A pretty good restaurant at fire keepers! Our favorite is Nibi but this is a good second and definitely more reasonable price point. The food is fresh and comes out quickly. The seasoning on the blackened chicken is one of my favorite. Good homemade ranch as well. The clam chowder was a very large portion and very good! Fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly and the top chipotle sauce was the perfect pairing. Quick service and don't need reservations. Great location to be able to escape the casino and then go right back!

Located inside Firekeepers Casino. We've had breakfast here a few times since we live close by. Very good meals, good service, and good pricing. If you are only coming to eat and not gamble at the casino, you can park out front of the hotel.

This is our favorite restaurant at the casino. Prices are reasonable for a casual upscale meal and service is always great. The last time I went my mom and I split the crab cakes and Michigan salad and both were amazing. I don't know if I'll ever order anything different! Portions are huge and big enough to split. Overall great experience!

Always excellent service here!! Food is presented beautifully and without a long wait. Just enough varied menu choices to satisfy. We have not had a disappointing meal yet! Recommend.

Went here to take out my wife's father for Christmas. There are not many restaurants open for Christmas, hence here we are at Smoke & Fire at Firekeeper's casino. If you go, make reservations. We arrived on time and they were letting walk ups know it would be a two hour wait. We were seated immediately and our server was always attentive. My wife and I had the Christmas Special which was a huge Prime Rib with twice baked potato and broccolini. It was great, we both had to take some home. Bill had a full rack of ribs and two sides. He also love it. Cost was @ $50 per person.

We went here the morning after enjoying a great evening at Firekeepers. Although they are best known for their BBQ do not overlook their breakfast menu. Great quiet and well decor rd modern ambiance with extremely attentive service. Although our waitress "V" did a great job there were others to always keep that coffee cup full of there house blend. Too bad I could not buy it! My wife had the Butter pecan waffles and I enjoyed the egg omelette that was huge in portion, great in taste with mixed sausage, cheddar cheese and bacon. There are other items to add if you so choose! This was actually our second time here for breakfast but the food disappeared before the camera came out.

First of all the entrance is on the hotel side. Go in the hotel entrance and the restaurant is to the left. The atmosphere here is very casino. Shocker, it being in a casino. Everything thing is very colorful. That's not a bad thing, just a little in your face. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16). The Sandwich consist of Spicy coleslaw, house-made pickles, fried onions, house-made bbq sauce. The Sandwich is a pretty sandwich. However the taste left a lot to want for. It's not a bad sandwich it's just very average. The bun was a cheap bun that easily falls apart, it does taste decent though. The spicy coleslaw was ehh and fried onions untastable.the bbq sauce doesn't stand out. The pulled pork was tender and again tasted average. I upgraded the side for $2 to the Carolina Baked Beans. They were not good. Maybe it's the carolina. I LOVE baked beans and I didn't finish these. By far the best thing was the pickles. Slightly spicy and delicious. The service was excellent. Super friendly and efficient. They did a great job keeping my drink full. Overall a 3 star review. It could have been a two, however service was excellent and the food overall was average, so 3 seems right. Would I return? No. I don't live close and while the other food is probably much better, if a bbq place can't do a simple pulled pork well, it's a pass to me.

Was here spending a weekend at Firekeppers Casino Hotel and came here for dinner. At first walking up we were greeted by a gang of waitress just standing at the hostess desk putting lip gloss on and looking bored. We were seated immediatetly and offered drinks while we reviewed the menu. So let me just get to it......I wanted shrimp added to my entree but they don't allow it, you can only get shrimp as an entree. I ordered the filet migon with mashed potatoes and baked beans, my husband had the bourbon chicken with fries. Since I could not get shrimp added on I ordered the shrimp entree with mac n cheese and collard greens. The food was all really good, everything was flavorful and nice portions.

Hubby and I treated ourselves to fun at the casino and dinner, there are so many places to choose from so we walked around and noticed we haven't tried Smoke 'n Fire. We went to walk in and it was a super busy night so it was an hour wait. We left our number and in no time we got a text. We made our way to the restaurant and we were seated right away. We both sat down and looked at the menu . It didn't take long before I knew exactly what I wanted. When the waitress came I ordered the house salad with ranch to start, then for dinner I got the St. Louis Ribs, and my two sides were Carolina baked beans and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. My husband ordered the chicken tenders with seasoned fries and corn casserole. We were sipping on the cocktails we ordered when she arrived in about 17 minutes with our food. It was PIPING hot and so amazing. The ribs were cooked to perfection, the baked beans were so good, tangy and delicious, the mashed potatoes were absolutely perfect! My hubby loved his tenders, the fries he said were so delicious and the seasoning on them were perfect, and the corn casserole was to die for! I like to think of myself as a "Ranch Connoisseur " and the ranch here is pretty top tier!! If your in the casino and don't know where to eat, this is definitely the place to be! Super friendly staff and tasty food! Highly Recommend! 5 stars from me !!!

Our dinner stretched out over a nearly 3 hour time period, but felt like it flew by at the same time! Never rushed, but intentional and SO enjoyed!! Our waiter was fabulous and made sure that our every need (and want!) was met. He went over and above for us and we loved every moment!! I wish I had gotten his name to mention here! We started our evening browsing the cocktail menu. The offerings are vast! We ordered two different kinds of old fashioned options, always a favorite! One had very unique twist and arrived on fire/smoking! The drink continued to have a smoke effect, but this did not highly alter the flavor! It was delicious and fun! "It adds drama" is how our waiter put it, and he was right! :) It was called "Fire House No. 4". Next we perused the appetizer section. The choices were excellent and we landed on the meatballs, going off of recommendations and previous experience! For meatballs, they were indeed quite delicious but if I'm being completely honest I don't think I'd choose them again. I would venture out a little more. The scallops came highly recommended by our waiter. Also highly recommended was the steak tartare! After our appetizer we ordered a wedge salad. This was wonderful! It mimics what you'd traditionally expect from a wedge salad - this one served with multiple small wedges of iceberg lettuce - but the toppings elevate so nicely! Bleu cheese, the most delicious marinated tomatoes, pickled red onions, and the best, most flavorful chunks of bacon! This was a favorite!! It was finally time to decide on entrees. This was tough! There are many choices I'd like to try and we will definitely be back to try some more. Because this was a special meal and we had heard very good things, both of us ordered the ribeye steak. This is a large piece of meat that arrived with mouthwatering presentation. While the flavors were most definitely evident of a quality piece of meat, I would personally not choose this exact entree again. The meat was well cooked, and done to my requested level, but arrived not very warm. I like my food hot and while I acknowledge that a fine steak presentation likely requires a rest time, my own opinion is put off when I feel like my food is in any way on the cold side. I did not complain about this - and it doesn't affect my rating, but it is worth noting and something I'd like to know when making a decision for ordering! Other entrees that I saw coming out around me that I am SO very interested in trying on a future visit were the fried chicken (WOW! The presentation on this dish is NEXT level!) and the salmon! Everything I saw coming to nearby tables looked quite stunning and I'd quite honestly like to try each dish from their menu! ;) This place is quality, it is very evident! We paired our dinner entree with two side items. The side items are large, intended to serve multiple people. We chose the crispy fingerling potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. Both were perfection! We loved them! The Brussels sprouts had SO much flavor! Even the leftovers the next day were so delectable! We finished our meal with the most exceptional dessert! It was a hard decision but we chose the Chocolate Hazelnut Flourless Torte! AMAZING! It was served with an orange creamsicle ice cream which sounds like a strange accompaniment for these flavors but it fit so very well with the dish. The hazelnut crémeux on the side was also exceptional - just a really great dessert, all around! Alongside our dessert we ordered an elevated espresso that was absolute perfection! One of THE best dessert cocktail beverages I have ever had! I highly recommend this either as your dessert or as an accompaniment! So, so good! Even though there were a couple of things during this meal that I personally would not choose to order again, everything was still superb! I can't choose any less than five very deserved stars!! This was such a great experience at a very fine, local, Kalamazoo restaurant!! Be prepared to spend some five star dollar amounts, but also be prepared to receive a five star, not just meal, but entire experience!! ;)

I landed on the ribeye special of the day. Dry-aged 10oz with mushrooms and two sides. Bread is delicious as well as the honey mustard salad dressing they make in-house. What wasn't amazing was the steak. Dry-aged doesn't mean the steak in the back of the cooler that got dried out. It was so tough it was hard to cut and unable to chew. The waitress just kept saying oh no and it took her a minute of watching me hit the steak with my fork and it not giving at all. At medium rare, it was ridiculously hard with the ends dried out. It was cooked perfectly but dry aging breaks down muscle fibers and removes moisture for a nutty funky flavor. This one was a miss. There was nothing tender about it. She replaced it was chicken Marsala. I already had my sides so it was just a chicken breast on a big plate with a mushroom gravy. They forget the cream. The chicken was cheap chicken breast that has that funky texture like it's raw but it is clearly fully cooked. Chicken was flavorless. Sauce was good but could have been better with some cream. My…read morefriends and I arrived 10 min before they opened for brunch and there was no wait, though the restaurant filled up quickly behind us. The space is rustic and simple, with fresh cut flowers on the tables. A majority of the walls were occupied by floor to ceiling racks of wine, as that is their award-winning product. Their brunch menu changes weekly and is extremely tight and cohesive. My party ordered the entire food menu sans olives (2/3rds of us don't like them), and two plates of the potato pelmeni. My thoughts below: Amaro Apertivo: mocktail based on the namesake dessert wine. This tasted like candy but not too sweet, and we enjoyed it a lot. Lovage soda: Google told me that lovage is an herb that tastes like citrus and celery. I am a huge fan of drinks with a twist, and I'd say that celery is a pretty big one! Crisp and not too sweet, the citrus flavor definitely balanced the Celery, and both flavors kept the soda fresh and crisp. This was great paired with the rest of the herbaceous menu and balanced out the richness of some later dishes, though it's not necessarily something I would enjoy by itself without appropriate accompaniment. Pickled egg, fried shallot, dill: I had only heard of pickled eggs in the context of strange British food on YouTube, so I was a little hesitant about this dish. The concept of an egg floating in vinegar brine is a bit off-putting, but once I powered through that mental roadblock, I found myself enjoying this bite. The egg is perfectly cooked with a slightly jammy yolk, and the shallots added a much needed crunch. Dill enhanced the pickled taste while cutting through the richness of the fried shallots and yolk. Sourdough focaccia, whipped butter: Never in my life have I ever made focaccia this tall. This focaccia was raised by a loving family and nurtured to develop a golden, non-greasy, crisp crust protecting its tender, pillowy innards. The classic sourdough tang is a novel addition to each bite, and cuts through the creamy, whipped butter to keep me wanting more. I could eat a whole pan of this alone, but we had many more plates to sample. Saucisson sec salami, pickled carrot: This is a simple, charming, carb-free mini charcuterie; place a slice of salami, some of the mozzarella (next dish on this list, below), and its oil atop a pickled carrot base, and you are in for a perfectly balanced treat. My favorite part of this dish is the fact that the salami was incredibly savory, and not too salty. The more you chew it, the more the flavors express themselves, so be sure to chew slowly and thoroughly! The crunch of the crisp, dill-pickled carrot and the soft chewiness of the mozzarella give each bite a lot of good contrast. Mozzarella, green garlic oil: Fresh, hand-stretched mozzarella is something that even I, a notorious cheese-hater, can't say no to. It is not sharp or funky at all, nor is it too salty. Most of the flavor comes from the green garlic and olive oil smothering each bite. Fresh and floral with a little bite, this was delicious with the salami and carrot above. Potato pelmeni, asparagus green adjika, sour cream: Given the portion size of the previous dishes (small, tapas vibes), we were not expecting the platter full of double carb heaven that met our eyes. And we ordered two!!! This is a gorgeous dish with plump, quarter-sized pelmeni nestled in a vibrant green asparagus and herb sauce with a dollop of sour cream on top. This was a classic comfort dish with a verdant twist! The pelmeni were stuffed full of creamy potato, and the dough was cooked perfectly al dente for a satisfying, pillowy bite. The sauce was homey but packed with zippy flavor and tender asparagus. The major feedback I have for this dish is that it was way too salty, to the point where the flavor was a tad too sharp because of it. Lettuces, radish, pumpkin seed, caraway vinaigrette: It was through this dish that I found out what caraway tastes like and through this dish that I figured out that I'm not a caraway fan. The lettuces were bitter and when combined with the slightly medicinal caraway taste, wasn't for me. The crunch of the radish and the nutty pumpkin seeds were great in this dish though! Fennel cornmeal biscotti, rhubarb compote, cream: This was a single biscotti with generous dollops of compote and cream. We were quite full when this dish was set in front of us, so I was frankly relieved for the small portion size. The fennel in the biscotti paired wonderfully with the tart rhubarb, and the rich cream rounded things out nicely without tipping into cloying territory. The savory cornmeal complimented the fennel and provided additional depth of flavor. A great small bite to end on! Overall, Spencer's strong fundamentals allow them to take risks with in-season local produce. Some things worked for me and some didn't, but I would love to come back to see what they can create next!

She was taking orders, preparing food, and keeping it friendly. We waited over 30 minutes. Pimp had the bbq chicken dinner and I had a fish sandwich. The place was very clean. Not much seating. We chose to wait in our car. After going in to check several times, the lady said we were waiting for my fish sandwich. (Said she didn't wanna "serve [us] no raw fish." Appreciated that.) But 30 minutes? My fish sandwich was tasty but the white bread was gummy. Pimp's chicken was a bit overcooked and dry. He says the sauce was runny and not flavorful. No seasoning on the chicken whatsoever. His baked beans were bleh and his collard greens were too salty (and we love salt). No bread or corn muffin. Just mediocre. Sorry. Won't be back. Didn't give one star because the lady working there was nice.
