Soo many activities!
Kara P.

This was our first time at Smokey Hollow but it will not be our last! We stayed in a yurt right on their beach/pond and it was amazing! They had so many activities for the kids and plenty of tasty drinks for the adults. Every staff member was friendly and courteous. We loved the inflatables in the pond and the blinky parade at night. My only complaint would be that you can hear everything from inside the yurts. If you need quiet for small kids or babies I would recommend a cabin or trailer rental instead. Highly recommend!!

We were recommended Glacier Valley by a family member in the area and we were not disappointed…read more When we pulled up at check-in, we found a very long line of campers waiting to dump (we saw this was an issue in Google reviews so was prepared) but finally got a space to go around and get checked in. We rented two of the cabins and the amount of space inside was perfect for this family of 4! Each kid got their own loft, we had a bed with wonderful space. The number of things to do while there was perfect for the ADHD kids and the ability to sit and watch them do ALL THE THINGS was perfect for this tired momma! We played mini-golf at 6:45 am, horseshoes at 6:54 am, and playground at 7 am to just start all over again (multiple times)! Definitely plan your drinking schedule with the fact that the bathroom is not in the cabin but still close! We had s'mores on the fire pit and two nights of BBQ! We even swam in the lake and the kids LOVED the inflatables (even the 40-year-old fat dudes got out there). The owners were incredible and friendly. Really can see that they care and have built a wonderful community. We will be back!

This is the most perfect campground we have ever stayed at in our lives…read more Think Dirty Dancing and the Kellerman Resort but in the middle of beautifully green and lush Wisconsin. The owners have put so many very thoughtful touches and it is crystal clear that they are looking to help your family build a lifetime of wonderful memories here. So many amenities I hardly know where to begin... The road into their expansive property is perfect and looks brand new. You pass by the 3 beach volleyball courts, the horseshoe pits, you pass by the stocked fishing pond, the heated pool, pavilion, fully stocked store and main office complete with snack bar including pizza, ice and firewood. Don't forget to check out the massive inground trampoline or all of the various inflatable water toys/attraction (slides, bounce house, merry go round, etc). Canoe, paddleboards, and kayaks available. They even have golf carts available for rental. Clean bathrooms and showers (coin operated showers), multiple dump stations, 300 rv sites with 30amp hook up's with water. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and plenty of room to offer pull through service. A few cabins are available for rent but I imagine those book out quite some time in advance. Laundry facilities and WiFi. Now, let's be realistic people. This campground is hundreds of acres out in the middle of nowhere. You're not going to be streaming ANYTHING. But then again, you're not out at a family campground to be surfing. There's no cell reception on any carrier so everyone is jamming their measly 3bps WiFi system. You're just going to be able to squeak out the occasional text or email. Just enough to check in on those you love and vice versa. If you need something more than get yourself a WeBoost or similar product and stop complaining. This place is immaculately maintained and it is clear to see why so many people come back year after year. If we lived in Wisconsin our family would book this place long-term for the whole season. It's that good. A special thanks to Taylor who made the after hours check in and set up a breeze and who's great attitude was such a pleasure to see at various times during our stay.

We took our 4 grandchildren on a Sunday to Tuesday stay. stayed in cabin on the hill. We planned on cooking breakfast and dinner but for lunch we assumed we could just eat at pool area as we had done in the past years. :( sad to say we were told no food only ice cream and slushies! Then when it came time for ice cream, they were out of vanilla and Chocolate :( and no frozen pizza in freezer to go and bake. Stores are not close! As for the inflatable lake toy's they were pretty deflated! and there was no way to get in the water trampoline! Also cabin on hill needs a deep cleaning. Fan was too dusty to turn on. Good points grandsons caught a lot of fish! pool was kind of warm. pool bathrooms were warm and clean. Beach area was clean :)

Pretty much had the pool to ourselves on Thursday, but it was pretty busy around noon on Saturday, which is to be expected. We spent about 12 hours total in the pool area throughout our day. They also have a basketball court and a volleyball court, mini golf (for an additional charge) and a small arcade area. They also have two bars and food available to purchase. You can eat there, get it to go, or have it delivered to your campsite. Drinks were priced cheaper than they are at our local bar back home. They also had different activities going on throughout the weekend. If you download their app, they will send you a notification 15 minutes before any events. Campsites are pretty close together, but we enjoy meeting new people, so that wasn't an issue for us. Also, some people want a quiet campground, and I wouldn't say this is necessarily one. There were a lot of different groups of people hanging out pretty late and having a good time. Again, not an issue for us, but something that should be noted for those that want quiet campsite. We did not use the showers or bathroom facilities often, but they were pretty clean anytime I went in there. Campground is also animal friendly. We had our dog and he enjoyed the dog run area they have. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We will not be booking these sites ever in the future and we may be done at SH (been coming here over 20 years with a good size group). We get that they probably needed to dig a trench to install sewer lines (none of us need) BUT to tear out all that grass makes no sense. Some sites closer to the office/pool of the 200 row of sites is already growing a fair amount of weeds into the sites. Bet that is not going to be fun for the mowers with the large stones.... Come on SkyHigh, I get the need for improvements but this is anything but :-(

Best for RV campers who enjoy the challenge of a non-level site and have access to unlimited leveling blocks. Electricity hasn't been updated from original installation 50+ years ago. (Seriously, it's from the 60's). Cannot support advertised 30 amp service. 15 amp service was questionable at best. RV's with a fridge or water heater, expect to use your propane. A/C is not supported, and usage within any camper on your block blows the main fuse. Eventually the owner replaces the fuse after an hour, and the process repeats. No compensation or refunds are available. There is a $10 deposit for any reservation. The rest is paid on arrival. The owner will pressure for payment while campers are actively setting up on their site. There is a pool. You can use it... Trees are not maintained with in the campground. Many low branches, dead and alive. Roads are not suitable for larger campers or Any Big Rig. Many large, dead hanging branches within the campground. Pavilion/shelter for rent: Not available upon arrival, after reserving a year in advance. The pavilion is a garage that is mostly full.
