I got the Kale-N-It smoothie as it seemed the most refreshing and nutrient dense option for the hot summer day. This smoothie was the right thickness and was shockingly sweet from the pineapple juice. You could not taste any bitterness from the kale yet the green color clearly identified it was blended in. I ordered the large smoothie and was so full! I was expecting it would be the appetizer to my breakfast, however, it kept me full for hours! At the $12 price point I thought it was well worth it for how delicious, nutritious, and filling it was. This truck had a pretty long line and I thought they moved through the orders efficiently. I felt they had a good team taking and blending orders and I would certainly come back to try more of their offerings.

And because one is never enough, I bought two--one to enjoy today and one to freeze for tomorrow. South Block always has such a casual but vibrant atmosphere that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The smoothies are always delicious, and my favorite bowl is the Peanut Butter Blast with the Nutella topping. The service is consistently great, the food is delicious, and I love having healthy options that make you feel good. But one of my favorite things about South Block is the positive, community-minded energy. Amir and the entire South Block team are all about community, having fun, and making people feel welcome. You can really feel that when you walk in. Great food, great drinks, great service, and an even better vibe. Happy 15th birthday, South Block!

After parking at a garage in Pike & Rose, we stopped by South Block to quench my thirst. I have a South Block in my neighborhood and find it overpriced, but I really did need to go. STRAWBERRY MINI - 6.49 I didn't need a whole lot, so I went with the 12 oz. kid size smoothie. This contains guava juice, strawberry, and bananas, which is much less complex than the regular sized 16 oz. adult smoothies. Overall, pretty refreshing and enjoyable. It's not Orange Fanta, but it did the job. Spacious interior but not a whole lot of seating. Definitely more of a grab-and-go while walking around Pike & Rose.

Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It looks and tastes homemade, and not as sweet and "cakey" as other commercial bakery muffins. It was moist with sweetness from mostly the blueberries and cranberries (nothing dried, all fresh). Loved it and will buy again. The quesadilla was made to go on a hot skillet. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. Came with also a side portion of spicy crema sauce which added a kick to the dish. Staff was polite, food is great! Will continue supporting these businesses!

Im sorry but the service and portion sizes have gone way down at this location. I've been coming to…read morethis place since it first opened over a decade ago. Back then the food quantity and the service were top notch-great service with a smile and good quantity portion size. Since then, everything has gone downhill and this place is hit or miss depending on who makes your food, not to mention that anything worth having or anything that is not a cheap item has been removed from the menu (ex: hearts of palm, and now even the popular jackfruit tacos!) Only the cheapest ingredients left behind such as beans, chickpeas, onions, cilantro so they can major profit more and more. The menu has become boring to everyone I know with no exciting new items but just the same old and taking away certain items that the customers love. (Other Moms locations I go to switch up their menus with yummy offerings that Ive never seen offered at this location) Their prices have also gone up quite a couple of times since before covid and on top of that their portion sizes have lessened by more than 50% and still they get stingy only at this location when scooping the scoops always shaking the spoon to lessen the portion of each scoop and still finding sneaky ways to raise the prices more or take away anything that might cost more. Ive also noticed they only hire Hispanics now which I don't care but they definitely do not give service with a smile and half the time they don't understand what you are asking for and get rude if you sub or ask for something that might require a change. I am Spanish so of course I understand the language and alot of times they talk bad or whisper to each other right in front of me when you are undecided or make changes to the menu items. In my opinion, a different manager is needed that values customer service as the current manager is rude and does not like when you ask for substitutions and very stingy as well with portion sizes. Back in the day if i wanted half a scoop of one topping and half of another on my tacos it was ok, not anymore. A lot of people who don't come here often rate good as a good lunch spot but when you come here consistency, you start to see the flaws and lack of service,
