This week I am stuck here due to truck repair issues for about a week. I had to run to the local laundromat and across the street is Los 3 Reyes store and taco shop. Come to find out this group is from California and has absolutely fantastic food. All of my different tacos, which were several, of each offered including shrimp and fish were amazing. Guacamole and refried beans like everything else are homemade, and are exactly what I would expect if I were making them myself, if not better. The store offers anything you could possibly want in an Hispanic market. Looks like this will be my daily stop for food especially since the Chile Rellenos will be finished this evening as they sold out yesterday. I can imagine how wonderful they will be as well!! They make two different salsas here, a green and a red. Both are excellent.

We have a lot of Mexican restaurants in town so competition is fierce. Anytime I come to town I stop by for lunch & get the nachos Reyes which is a huge pile of chicken, steak, & shrimp on top of tortilla chips covered in refrained beans & queso. It's a bargain for like $12 & damn delicious. I lived off nolensville road for 2 years & had a great time eating at all the taquerias & food trucks down the strip. Los 3 Reyes could hang with the best of them up here no doubt. Grab some imported Mexican sprite & Coke in the tall bottles while your here, also whoever supplies their tres leches knows what they are doing. ALSO Last I remember street tacos are a buck a piece on Tuesdays.

The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. The Coconut Queso was an absolute hit. I haven't stopped thinking about it since I got it. I got the Quinoa Sweet Potato Salad from the dinner menu as well but it was very similar to what was already in my bowl nonetheless delicious all on its own. Boyfriend got the Brunch Tostadas and he enjoyed them. We both got the triple stack Gluten-Free Pancakes to share and the texture was like an old fashioned pancake we contemplated getting another stack. That's how good it was. Our friend got the Tofu Chicken Biscuit as well as a single pancake. He liked his biscuit and ended up ordering another pancake! All in all, wonderful mindful eats. I would 100% recommend and return.
