3 months and the drinks are always delicious and if you go on Friday only $5 for the 32oz size. I have done the drive thru and inside counter and I think the counter is twice as fast since you dont need to wait the extra time for cars in front of you. I timed them the last time and the inside counter was 5-1/2 min for two drinks from receiving the reciept to holding the drink, not too bad, and it was a busy friday. read more

The worst customer service at this location... It was drive-through only and you could not go inside. The wait was very long. apparently scanner is broke so they can't scan for any rewards. When I gave the phone number that is exactly on my app they said they couldn't use that or my reward. . Very disappointing with the level of service at this location. read more

I don't think this has been open long, maybe a couple months? Running errands, I decided to hit the drive-thru for a quick treat. There was nothing quick about this visit. It looked like they had a good variety of smoothies to suit anyone's needs, lots of lower-sugar, vegan, protein and vitamin boosters. It would be great for those who like to get smoothies post-workout. But the staff needs some training. It was not busy on Sunday afternoon when I pulled through. I had to repeat my order a couple of times. I also asked for my smoothie to be made "skinny," and I don't think the guy understood me and kept telling me to hold on. I'm pretty sure I got the non-skinny version. Whatever. Also, 20 oz. is a decently sized smoothie, and that is the smallest size they have. There was one car ahead of me in the drive-thru, and I have no idea what they ordered or if they even got it. I saw an employee talking to them but never handed any drinks to the people. It seemed like there was a problem. A very young kid apologized for the wait and took my payment ($6+ for a small fruit-based smoothie with no protein or any boosters). And a minute or so after he took my payment, I see him making my smoothie. What are the staff doing? I was probably in the drive-thru for more than 10 minutes. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. read more

The smoothies are good but make sure you have time to wait at least 20 min or more even if there's no line. I'm not sure how much it takes to just put some things in a blender but apparently it's not quick. Came here before my shift at the hospital with enough time and they still managed to make me late. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. read more

Only go if you want to be belittled. Insane! Cannot believe that as a loyal customer and someone that is so polite to the staff that I would get told off bc they didn't receive my order on THEIR APP! Then they wanted me to pay twice for the same smoothie. Told me what a POS I was in front of my 7 year old. And the only reason I was there was bc my kid had surgery and asked for it!!! Then called the district manager that answered "hello" and then argued with me and hung up on me. WHAT???!!!! Why are they so angry any loyal customers???? Someone would have to hold a gun to my heals to ever give these people money ever again. read more

I really wanted to give this place a chance. If there is a car in drive thru before you, expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes. Today there was no one in drive thru and I didn't even get a full 20oz smoothie(see photo). Cup was all bent too. Workers just don't seem like they want to be there or know what's going on (at least in drive thru)know I usually have to repeat my order multiple times. Only thing theye got going is the unique extensive menu of healthy options. Kinda pricey though. I won't be back most likely. read more

Smoothie King - Was wondering why my cup felt light. Thanks for the partial smoothie? - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Staff is always very friendly and smoothies are consistently good! The peanut power plus with strawberry is my absolute favorite!

The service here sucks. Every single employee is rude & lifeless like they don't know what customer service is. They never say high, they're always mono toned, they never thank you or tell you to have a good day. They have this amazing app that lets you collect points to save money on the smoothies which are expensive but THEY NEVER AS IF YOU HAVE THE APP!!!!! Then when you ask them to scan your phone they deny you and tell you they have to do it before you pay. BUT THEY N E V E R A S K!!!!!! There are multiple reviews that agree on how subpar the service is here. I truly hope the owner or manager reads these reviews and makes some changes . Because next time I go In and one of them cops an attitude I'll just tell the whole store how I feel. read more

Ordered 3 smoothies. In the store not drive thru and it took an hour and they still got my order wrong. Never coming back again. I hope they do better read more

Thanks to Violet and Janelle at Smoothie King store on Riverrd. The smoothies Violet makes are extra delicious and they are all about customers experience, being happy and satisfied. Thank you all so much for helping me so much on my fitness goals!! I appreciate you 100%. Best smoothies in Tucson!!! read more

I looooooove smoothie king but my god this one has HORRIBLE customer service. I've been coming here once a week since it opened and not ONCE have I had a positive experience. I've never been in and out of the drive through in less than 10 minutes, even being the only car. I've never been smiled at, never felt welcomed, never told more than two words. It's an awful feeling. I've worked in food before and know how it is, but jeez. Is it that hard to fake a smile?? the employees here make me not want to even come at all. read more

I love their smoothies when they are right but their customer service is horrible! No smiles, no personality, it's sad. They act like it's a burden to work there. I don't like bananas in my smoothies and somehow it always ends up in my drink and it has to be remade. They remake it but the time it takes is ridiculous. My latest with them was that I sent one of my co-workers Debbie, to get drinks for the office and of course they added banana to mine. Even after it was made wrong the first time and they had to remake it. Unfortunately the second mistake wasn't caught until it was in my hands at the office. So back Debbie went after I called and spoke with the manager asking to have one remade and waiting for her when she arrived. It was like speaking to a drone. He was monotone and did not apologize, just said it would be ready. Our office is not close to their location and did they offer to make it right? No. I was hoping they would offer a free drink in the future so that I could give it to Debbie for her troubles and time. Some might think going to Eegee's is the answer but really I think some employee training is the better response. read more

I ordered a veggie smoothie, and it has a strong drug syrup taste to it. It's super sweet. I asked if they added sugar, they said not at all. I asked for a remake without the banana, cause I suspect the banana makes it sweet. They are very nice to remake one for me. However, it's still way too sweet and it's surely not from nature fruit. Later I think it must be the pineapple juice (frozen) used in the ingredient which must contain a lot of added sugar. The employee should be educated to know what is in the ingredients. I felt cheated. read more

I'm disgusted on the "clean" lids they use to mix our drinks, these are moldy and absolutely disgusting. read more

Smoothie King - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I'm a big fan of this business, especially this location. I've really enjoyed your products and Sebastian and coworkers were great. Lately there seems to be a whittling away of service and specials. Tonight the doois were locked a the person on the other end was glib and matter of fact. "We don't have that anymore". 2 for 1 specials. Not something that's going to make me getting my car and drive down there. As I said previously my experiences were much different notv that long ago... During COVID! read more

Typically every time me and my family go to Smoothie King it's amazing and the workers are very nice but this evening when we wanted to grab a smoothie it sucked because it was already closed, lights off and workers gone. Mind you they close at 9pm, and it was barely 8:40pm, I wasn't the only car that was in line for a smoothie so it sucked to see that it was closed :( read more

Does not accept anything over $20 cash. Woman behind counter was rude about that fact. Have been here before with credit, but had forgotten wallet at home, had cash in the glove box. Will never spend a dime here again! read more

I usually always come to this location and the service is usually awesome but the person who took my order and gave me my smoothies were just straight up RUDE. Extremely unprofessional and made me feel very unwelcome. Jamie, Khalistan was her name. When she took my order she didn't seem happy at all or even smiled just attitude all around and when she gave me my smoothie I put my hand out for the straws and she threw them on the counter, again with attitude instead of handing them to me. If you don't like to work with people and don't know how to have good customer service then DONT WORK IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Great store! Friendly staff. Always open according to their posted schedule. The smoothies are delicious. The absolute BEST GO TO PLACE FOR HEALTHY SMOOTHIES. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the wait time, I have no problem waiting for a GOOD smoothie. Went here my first time and was extremely impressed by the menu. I'm vegan and very strict about what goes into my body. They had me sold, loved the smoothie and decided to go back. Except this time I went inside. There is NOTHING all natural about this place. They use goo and syrup and jellies to fill their smoothies. No fresh fruit, no fresh juices, and they have the audacity to say they are all natural. I will never return. Who knows how long those bags of syrups and jelly sit before being used. All processed crap. read more

Terrible customer service. Their card machine was down and they had nobody outside telling people before you were stuck in the line. I have no cash and was just stuck in their line my entire lunch break, and they didn't even offer me a smoothie. I don't even have time to go anywhere else to get anything now! I will not be back here. read more

So I was going to complain about $$$$.... and then I tasted my smoothie! Holy cow! It's amazing!!!!! The staff there were all very nice and I only waited about 4 minutes :). I will be back! Thank you! read more

Trapped in the drive thru FOREVER. And ever. Smoothies tasted good, they better after over 30 minutes. I was so excited too :(

A few bad reviews for Smoothie King regarding service speed and prices. Well here's how I'll put it: Planet Smoothie beats Fruit Shack, and Smoothie King beats Planet. If it's not the fast enough for you, get over yourself, there's a drive thru at least. Best smoothie in town, you don't want a quick or cheap smoothie, you want smoothie king. read more

Not only is Ricky so handsome, he also makes the best chocolate peanut power plus. And he's so nice, the other employees are so welcoming!! I love this smoothie king read more

Went in as 2 employees left at the same time to get Jimmys Pita and Poke, the three left inside didn't greet me or look up from what they were doing(talking) the two girls on staff were working while the boys kept joking around until they finally asked if I was ready to order - I had never been in so I was still looking at the menu. My order printed out and a good 2 full minutes went by as the boy who had my order stood there talking about his lunch and his associates lunches - he finally started my smoothie and walked away. They blender stopped and I was curious how long it would take for someone to notice. Nobody did. I had to get the attention of the woman who took my order. I used to Co manage a smoothie bar and know this is not a difficult job, one that should NOT take 5 individuals. However if these individuals are mostly children then it makes a little more sense. I went in at 2pm ish on Saturday the 8th if the owner would like to watch the video to see how amazing his employees are at having fun at work and eating in the back room food items from another establishment. read more

This place has a terrible long wait, the slowest service ever. Don't bother with this place. Took 20 + minutes for a drink. They need to hire more people. You cannot have 20 people waiting inside, some in drive thru for a drink with 3 people only working inside read more

Smoothie King offers the best smoothies anywhere and no store does a better job at making them than the 3820 W. River Road location in Tucson. The staff is super friendly and they go out of their way to make your experience a memorable one. I like my smoothies really icy, which requires a lot of extra work. They always make them for me with a smile. That's why I keep coming back. Special shout outs to Mason, Sebastian, Adria and Ricky! read more

I used to LOVE smoothie king! Not anymore. The last three times I've been to this location, my smoothie wasn't blended properly. Who likes chunks of powder? Not me! It's expensive and not worth it. Won't be back. read more

This place is the WORST. I repeated my order twice at the intercom, waited 25 minutes in the drive through, then repeated my order twice at the window and finally had to leave without my drinks because they put be so far behind schedule. THEN, I called the store and asked for a manger to call me back only to be told by the woman that answered that I gave her my number too fast and HUNG UP ON ME. She literally said, "Um sir, you gave me your number too fast okaaaayyyy bbbyyyyeeeee." Do NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. It should be called Smoothie Court Jester. Certainly NOT Smoothie King. NO JOKE. read more

I've been waiting for a long time for this place to open and I was very excited. I usually don't write reviews until I've been there multiple times. The first time I went in, no one could figure out how to use the register and didn't know how to accept my card so I couldn't order anything. Even the manager couldn't figure it out. I gave them a month before I went back hoping more training was done. I went in everyday for a week and decided to check my receipt because the price seemed a little higher than advertised on the board. I figured out that they were charging me $1.49 for an add on when it clearly states $.99 on their board. I came back again the next day and the they started charging correctly. After that I decided to only come on $5 fridays. Every friday I would pay the same price $5 and a add-on for the same exact drink, except today. Today I was told my drink is $6 because its considered a meal replacement. I don't know if I was charged incorrectly today or all the fridays before because a manager was not on staff at the time. The smoothies aren't bad here, just a little overpriced. There is an obvious lack of training. If you decided to come here, I urge you to check your receipt because there is a good chance you are being overcharged. read more
