Don't be intimidated if the lines to the road they move fast. I thought it was the perfect post hike meal. Idk if it was the best barbeque ever or if I was ravenous from the hike. Absolutely delicious drive through meal! I got their special pastrami sandwich, and it was HUGE and soooo good. I think I was full for 24hrs - ha ha! We are BBQ enthusiasts with discriminating tastes, and there is nothing we can say about this place that is not great. The ribs were a highlight. Tender, well seasoned, crusty; they were perhaps the best we've ever had. The smoked chicken is smoky with a perfectly seasoned crackling exterior. Very juicy; not dry. The pulled pork was moist without being fatty. It had nice crisp ends and a good smoky flavor without any sauce. The sides are delicious: pickles, slaw, beans, collards, all flavorful and well, freshly made. On top of all of this, the service was super fast, friendly and fabulous--offering helpful suggestions that were spot on. It was such a fantastic experience. Um... yeah. Ordered five 1/2 chickens, five slabs of ribs and five pounds of brisket. Was incredibly tough driving back to the cabin with that mouth watering smell coming from the back seat. The brisket melted in my mouth, ribs were perfect consistency, not fall off bone, but nowhere near tough and the chickens were smoked to perfection. I tried the mustard and sweet sauce, but the meats were so good, it didn't need any. Its a damn shame I found this place on my last day of vacation. Amazing pulled pork barbecue! I picked up a few pounds for a dinner party. Both sauces are good. The mustard-based one is extraordinary, not too sweet, with a nice kick. The sides are also very good. Try their collards if you can. They were a special side the day I was there and our favorite. Slaw is ok, long narrow chop and not watery at all, I would have put a little moreteado g on it. The sauces were very good but this BBQ is so good you don't need any sauces. The ribs and brisket were outstanding. Nice exterior, still moist inside, and loads of smoke in the flavor. Maybe a hint too much salt in certain bites. The sandwich was good but once you know how great the brisket is alone, the sauce, cheese, and even shoestring fried onions are unnecessary.
