This is the most perfect campground we have ever stayed at in our lives…read more Think Dirty Dancing and the Kellerman Resort but in the middle of beautifully green and lush Wisconsin. The owners have put so many very thoughtful touches and it is crystal clear that they are looking to help your family build a lifetime of wonderful memories here. So many amenities I hardly know where to begin... The road into their expansive property is perfect and looks brand new. You pass by the 3 beach volleyball courts, the horseshoe pits, you pass by the stocked fishing pond, the heated pool, pavilion, fully stocked store and main office complete with snack bar including pizza, ice and firewood. Don't forget to check out the massive inground trampoline or all of the various inflatable water toys/attraction (slides, bounce house, merry go round, etc). Canoe, paddleboards, and kayaks available. They even have golf carts available for rental. Clean bathrooms and showers (coin operated showers), multiple dump stations, 300 rv sites with 30amp hook up's with water. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and plenty of room to offer pull through service. A few cabins are available for rent but I imagine those book out quite some time in advance. Laundry facilities and WiFi. Now, let's be realistic people. This campground is hundreds of acres out in the middle of nowhere. You're not going to be streaming ANYTHING. But then again, you're not out at a family campground to be surfing. There's no cell reception on any carrier so everyone is jamming their measly 3bps WiFi system. You're just going to be able to squeak out the occasional text or email. Just enough to check in on those you love and vice versa. If you need something more than get yourself a WeBoost or similar product and stop complaining. This place is immaculately maintained and it is clear to see why so many people come back year after year. If we lived in Wisconsin our family would book this place long-term for the whole season. During our…read morestay, we ran into an unexpected (and honestly stressful) situation when our camper's toilet clog and therefore overflowed, and could have easily ruined our trip--but thanks to the kindness and generosity of the owners, it turned into something we'll never forget for all the right reasons. Without hesitation, they stepped in to help us manage the situation and went far above and beyond what anyone would expect. Not only did they offer support and reassurance, but they generously provided us with a cabin for the night--completely free of charge--so we could sleep for the night , regroup, and not have to worry. Their compassion, responsiveness, and genuine care for their guests truly set this place apart. It's rare to find people who treat you less like customers and more like neighbors or friends. Because of them, what could have been a disaster became a reminder that there are still incredibly kind people out there. We are beyond grateful and will absolutely be returning--and recommending this campsite to anyone looking for not just a great place to stay, but truly exceptional people behind it. Trash removal was prompt. There was a fire ring outside. We made fire in the evening. Camp store food was reasonable. Soft serve ice cream came in many flavors. Pizza burger was my favorite item. Burger patty had a layer of cheese in between. Tot rings were nice and crispy. Crispy chicken sandwich and chicken nuggets were good. Chicken Alfredo pizza was lotza mozza pizza. I like that brand. Root beer float was a decent one. There was a complimentary softee cone, a kayak rental and a bundle of wood. That was a nice surprise.

Best for RV campers who enjoy the challenge of a non-level site and have access to unlimited leveling blocks. Electricity hasn't been updated from original installation 50+ years ago. (Seriously, it's from the 60's). Cannot support advertised 30 amp service. 15 amp service was questionable at best. RV's with a fridge or water heater, expect to use your propane. A/C is not supported, and usage within any camper on your block blows the main fuse. Eventually the owner replaces the fuse after an hour, and the process repeats. No compensation or refunds are available. There is a $10 deposit for any reservation. The rest is paid on arrival. The owner will pressure for payment while campers are actively setting up on their site. There is a pool. You can use it... Trees are not maintained with in the campground. Many low branches, dead and alive. Roads are not suitable for larger campers or Any Big Rig. Many large, dead hanging branches within the campground. Pavilion/shelter for rent: Not available upon arrival, after reserving a year in advance. The pavilion is a garage that is mostly full.

A set of long stairs usher you up to the tower and that is where we started our journey. We climbed to the top and what a sight it is to see. This tower is high up as it sits on the crest of a hill. Amazing and a bit scary all the same time when you get to the top. Bring your pup cause this place is a perfect little spot to hike thorough with them. Trails are well marked and walking through the forest here is a bit surreal as you are led through windy twists and turns that are littered with rocks and trees and so much nature it is just a pleasure to experience. We drove up from Milwaukee and it takes about 50 minutes to get here. When heading home I suggest taking the scenic route back and driving by Long lake and through the country side of Wisconsin. Lot's to see and just an enjoyable jaunt all around!

Very open concept made it that much more enjoyable and user friendly. We got some snow Friday night which made us all a little late getting there, but was so nice once we made it. Then, Saturday morning I shoveled off a section of the deck. At about 10:00a.m. the owner comes by and shovels the complete deck, porch landing, stairs, and walkways. I was impressed by this as I didn't expect to see anyone all weekend. He stopped by several times to check/change the outside trash as well and he did this without bothering us in any way. I highly recommend this place for any large group who wants a realistically priced place to spend the night. There was a huge puddle of water in front of the showers. Wonder where it was supposed to drain. The water only got warmish, never pleasant. I recommend that the people who run the place take a shower there so they can figure out what needs to be fixed. For 80 bucks, we expected much better.
