Brisket and pulled pork plate
Carol R.

Friendly service in a drive thru setting. And the food was outstanding! The plates come with a generous portion of meat, two sauces, vinegar slaw, and seasoned fries. Excuse me while I roll myself away from the table.

2 days in a row, have not done this in forever. Kansas City owner! Fast food drive through. My new fav! If I lived closer, this would be my regular bbq spot, got to try pork, ribs, burnt ends and brisket. The brisket was a little lean but tender compared to the last time but still way better than most Nc cue. Burnt ends were Jack stack from kc full on or joes gas station. Sauces were spot on, the mustard sauce super good too. Sides cheesy corn is essential, and the collards were some of the most decadent and smoked flavored I've tasted. I didn't try the slaw or fries they come with, but they gladly substituted. Also shout out for some creative tacos and non traditional uses of bbq meat such as a daily taco special. Service was 11/10, super friendly and helpful and faster than any fast food restaurant I've seen in years. If I remade the world, I would move the McDonald's line here just to help support this fantastic creative local business. I don't want to sound like I'm bbq polyamorous but I also want to marry you smoke.

Dude, I loved everything about this place. The drive up, waiting in line, the signage, the ultra friendly guy taking orders (and trying to upsell me pie), the cash discount, the banter between the the workers, smiles and good tidings (while still trying to sell me pie) and...the food. Whipped gouda?!?! C'mon now. How can you not try that on a sandwich?

Pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and fries from 3 platters, plus sides.

We drove thru to grab a quick dinner for 4. We bought 3 platters and got plenty of food to share.

Not even nearly the best piece. I dug in to them before I stopped to take a pic. Moist, perfectly rendered with incredible flavor

Best BBQ in Brevard. Just go, you won't be disappointed. Everything we have tried has been great.

Delicious pulled pork, best ribs ever, and "killer collards" are in a food group of their own kind.

If I could give this a higher score than 5 stars I would!…read moreOut of every place I've ever reviewed, this has definitely earned the #1 highest rating I could give. Everything about this place was absolutely exceptional. Starting with service! The woman that greeted us when we came in and took our order, is one of the sweetest ladies ever. I just kept telling my husband after each small interaction with her "oh my gosh I just love her". It's an incredibly warm and inviting space, and I wish we lived closer just to be able to experience that alone more often. But lord have mercy, the food? They knocked it out of the park!!! They have a huge menu with all sorts of stuff that you don't see super often. We got the Chicago dog, the BBQ burger, the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a blackberry shake. Those sweet potato fries will have me dreaming about them until I can make my way back here. There's no amount of praise to do this place justice! All I can say is, if you haven't tried stopping by here for a meal, you absolutely need to!

Big credit goes to Corky's for serving Vienna Hot Dogs from Chicago on poppy seed buns! The cost…read more is a little more than what you'd pay for the exact same thing in Chicago, but you're not in Chicago! They also serve Italian Beef sandwiches, not exactly the same as what you'd find in Chicago, but big kudos for the effort. This is a good place, and they have good hours and are open everyday..

What a beautiful place to get some tasty southern BBQ. Opened in 1997 and purchased by new owners…read morein 2023, the food and atmosphere lend to a good ole hole in the wall. Overall: Quick service. Food was delicious. BBQ Pork on a bun sandwich basket, which includes two sides. Hot, fresh tender pork in the Eastern style (vinegar base). Fries were crisp and hot, hush puppies were crispy, sweet and had a hint of salt. Eastern brined vinegar pork was tender, juicy and filling. No need for toppings! Located on the turn into Pisgah National State park, Hawg is clearly a favorite, and placed in just the right spot to bring in locals and tourists alike. Even on the 4th of July with crowds surging there was plenty of room and plenty of good food. I opted for to-go and only waited for 15 minutes (at 2pm.) It was still delicious, hot, and fresh. The Eastern basket, as it was called, included a BBQ pork sandwich on a bun and two sides. The marinated pork and drizzle of extra vinegar was plenty to flavor this delicious sandwich. A side of their fresh fries and hushpuppies rounded out the meal. With plenty of BBQ favorites including Ribs, burgers, brisket, and fried chicken, a hearty, delicious, filling, and quick meal feels perfect after visiting the nearby Pisgah park and relaxing on the river in an inter-tube on a beautiful summer day. Also, visit Dolly's Dairy Bar across the way for a tasty ice cream treat or The Pisgah Tavern at The Hub for plenty of on tap ice cold drinks.

A lesson learned is that if you go to a BBQ restaurant and ask them if the BBQ is good. And they…read moresay the ribs are good, that's not a good BBQ restaurant because every BBQ restaurant is good at ribs. This was the worst beef brisket I have ever had. It was threads of meat doused in sauce before it got to the table. They replaced it with pork BBQ which was average, but not enough reason for me to come back. I went here years ago and forgot how bad it was.
