JUST GO. JUST GO. Order anything. It doesn't matter- it is all perfect. The BBQ sandwich on that fresh baked brioche bun from Braken Mt. Bakery? Topped with a bit of mustard sauce and a bit of red sauce? It's HEAVEN. The tacos? Amazing. The burnt ends? SO good. I buy extra meat when I go! Yes, you can buy extra pulled pork or burnt ends or chicken. These are good people, this is great local food. If you are in Brevard you owe it to yourself to get to Blue Smoke. read more

There is only one downside here - it is take out only and so good that there is often a traffic jam and a bit of wait to get your food. And they do tend to run out of ribs early. But other than that this place is straight up great. I've had the pork, ribs, brisket, and smoked turkey. All are excellent. The season fries are really tasty. And the coleslaw is really good. They also have some great homemade pickles. read more

This food truck was conveniently located across from The Sunset Motel where we were staying and since it had great reviews, we decided to check it out. They are a drive thru only. I walked over, but I was able to just stand in line. (I was worried I was going to get taken out by the Honda Fit behind me, but thankfully I made it). By the time I finally made it to the window, they were out of brisket, pork, and half-chickens!! That was mostly everything I was supposed to order. In the interest of time, I got 2 orders of tacos - pulled chicken and jackfruit. Never in my life, heard of jackfruit but I figured I'd give it a try. I was hungry. Also got the cheesy corn, collards, and slaw. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I'm now obsessed with jackfruit!!! These tacos were amazing. I can't encourage others to try them enough. I LOVE me some good brisket and I'm sure they make a great brisket here, but I'm getting the smoked jackfruit again next time we go. Enjoy and take the time to drive (or stand) by this place. Superb. My husband, we live in Florida, considers himself pretty good at bbq. He said um yeah, they know what they're doing. Last night at our mtn cabin rental and first considered getting frozen pizza at the IGA. Decided to go into Brevard and instead, get something good. This place was a GOOD choice! Just two of us, but we ended up buying extra for the drive home tomorrow, $60 worth of food lol. Everything was great, from their sauce to even the beans. Just wow. Good job. read more

Seriously amazing brisket tacos!!!! They are a must!!!! Also had the pulled pork and ribs which were also good. I'm very picky when it comes to pork and ribs because my hubby smokes them and they r the best I've ever had anywhere. I give blue smoke a 4 out of 5 for those. Food was fast, fresh, and excellent! As a vegetarian, I tend to avoid bbq restaurants because they never seem to have anything that I can eat. I tried to house salad with bbq Jack fruit. Oh guah y'all, this place is fantastic! I love BBQ and they do it right! Their pulled pork is juicy and absolutely delicious! It's awesome without adding any sauce, but I love their sweet BBQ sauce. Their brisket, well, I really don't think it could be any better. It's also fabulous. And they make amazing sides as well! Baked beans with just enough kick, they're thick and delicious. And their slaw is terrific, it's different than any slaw I've ever had. But wow, it's really good. I wish I lived closer! read more

I love this restaurant so much, and have a slight obsession with their pulled pork barbecue sandwich and slaw. Their fries are perfectly battered, crunchy and substantial. I love their food so much, that we recently hosted a large party and catered 10 pounds of barbecue, a half pan of their creamy corn (YUM), coleslaw, and baked beans. Best BBQ I've had in the Asheville/Brevard area. I got today's special- the Burnt End platter. The fries and slaw were fine but the meat was as good as I've ever gotten at Jack Straw's or anywhere else in in Kansas City. The meat had the right proportion of bark to meat to smoke. It was a succulent treat to eat at a local park. The drive through service was friendly and quick. I'm anxious to try other menu items in future visits. read more

Blue Smoke has been slinging some of the best bbq in Transylvania County for years and their new Blue Smoke Express drive thru is incredible. They're always running specials and the food really is incredible. The drive thru line can move slow during peak hours but the wait is worth it. Some of the best fries in town. Fantastic food and people. Some of the best Brisket and Pulled Park out there. Prices include tax, which is always a nice touch. I'm not a chef, but it appears that they heat everything in your order individually after you place your order, which means it's piping hot when you get it... delicious. Check their Facebook page for the current days menu, it changes often. The brisket and Mac and Cheese seem to sell out very frequently. The Mac and cheese seems particularly elusive, so if you have a chance, get a double portion. read more

If I could give Blue Smoke 6 stars, then I absolutely would. As a person who can appreciate BBQ, even though it isn't my all time favorite food, Blue Smoke has caused me to do a 180. FIRST OF ALL, their brisket tacos are absolutely out of this world. I can't get enough of them. My coworkers and I nearly cried the other day when we all realized that the fries at Blue Smoke are the BEST fries we've ever had. The seasoning is perfect. I DONT EVEN REALLY LIKE FRIES. But I absolutely love whatever Blue Smoke is doing because I ate my fries and stole fries from my brother and my mom. The food always comes quickly, there's vegetarian options, the staff is always pleasant, the owners are extremely kind and friendly. I don't typically write Yelp reviews but as I was eating this forking delicious food I knew I had to spread the love. The drive-thru was long but the workers were speedy quick. As one who absolutely loves french fries I could have cried tears of joy because they were just that delicious. The pulled pork was flavorful and juicy but not greasy. The house BBQ sauces were both fab - I recommend combining the two. What a SHAME it has taken me YEARS to visit Blue Smoke but I can gladly say they will now be a frequent stop. read more

Ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and two sides. First, the sandwich..the pulled pork was good. Smokey flavor and not greasy. Could definitely have used more slaw. The problem was the bun..the bottom half was literally 2 inches thick! WTF? Pretty gross. Discarded the bottom half of the bun so it really was no longer a sandwich. The sides? BBQ beans and their collard greens., both were vinegar-based and both had way too much SUGAR. Pretty disappointing. Was visiting and if I lived in the area, I doubt I'd go back for another meal. read more

I can't rave enough about how great Blue Smoke is! Myself and the other guys on my shift at the PD all love them. The Bar-B-Quban is to die for. Tender, juicy pulled pork, topped with a thick slice of ham, homemade pickles, and a mustard based BBQ sauce, rolled in a fresh tortilla, and grilled. My husband was craving BBQ but I'm a vegetarian so finding a restaurant that suites us both can be challenging. Blue Smoke has vegan jack fruit BBQ tacos. I had not tried jack fruit before and was a bit wary. It was delicious and these tacos did not disappoint! I also had a salad, and sampled the baked beans and slaw, all excellent. The carnivores in the family really enjoyed the ribs and pulled pork. We will definitely be back to Blue Smoke on our next trip to Brevard. As a public health nurse I was impressed with the attention to hygiene and cleanliness during check out at the drive up window. read more
