I randomly stumbled upon this little hole in the wall while walking home one afternoon, and I am so…read moreglad I did!! It is part vegan kitchen, part natural grocery store, and completely full of heart. From the outside you might not expect much, but the second you walk in you can feel the energy. The main guy in the kichen - my man Carlos!! - has so much charisma. Before I even had time to fully look at the menu, he handed me a small sample of their soup of the day. It was warm, flavorful, and honestly so delicious that I was instantly sold! I am not even vegan, but the food completely won me over. Everything tasted fresh, nourishing, and thoughtfully made. I ordered more than I planned to, and I have to admit something funny. I do not have a single picture of what I ate or drank because I literally gulped it down so fast. It was that good. The only photo I managed to take was of the enchiladas, the menu, and of course; Carlos! Everything else disappeared before I even thought about my phone. They also made me a freshly squeezed orange juice, and I watched them use actual oranges right there. No fake juice, no concentrate, just real oranges being squeezed. It tasted fresh and clean. On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable. It feels good to eat something that is both healthy and affordable. The store side is just as charming, with shelves full of natural supplements, spices, snacks, drinks, and little treasures you did not know you needed. Everyone there was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have customers walk through the door. It ended up being such a fun and unexpected experience for me. I walked in out of curiosity and left with a full stomach and a big smile. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or none of the above, I truly recommend stopping by and supporting this spot. Places like this deserve all the love!!

Every bite has a heap load of berry-goodness! Also not super sweet.. the way I like it. Tried the lentil soup here the other day and it wasn't salty or oily. Quite flavorful for a quick high protein low fat filling meal. Get the large. It's $5.99 and totally with it. Lastly, the Ocean salad. I like salmon and they gave me a pretty big piece of it the fillet, but wasn't crazy about the dressing or cranberries. I much prefer fresh fruit like blueberries and strawberries. So I'm trying the Sanatos salad with tuna fish added b/c it has a balsamic vinaigrette based dressing with strawberries and blueberries. They are closed on Sundays. Really fresh and healthy and super tasty. Will come back for sure. Btw, it was raining heavy yesterday afternoon and I didn't have an umbrella and my car was parked several blocks away. Hernandez, the owner insisted that I take their umbrella and he would walk with me to my car. Need to share this because they went above and beyond. So friendly this place. So kind. Blessings to your business!!!

I also heard their chicken salad was really good so I had theirs on the croissant, omg it was life changing. The croissant was crunchy, flaky buttery, the chicken salad had the perfect amount of mayo. Def want to come back and try their Mediterranean sides that I saw advertised (hummus, olives etc)

Alright, here's my updated take…read more I'll start with the good, because there is some. The location of this Fresh Market is great. Parking is right in front, super easy, no stress. And when you first walk in, the place actually looks nice. It feels like it should be a solid shopping experience. But that feeling does not last long. I know there have been complaints about food temps and standards, and after going back, I can say this clearly. The problem is not the store itself, it is the people running it. That is where everything starts to fall apart. I went back Monday night, my second visit since that brutal local newspaper article. I had just finished a workout and wanted to grab a steak. Quick in and out. That was the plan. Instead, I walked up to the meat department and just stopped. It was rough. Not a little messy. I am talking straight up dirty, disorganized, and honestly kind of gross. Definitely not what you expect when you are about to buy something you plan to eat. What really gets me is this. One of the employees there also works at another nearby supermarket that is known for having high standards. So she knows what right looks like. This is not a training issue. It is a nobody is checking, nobody cares situation. And it shows. The rest of the store felt the same way. Dingy, a little grimy, just not taken care of. The nice layout cannot save it when everything else feels off. I ended up walking out. No steak, no patience left. It is frustrating because this place has potential. Great location, nice setup, all the pieces are there. But right now it feels like nobody is really running the place. Maybe I will give it another shot around October. Hopefully something changes. Right now, it is just not it.

So. I'm still on a mission to find the best lunch options at a supermarket. Whole Foods seems like…read morethe obvious choice. However, once again I was sorely disappointed. Opted for the hot foods and salad bar. The hot foods didn't look too appetizing but the salad bar options were interesting so I went with that. Nicely topped my greens, spinach and kale with an abundance of goodies. Went to get my oil and vinegar (not a fan of bottled dressings) and the olive oil container was empty. Asked no less than FOUR staff to refill the olive oil (all said we have no more) until the final 5th got the olive oil refilled but didn't tell me. Another customer told me it was refilled. WHAT? No way is this acceptable in any world. Honestly, I don't know why this place has 4 stars. Must not be for the food bar. Oh, and containers are all thin flimsy cardboard even for the salads and wet food. Ugh!! I was able to convince the sushi guy to give me a plastic liquid-proof container, hence the 1 star. I shall continue my search for the best supermarket lunch. lol
