If you think the Hooters outfit is too skimpy, what the servers wear at WingHouse is gonna turn your hair gray. Service was pretty decent. The food was good bar food. The wings were huge and crispy. The chicken tenders and curly fries were crispy and well seasoned. I wanted to watch the CFP National Championship game but decided to skip my usual sports bar--first mistake. Winghouse is close to home, and I'd only been there once years ago. Pulled into a nearly empty parking lot (red flag #1) but figured at least we'd get seats at the bar. Inside, most bar stools were taken except two next to a post. Lots of TVs, so we sat. The bartender quickly brought menus, took drink orders, and delivered them fast. We ordered the Signature Nachos, which came quickly but looked more like a taco salad--lots of lettuce, barely any chili on the chips. Not bad, but not great, especially for a "Signature" dish (red flag #2). I had lemonade, my wife had a cold beer--no issues there. Then came 10 wings with a Dallas-something sauce. Red flag #3: undercooked, with some medium-rare meat. They were hot, so I ate about five. Midway through, a loud guy came in with a large cat in a crate, possibly a service animal. Staff rushed to pet it--hopefully they washed their hands. The man, clearly a regular, started loudly yelling about the game, confusing replays for live plays, and berating anyone not rooting for Miami. He kept shouting, "What state are we in? This is Florida!" His behavior got worse, even yelling in customers' faces. At one point, he put his hands on my back and tried to high-five me. I just wanted him out of my space. When the guy started directing his rude behavior toward my wife, I lost my temper and told him to "shut the f%&k up," which got laughter from both him and others nearby. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was in the office, so I requested he come out. Meanwhile, the bartender went to the end of the bar, complaining to the wait staff about me. Eventually, the manager came out but instead of apologizing, he claimed he didn't know about the situation--though I'd seen him on the floor twice ignoring it. He said he'd tell the guy to quiet down if we wanted, which he did. Later, we asked the bartender why an unruly, drinking customer wasn't cut off and asked to leave. She said they can't stop serving someone because of sales. We pointed out that she could be held legally responsible if something happened afterward, but she just rolled her eyes and walked away. We told them we wouldn't be back and warned that catering to people like that would drive customers away. Other regulars confirmed the man had been kicked out of this and other bars before. We won't return to this Winghouse or any others and recommend others stay away too. read more

We stopped in on Friday night hoping to catch an NBA game. Given it is a pretty decent sizes sports bar with more than 20 TVs, we were disappointed to hear that they didn't have NBA League Pass. We decided to take a seat at the bar and we ordered dinner and drinks, anyway. I ordered the Maui Mojito and it was AMAZING!!! First time here in over 3 years; Queen Bee has loyalty dollars leftover and hasn't had wings in awhile. So here we are against my own better judgment. Kim was barkeep, as of course we sat at the bar, per usual practice. Place not overly crowded, which accounts for why a lot of the "girls" weren't doing much of anything beside yapping, laughing and fooling around. "Urban contemporary" music playing overhead, too. I almost felt like I was in Da 'hood; eh...Get rid of that CRAPPY MUSIC! Started with fried shrooms; it was either that or their fried pickle chips, which we enjoyed on previous occasions. Shrooms were nice and hot; breading gave 'em right amount of crunch and the horseradish cream sauce is a great foil for 'em. Only drawback is that they seem like canned or frozen whole mushrooms (think Sysco truck pre breaded), not fresh ones. It's a texture thing; still not bad tho. Then came the chicken: boneless in hot sauce for me; ten blackened flappers for the Queen Bee. Well: when it came out, they were half flappers and half drums. They also screwed up in that QB wanted ranch, not bleu cheese. Once that was all corrected, Ms. Kim apologized and said "the system rings up weird." That's an original excuse for one who can't pay attention to basic information!!! Beyond that, my dear QB said these buggers were well blackened and that they're improved over our last go round with this joint. My boneless hots weren't too bad at all. Toward the end I enjoyed the vinegar vapors as they enveloped my sinuses; nice little bite. That was "little" consolation for a $44 check that included the preceding plus 3 Yuengling drafts. THAT is only AFTER Ms. Kim knocked off $10 in loyalty bucks! No way in HELL would I pay prices like that for food like this, plus mediocre (at best) service from a mediocre (also at best) barkeep. Grilled boneless wings l, which were poor-- Frozen chunks of chicken that never met a grill. Poor performance and execution of what use to be a legendary brand name in the "wings" industry. Worst Service First and last visit to a Wing House. After living two miles from the Gulf to Bay WH for two years, I decided to stop and try it. This location has really taken a dive in the last couple of years. Maybe something to do with COVID or overall just signs of the end of WingHouse overall. Used to be tough to find parking or a seat at either bar but now half the dining isn't open and the inside/outside bar hasn't been open the last few times I've stopped by. There used to be $2 deals on Tuesday for ANY drink and that has been cut back to very limited items. Prices are high, drinks are status quo. Really nothing enticing here any more other than location for me specifically. Service has been okay, but sketchy at times. It's a typical WingHouse but has been let go. WHY HERE? Besides the good food I only have 1 word: Christine. Yes, Christine is one of the nicest people I have ever met (30 countries, 43 states) and it is fortunate for patrons and employees alike, as she is part of their management team. LET THE GAMES BEGIN: This location has all the televised sporting events that you could desire to watch and they are open late to boot. CLEANLINESS: With all the business they do, I have never seen the place dirty. The restroom can get a little messy once in awhile but, that blame lies with the alcohol injected, entitled patrons and should not reflect harshly on the staff. HOURS: This place is open late enough that I can watch west coast games usually to completion. MY TALE: I live on the left coast and I was in town for a bit to sell a house. The place was a rodent infested, mold sticken mess that didnt have A.C. or heat. This place was my escape on four occasions... As I realize that this place allowed me to keep my sanity, I say thank goodness for this Wing House! WHAT'S GOOD? 1. Naked wings. No skin, just the way I like it and coated in.... 2. Dallas sauce... OMG... We stopped in to catch a football game and get an appetizer in the afternoon. We were able to get a table and were greeted quickly. I was surprised to see they had a seasonal pumpkin beer with a sugar rim so I opted to try that. Most places do pumpkin beers this time of year but I haven't seen a sugar rim so that was a nice touch. The restaurant was very busy so the waitress did advise it would take a moment for our drinks as the bar was backed up. It took between 8-10 minutes which we didn't mind so she brought water while we waited. We later placed an order to try one of their new appetizers, buffalo chicken dip which is served with tortilla chips and celery. This was really good with chunks of chicken throughout and not too much hot sauce which I prefer. We also tried the fried pickles which were served with sour cream. I opted to dip in ranch instead. The fried pickles were bland and I would pick a different appetizer next time I visit. There is something on the menu for everyone but mainly fried. We ordered a few rounds of bloody Mary's as well. The first one came out great. A good blend of spices but not too spicy. The second came out about the same but with olives (which we like!). The first round did not have any olives. The third round came out super spicy and with lime. Overall, they were inconsistent depending on who made them. There is plenty of parking and a patio to sit in. There is a bar as well if you prefer vs a table. If you plan to watch a game, get there prior to your game starting so you can plan where you sit vs where they are showing the game. read more

My visit on 2/10 around 4 PM was deeply disappointing with a wide range of frustrations. First, neither soap dispenser in the men's room worked, leaving me to wonder how, or if, the male cooks washed their hands. Secondly, many seats on the restroom side of the main bar had rips and tears in the seat, providing a very unsettling impression that nothing is being cared for is this restaurant. It took several minutes for Dani to acknowledge me and ask what I'd like to drink. It took several more minutes before she actually brought the drink. After several more minutes I was curtly asked if I was going to order something, without ever being offered a menu. She was obviously distracted or focused on something besides my order, when she asked if I wanted blue cheese, when I had clearly stated Lite Italian. A few minutes later I observed a shift change in progress with my bartender nowhere to be found, and the remaining servers in a pre-shift huddle. It was during this time my food made it to the window. After several minutes the meeting finally adjourned with one server going to the window, and choosing to slowly work on bagging a carryout order and doing nothing with my order sitting in front of her. I watched as Katrina passed the window to talk to her coworker, but never bothering to check the window. In the next several minutes I watched additional servers pass the window with my food still sitting there, and each evidently thinking "that's not my job". Meanwhile Dani was still MIA, when Lilly showed up and asked if I needed anything. I said, "I'd like my food that's been sitting in the window for the last 15 minutes." While she cared for this issue immediately, she didn't apologize for my wait. Lilly realizes that Dani never brought utensils or paper towels for my long awaited meal. She brings back plastic ware used in takeout orders, of which are not able to reach the bottom of the salad bowl, and barely cut the shrimp. While the salad with grilled shrimp was very tasty, it was quite skimpy on the cheese and bacon bits. Nothing like I've had before, and had come to expect. Unfortunately, this salad has was $18 plus tip and I went home still hungry. This salad used to be enough for two meals, with lots of fixings, but is now less than half the size and is twice the price. I don't expect to spend $20 for dinner and still be hungry when I leave. I've been a patron of WingHouse over 15 years. However, what I have observed over the last year, and culminating in the 2/10 visit, I'm not sure I will be coming back. If I were to base it on this experience, I would never come back. Unless many of these issues I experienced are fixed soon, and a competent manager is brought on board to lead these young ladies, I don't see this location surviving 2024. read more

For my 20-25 minute order, I got there a half hour later and ordered 2 drinks because it was going to be 10 more minutes (now we're at $100). I got 3 ranch, not 4 blue cheese which I paid extra for, by the time I'm actually home to eat this order after driving back for the blue cheese everything is cold because I've driven 4 times. This will be short. We came on a slow Tuesday afternoon, arrived around 4:30pm. Ordered loaded nachos for our table of four, the nachos weren't bad. Our very pretty server finally took our diner order. 45 min later our meals were served. My boneless (med hot, not hot at all) wings were over cooked to the point of crunchy hard nuggets. My curly fries were over done also, I left 3/4 uneaten. Two out of three of the other meals were way overdone, most were left on the table when we left.
