Must try! This is my new favorite barbecue place. My first time here and the food and service blew me away. Thursday is buy one get one free brisket platter so we got double the food just for showing up! Let me start off by saying they have the best fried pickles I've ever had. The ranch is real homemade buttermilk ranch. We also got loaded baked potatoes, incredible baked beans, and a Caesar salad. Everything was top notch. The only downside is I now have to roll out of here. Special shout out to our server, Robin and manager,Chris. You really know how to wow a first time customer! And thank you for bringing little Charli her donuts. You made our night.

Met here with friends to see what the all day happy hour was about. I can tell you we were not dissatisfied. The menu is limited, but the prices of the wings, burger, and nachos were all 7 bucks for more than decent food. Drink specials are also some of the best out there! They were pretty busy but we were served pretty quickly, they seemed well up to the task at hand. Would go back for the HH specials for sure!!

I tried this place on a whim. My partner ordered this to go so I only am reviewing how it was once it got to my house (about 15 min away). Each entree had a half rack of ribs, toast, fries and a side. The first picture shows a half rack, potato wedges, and corn. The ribs itself were really good. It also comes with bbq sauce to pour on top and the meat was very tender. I'd hive it a 8/10. It could have been a little more seasoned but I'm sure it would taste a lot better if I ate it right out the oven. The potato wedges were good, but could have been seasoned just a bit more and the corn was great. The toast was delicious as well. The second entree wasn't for me so I can't comment on the sweet potato fires or the broccoli. Serving wise and price I think it was pretty good. I was able to completely my whole plate, minus the corn. If I ate that too I would have been too full, but overall it was delicious. I'm excited to try it again and have the full experience right out of the kitchen.

Walked into Smokey Bones Clearwater at 2:42 pm and it went downhill instantly. The place wasn't even busy, but the dining room looked like a hurricane hit it--dirty tables everywhere. We sat, and it took 20+ minutes before a server even showed up. My wife orders a Bones Margarita. It comes out looking like a toddler made it--salt dripping down the side of the glass, not a grain on the rim. Strike one. Appetizers: pretzels with cheese and cornbread. Cornbread was okay, but the pretzels were burnt, rock-hard, and blackened on the bottom. The "cheese sauce" was watery, tasteless sludge. That wasn't cheese--that was liquid depression in a cup. Strike two. We put faith in the Bone Fire. Huge mistake. After waiting an entire hour, the food finally crawled out of the kitchen looking like it had been assembled behind a gas station dumpster. * Ribs looked like they'd been hacked apart with a butter knife and tossed on the plate. * Potatoes were so overcooked they belonged in a museum exhibit, not on a plate. * Chicken still had feathers attached. * The sirloin steak was a complete joke--the size of a half-dollar coin. Called for the manager, and he strolls over with excuses: "The ribs are imported, the vendor sends the chicken that way." Nah, buddy--this isn't a vendor problem, it's a standards problem. If your ribs look like roadkill and your chicken's still rocking feathers, the only thing you should be importing is some pride in your kitchen. What you actually need isn't new vendors--it's new management. We left. Sent the food back, paid for drinks and apps, and still left a $10 tip for the server--because the staff wasn't the problem, the system is rotten from the top down. This wasn't food. This was punishment. Between the filthy dining room, the endless wait, the trash on the plates, and a manager who hides behind excuses, this place is a one-star dumpster fire. If you want real food and real service, go literally anywhere else. Smokey Bones Clearwater is where good meals go to die. Smokey Bones? More like Smokey Garbage. Bone Fire? More like Dumpster Fire. One star only because zero stars isn't an option.

It was good but as a manager i would never let containers look like this

From the website, this is the description of what is in the pic: Bone Fire A meat lover's dream. Import Baby Back ribs, sirloin, smoked wings, smoked sausage, chicken breast, potato wedges, grilled peppers and onions, all served on our signature Bone Fire Grill. Service was great, stayed on top of drinks and such. The presentation is fun and different. Food: the good: was the steak, sausage, chicken breast and potatoes wedges. Bland: wings and ribs. Both lack flavor. I'm not compelled to go back. Especially is there is other decent/better options.

I was so excited when I saw this place. I thoroughly enjoyed the Smokey Bones in Kissimmee that closed. I couldn't wait to try the Smokey Bones in Clearwater. I must say I wasn't disappointed!!!! I ate well. The wings were good and the sides were also good. The cornbread was amazing with the pecan butter. The restaurant was clean and our waitress was attentive.

I recently dined at Smokey Bones for a casual night out, and while the food was generally good, the service left a lot to be desired. I started with the Triple Rum Punch, which was delicious. I had the nachos and a cup of brisket chili; both were flavorful and satisfying. My husband ordered the brisket platter, which was just okay. The portion size felt a bit underwhelming, especially the broccoli...there was barely any. Unfortunately, Our server kept disappearing for long stretches and forgot to bring us silverware. I ended up having to flag down another server just to get utensils, which was frustrating and disruptive to the meal. Because of this, we left a 10% tip, which is significantly less than the 18-20% we normally leave when service is decent. We won't be returning.

We stopped in for lunch at S B, a franchise that we never tried, but Cuz (who was with us) said it was a long time favorite of hers. They had a special on ribs, they rolled back the prices to 1999 (the year they opened) so it was $14.99 for a whole rack, plus two sides... Who could resist...!!! The ribs were simply delicious, fall off the bone, and juicy. I love this place, and will be back, maybe next week...

Good food, lots of TVs to watch the game. Not overly expensive. Great place to hang out.

I came in with low expectations since this looked like your average chain style casual sit down joint. Unfortunately my expectations should've been lower. I got a pulled pork sandwich which was dry as a bone so they got one thing right... sauces were all about the same taste and mediocre at that. Price to portion ratio was very disappointing. Service was nice and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The baked beans were good but almost too sweet seemed more like a dessert than a side. I'd choose another spot for BBQ.

The burgers are Wagyu Beef based and deeeeelicious! I ordered the Sonny Corleone which was the aforementioned Wagyu Beef topped with Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions....fantastic! Terri ordered the Speak Cheesy Burger which was the Wagyu Beef topped with homemade Mac and Cheese and then smothered with melted American Cheese....amazing. The fries were a notch above and their Onion Tanglers were thinly cut onions rings and one gets to choose from a large list of dipping sauces...we went with Bourbon BBQ and Disco Dip. The BBQ was a sweet sauce and the Disco Dip was a light brown gravy. Both were very tasty! The Prescription Lemonade adult beverages were veeeerrrry good as well, one Strawberry version and one Blood Orange. Service was excellent...and it was a quiet place. We talked briefly with the couple at the next table as they were also "dog" and "horse" people. Overall a great experience....I found out later that they also play classic movies in their back room for a definitely unique date night option for people.

Our waitress was extremely nice. She answered all of our questions, took her time and offered recommendations. It was almost like we were her only customers. HOWEVER...we were outside in front. Fairly crowded and very nice. UNTIL I had a dog come by and lick my hand that was near my lap. Totally unacceptable. WE DO NOT NEED DOGS out of control on a patio. Management should have a constant watch on them and perhaps put them in another section. Yes, I understand that the owners are ultimately responsible but Gigglewaters management can certainly enforce any dog rules. (if in fact they have any). This ruined a nice afternoon meal prior to a concert at the SHAMC. Would have been a 5 star but dogs licking your hand as you are eating brings it down to a 2.

To be fair, we were told by the manager to call, give them another chance to make it right etc. However, we didn't call and only gave them a second chance this morning with friends. The reason I didn't call to "make it right" was I want the experience I have at a restaurant to be organic, and not get special or specialized treatment because we made a complaint. Now, on to our adventure today. We (a party of 4) arrived around 1020ish and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty full, which was expected as it was a Sunday morning. The lady who seated us (not our waitress...tall with long dark hair) was very friendly, chatty, and funny. We appreciated her service. Our waitress was quite inattentive. We each got a cup of coffee, along with waters, iced tea, etc. Once we got our drinks and the orders were placed, we didn't see the waitress again until after the food was delivered (i.e., a very, very long time). The tall dark-haired lady finally came around and refilled our coffee/tea/water after they had all sat empty for 10+ minutes. The wait for the food was so, so, so long. We waited close to 45+ minutes for our food (nothing special, nothing fancy, straight up off the menu, no changes or alterations). This has not improved since the last time we were there and it is just baffling to me that it takes so long to get food out. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed enjoyed, however 2 of the 4 biscuits were so hard she could not cut them with the fork, and with very very great difficulty with the knife. The tops of the biscuits were soft and pillowy but the bottom were pucks. This time the eggs seemed to have been cooked properly My husband was not happy with the omelette he got, and they took that off the bill without us asking. She did mention that she could have another order put in for him but (and these are her words), "It would take about 15 hours for you to get your new plate of food." We declined a new order and thanked her for taking it off the check. I got a sandwich and it was fine, nothing special but also not awful. Our other friend got a full breakfast platter which he enjoyed. He said the pancakes were very fluffy. So, in this updated review, I have increased the stars for the food because it wasn't *as* awful as last time, but still problematic. The worst thing, which was an issue with our first visit, is the wait time for food. It is just too. dang. long. I look at a place like Lennys, where we would have been in, seated and eating by the time we got our first coffee refill (also much too long in a breakfast place.....just....have coffee ready??). We did note when we walked in there were only 3 servers for the dining room --- perhaps they were short staffed which is why we only saw our server 4 times --- once for drinks, once to take food orders, and once to check on food, and once to drop the check. It was the lady who seated us who had a great rapport with the table, who was cheerful and friendly who can take credit for the two stars in ambience. In the end, we gave them another shot. No one at the table was impressed. The kitchen is woefully slow. The service was inattentive. we will not be coming back.

When we walked in, we were quickly greeted. Place is still bright, clean and cheery. Interesting soundscapes type music piped in also. We were told we could sit anyplace as we entered. We did and sat at a booth with a very wobbly table. A moment or two later when Ginger took our order, she replied that "we were tryin' to fix that table yesterday but we didn't have a shim." M next time a word about not having us sit there would be a welcome gesture on their part rather than letting us move all our stuff to the next table. Anyway...coffee was kinda weak too. I usually don't bother with diner coffee as it's usually hit or miss. This stuff was the latter by far. Meanwhile we got the former with our food! Queen Bee chose a daily special: one egg, two pieces of French toast and two strips of bacon. I chose the country fried steak breakfast. Queen Bee's choice made her quite the happy camper. French toast she found quite delicious; well cooked rather than goopy or runny with a nice crisp to it. The egg was perfect over medium as asked. She even told Ginger what an over medium egg constitutes. Ginger replied "I gotcha honey" with a southern laugh. My breakfast meantime was quite lovely for the most part. Country fried steak was a standard Sysco truck frozen block of breaded, minced meat. It was properly cooked (as opposed to incinerated) and not greasy. The standout for this was/is the "country gravy." Country gravy oftentimes suffers from one of two problems... 1. Over salty from too much sausage and sausage grease. 2. Floury aftertaste because the cook can't make a proper béchamel. This stuff had neither problem and was one of the better country gravies I've had in recent memory if not ever. Meanwhile eggs were scrambled properly...not too loose, not too tight (more toward the latter than the former). The home fries were quite bland (no salt, no pepper or even a hint of paprika). I wonder if too many of the old folks living round here complained about 'em. Anyway, I added a shake of salt (gasp!) and some pepper. I chose rye toast as I usually do. When Ginger dropped off our chow I even asked if it was rye instead of whole wheat. She said yes with a smile, adding the only way she can tell 'em apart is by "looking for the seeds. Ya gotta be smarter than what ya work with." Finally, Ginger herself is a real hoot. She truly reminds me of a southern version of the NYC diner waitresses I remember from my younger years and decades in the Big Apple. Sassy, funny, and quite efficient, competent and knowledgeable. After we walked in, we weren't so sure about whether we'd return here ever again. However given the balance of today's experience, I'd say that when we find ourselves in the area and in need of a feed...Pete seems to have done well with this joint and I'd say his morning crew knows their stuff!
