Love smoothies and Smoothie Place was one f the first places I remember opening up as a smoothie business back in the day. I've been a SK customer since my college days when a large smoothie would get me through the day so I am very grateful to SK for being a pioneer of healthier choices! My ultimate, go-to all time favorite smoothie is the Peanut Power Plus Strawberry! It's so delicious and filling! It literally is a meal replacement with its very thick texture and intense flavor! I put peanut butter in my smoothies at home so PP+ Strawberry always satisfies this girl! I do use the app and take advantage of their perks! I also love ordering through the app and picking it up! It's so convenient when you're in a rush! They have a great deal on Fridays! They give you an upgrade from a medium to a large for an extra buck or so! So worth it! So delicious! Don't support this business. The male server here is incredibly rude. Not able to communicate clearly or kindly when there were discrepancies between the posted menu and their options on their register screen. The manager is literally no better. I live near this Smoothie King location and I've enjoyed some pretty good smoothies over the years... however, in recent history, this location smells so foul that it should be an embarrassment not only to the franchise owner, but to the employees working there who I feel are being made to work under insufferable circumstances just by virtue of that stench. I suspect they take it home with them on their person & and that it permits every single fiber of their cotton shirts. Seriously these guys deserve a medal and I hope get healthcare benefits. I am an avid, Smoothie King customer and have been ordering from another location and paying a surcharge to boot just because I don't feel comfortable ingesting any food that is prepared in an environment that smells like THINGS have passed away and since begun to rot. I don't think this is the fault of the franchise owner. I think it must be the building itself in which case I recommend the location be closed until such point that that foul smell is no longer & hope the franchise owner is compensated to make up for the loss of revenue during the closure. I would like to add that I have noticed the smell accumulating for a good amount of time (over a year now) and it is only this year that I can no longer tolerate it - it's insufferable. I feel so bad for the employees because they're having to leave the door open because the smell is so foul which in an establishment that prepares food & is prone to flies (hello fruit) doesn't seem sanitary. Just the idea of drinking a smoothie prepared there makes me feel as if I'd be ingesting larvae through a straw cause they're that many flies about and that much more potential for flies and other insects to come in if the door is open. read more

The girls working tonight need to be retrained. I told the girl at the register that I wanted to use my Birthday Reward to get the 20 oz for $2 and she scanned my barcode and used my rewards instead. When I looked at the app, the Birthday Reward had gone unchecked even though I checked it on. When I told her I preferred to get the smoothie for $2, her response was "no it's $2 off" and I showed her the email that said the smoothie is $2, not $2 off. Her response was "I don't know what to tell you. With the enhancers you added you'd be paying the same anyways". Then when I received my actual smoothie, it wasn't even full. Staff has changed and so has the quality, taste and most definitely the service! I've filled out several surveys, have had a call from the manager/owner and I decided to go back and give it another shot. Shame on me because, NOTHING had changed, same staff that doesn't give a crap and made the worst smoothie I've ever had, so I threw it out and just decided I'm done with them. The people working here are extremely nice! Gave me no troubles and were extremely quick with taking my order and making it. However, the cleanliness of this shop scared me off. Don't think I will be returning. Upon waiting for my smoothie (the vanilla hulk), I stood alongside the counter and a family after me ordered. One of the workers began to make their order and as soon as she opened something a bunch of little fruit flies came out. Maybe around 5-8? Not only did I receive the wrong drink, but when I arrived at the store there was only one employee working, the young man wasn't even behind the counter, he was sat in a customer chair on his phone. And when I said I was picking up an order he just pointed at the fridge and looked back at his phone. An hour and a half after the order was placed, half the smoothies weren't ready and the store was empty with no customers, so it's doubtful he couldn't get to it because it was "too busy". I have only been here once so I can I get a super detailed review but my experience was pretty bad. Placed my order then was asked if I want to add a tip which maybe procedure at the smoothie King but every other one I've been to this is not the case .then the lady made my smoothie making herself a little cup with the extra left over and sat there and drink it while handing me my smoothie and didn't even say goodbye. A pressure power wash at minimum- everywhere. Where is management? This place is a disaster! I used to go to Smoothie King a lot despite the smoothies being a bit overpriced and the workers usually being some teenagers on their phone. I just like some of their drinks so I took the good with the bad. Also, I like that the App gives you points and discounts. Last time I went to this location I had a discount coupon for the new Keto smoothie so I decided to get it as a little pick-me up snack. When It came to paying, the girl on the counter told me a completely different amount and I had to ask her three times until she noticed she kept saying 9 dollars instead of 3 dollars. What I found extremely odd - she gave me a print out that looked like a bill and told me to fill it out. There was no space to sign only a space to fill in what tip you're putting. I didn't like that at all. It's like they are forcing you to tip since they are giving you a paper where you only fill in your tip so if you didn't want to give one you'd have to give it back to them empty - which would make an extremely awkward situation. Don't get me wrong - I'm a good tipper but I don't want to be forced to especially in a place where service is non-existent. Also, the Keto smoothie ended up tasting so nasty that I threw it out. I often enjoy a smoothie as opposed to an actual meal for lunch since it fills me up and keeps me feeling both light on my feet and energetic. No matter how hard I try to smile at them, ask them how their day is going, or make small talk, they just seem too bored and miserable to make an effort.
