Whenever I'm in Des Moines, I have to make a stop here. Not only is the customer service great, but the shop has ample amount of space to hang with friends, study, or work. You will surely be satisfied with any of their coffees, sweet treats, and even their ice cream!!!

It's okay as a spot to grab coffee, but I think it's mainly a spot for people who live in walking distance to hang out. The location confused my gps and the parking lot wasn't the greatest layout. Going inside, the staff was fine, but not particularly friendly. I don't think there's anything wrong with this place, but it just didn't seem special, the experience or the coffee itself.

My friend and I stopped at this place right as we drove in for a concert. We were starving. We walked in and the vibe was great! There were people everywhere--some dining, others studying, others sitting at the soda counter. It attracts a very diverse clientele, and I loved that! We ordered delicious sandwiches and coffees. The food came right away and the portions were great. This is definitely on my list of places to visit whenever we are in Des Moines next!

Really enjoyed the vibe of this place. The staff was super friendly. And the scone was pretty good. Coffee was typical but decent..

Was in Des Moines today earlier for afternoon business and stopped here for a quick drink. Got a vanilla iced chai latte. It was very good. Would get it again immediately. Staff nice, service quick and a very inviting shop. Lots of baked goods, coffee, tea, sodas, ice cream, and more. Love the layout and different rooms they had. Plenty of room. When in the area.... Would go back instantly. I like how spacious it felt. Only thing... they should post their Wi-Fi password so it's easy to find.

This place has been on my want to go list for over a year, but I was never downtown in the morning or afternoon and stopping on the way home in the evening seemed too late for coffee. I was finally downtown helping with a Habitat for Humanity home build, so took the opportunity to stop here for lunch. Wow, am I glad that I stopped to see what all they had to offer (a lot more than just coffee - see menu pictures) and experience a couple of great items! I was taken aback with the large selection of breakfast and lunch sandwich offerings and felt that they were fairly priced. I started with a Pumpkin Pie Latte (see picture) and was thoroughly impressed - flavorful, yet wasn't overly sweet and heavy. For my lunch I ordered a Rise and Shine (smoked turkey, egg, crisp bacon, provolone cheese and fresh guacamole on toasted ciabatta - see picture). It was fantastic...I highly recommend it. You will definitely enjoy your stop here, no matter what time of the day or night it is. Food: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Value: 5 Service: 4 If you found this review helpful, please click to show your support. Large central coffeehouse that attracts all of Des Moines. Nice place to gather with a group, study in the corner, meet a date, bring an out of towner, or get a cup of joe one on one with a friend. Food and coffee drinks galore. Ice cream, teas, baked goods, and cafe foods are offered here. The Cheeseburger Soup is probably the most popular food among my friends. And the traditional ice cream is attractive to all those who can enjoy it. Smokey Row offers syrups and all sorts of milks. I do enjoy a nice flavored latte with Oatmilk. Their coffee and espresso beans are ok. I would like to see more plant based options for snacks and food. I typically enjoy a simple loose leaf tea in a tea pot with unlimited hot water refill. Decor is rustic and vintage. Booths and tables and meeting rooms. It draws all sorts of patrons to come enjoy this location. I like Smokey Row but it's not my go to coffeehouse. It can get very loud and crowded at times. But makes a great spot to come to see and be seen.

Passing through town I stopped in here for a cup of coffee. What a great spot. While the line was a little long, it moved quickly and my drink arrived shortly after ordering. The girl at the register was fast and friendly. The place was casual and relaxed. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular stop for me.

Cute on the inside, but that's about all it has going for it. Ordered the turkey Panini and it was horrible. They have too much stuff on the menu and none of it is good.

Amazing coffee and friendly staff. The blueberry latte that was a special was excellent.

The strawberry matcha and latte was super good! I like that they're open late, it made late night travel much smoother.

I found myself a spot across from a tv so that I could watch some Olympic hockey. Very attentive but not intrusive staff. When I finished one drink or my food, my glass/plate were swiftly whisked away. The tiny Guinness shot was adorable, and honestly worth the money for the selfie opportunity alone. I also had their lamb burger with fries, which was quite good as well. They had plenty of pub favorites on the menu, but if I stopped by again, I would probably still get the lamb. It's such an underrated option.

The center was very oily and the breading fell off. I feel is they did smaller pieces it would be better. I like crispy, flaky, with minimal grease. I want the breading to stay with the fish and this just didn't check those boxes. It just wasn't the best I have had, good, but not great. Comparing to The Bank in Ireland it just didn't hit. For an English Place I really wish they also had traditional mushy peas which are fantastic. The French Fries were just Ok. The place wasn't very busy and the service was good. Would try other food if in the area.
