I happened to drive joy when I spotted the food truck & since u was hungry, decided to check it out & so glad I did because because I got a hot drink & my açaí bowl hit the spot. The service was great and they got my order as soon as they could with very little wait time. Even on a cold winter day, there was a good food of people coming through to get food &:or a hot drink. A nice addition to the area & o r i will return to. The açaí base was like eating popsicles that had melted and re-froze and had crunchy ice crystals throughout. I immediately pointed it out to the staff after having a bite and they seemed kind of annoyed. They eventually said it rarely happens but does sometimes when the base melts a bit and they re-freeze it. Well they did remake but it was just as icy and crunchy as the first. 3 stars because the toppings were decently tasty but when the base isn't good, it really affects the whole product. This spot is new and delicious. I've tried a lot on the menu the lattes the smoothies the açaí bowl and the avocado toasts and I've never been disappointed! On Sunday I went to try this place for the first time My first experience with acai bowls was at another local place and I loved them. I was very happy with the bowl that I received. I built my own bowl with granola, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, chia seeds and cacao nibs. It was delicious and everything was fresh. The service was quick and the employees were friendly and accommodating. I like how they have a consistent schedule on the weekends and keep their Facebook page up to date. Their bowls are a little smaller than other places and the same price so that is only negative if I had to stretch for one. I already have a reminder in my calendar to go this coming weekend. This is about the espresso primarily. The coffee flavor is very good (especially compared to most nearby options). Ordered a latte and was curious to see that the drink was translucent, unlike any latte I've ever had in many states, Europe, Canada, at home or in many espresso shops (even including Starbucks). I tried it and it was the weakest and wateriest latte I've ever had. Basically weak even for a regular coffee with milk. Not sure why, even if they had used skim milk it would explain some translucency and lack of creaminess but doesn't explain the anemic coffee flavor. If it were just a coffee place I'd give the coffee 2 stars (1 for good flavor). Service was great! All helpful and smiles. Five stars for that. Even though it's a truck, there's astroturf to stand on and two or three little tables outside under the trees, so it was a very relaxing little 5 minute vacation. Five stars for that. Didn't try the açaí bowl but a family member or two say they're wonderful. 4 stars for family opinion... Worth going for the other foods but if you're going to try the coffee, consider asking for it to be stronger and to use whole milk (and no water maybe). read more

My only critique of this little açaí truck is that I wish they were open more often!! I love the tamarindo bowl and they let you change out fruits if you'd like. This is our second visit to Pura Vida. To get a taste of the tropics in Severna Park is so worth it. The owners are a lovely family and husband and wife team are so friendly, they remembered us from our last visit. The quality of the ingredients are exceptional. We have had all the listed acai bowls and we are eager to try to create our own.
