Came here on a beautiful Friday around 3 PM and got seated right away on the rooftop. I'm from Kansas City so I was super excited to try this barbecue place and even more excited when I saw they had Boulevard Beers. Amongst the four of us, we split the Big City eats. For the choice of meat we got the roasted half chicken, brisket, ribs, and burnt ends. For sides we got the Mac and cheese, fries, sweet potato fries, and cornbread. Almost all the food was spectacular EXCEPT for the chicken. The only reason why I am giving this place 3 stars is because our chicken was still raw (there was blood in the chicken). We told the waitress and she said "oh it's raw because it's smoked and it made it look like that but it's fine." No matter how it's cooked it would not be bloody and no it's NOT fine it's called SALMONELLA. She never offered to replace the chicken so that was disappointing. The environment is great, most of the food is good, and prices are reasonable. However, the service in regards to the chicken situation, was disappointing. read more

Amazing! The bloody Mary's are amazing and never not had a great time! The food is also great!

Absolute best spot - great food, great service, amazing drinks, great place to watch a game

Excellent service and food. Delicious! Get the baked beans. The baked beans are *chefs kiss* ‍

This place is disgusting. I've never known a single person who lives here who enjoys the food. And as someone who moved here from Texas, the bbq is repulsive, offensive, and the whole restaurant should be closed or driven out of town with pitchforks and torches. The brisket was fatty and funky tasting. Ribs, dry as a bone. Burnt ends looked and tasted more like dog food. Even the French fries were wimpy and completely lacking any crunch. Stay away!!! read more

Had a wonderful meal with Allison as the server, she is nice and welcoming! A great experience that we definitely plan on replicating in the future!! read more

Service - Awesome. Server was always around & checking to see if we were ok. Atmosphere - Busy, because we were there on a game day. The wait wasn't long though. The restaurant is right next to Wrigley Field. Nice venue, clean, & fun. The restrooms are on the second floor which I wasn't a fan of. Wish there were restrooms on the first floor as well. Food - Good. We ordered the half rack of bbq ribs & the burnt ends sandwich. The ribs were overcooked and it felt like I was eating beef jerky. A little too tough for me. Luckily, my friend liked it so we traded and I enjoyed his burnt ends. GET THE BURNT ENDS! They were amazing! They have a few bottles of bbq sauce on the table to use too. Bloody Mary was ok. Not the best I've had. It had a smoky flavor to it. Would I come here again? Yes. read more

Allison literally makes the night, so fun and attentive and def a reason to come back :D

As a Texas native, the ribs were phenomenal. The smoke on them was just amazing. The mac and cheese was the best mac and cheese from a BBQ restaurant i've had. I couldn't get enough of it!!! I was dipping the sweet potatoes in the sauce trying to savor it. Absolutely amazing. We also got the chicken and brisket. I've had better brisket, but the chicken was very moist and tender. My only complaint is that the food was lukewarm! Not hot at all. Overall, everything was great. Will be back. read more

At Smoke Daddy you will find the best service, we got our food so fast and Ivan our waiter even offered ice cream to the adults. Our family had a great time and we enjoyed our meal. read more

The bbq sauce was a little vinegary for me. But overall, this place was so yummy!! Mac and Cheese: the cheese was pretty light. Not that they were light on cheese, it didn't have that CHEESE taste. You know? The hint of dill was a nice pairing. Ribs: cooked to PERFECTION. It wasn't too "fall off the bone"-ie. it was the perfect mix of tender and work for your food Chicken: I was too full to actually try this. It looked so moist and delicious though. Baked beans: Interesting! I think there was some curry powder in there that was surprising but in a nice way. Sweet potato fries: these were a little too thin for my liking. They were kind of soggy by the time they got to our place. But everywhere we order from, the fries are soggy. CANT WAIT FOR COVID TO BE GONE (or as gone as it's gonna get) read more

We made reservation and were seated right away upon arrival. The host and waiter were super friendly and great in answering all our questions. The atmosphere and ambience were great. I got the pulled pork nachos and my bf got the smoked meat platter (chicken, brisket and burnt end.) My pork was super tender and juicy and it was a huge portion. My bf thought his chicken was a little dry and the other meats were average and he liked my nachos more than his food. read more

It's ok, I'm not sure i'd seek out returning (especially when Big Star is next door). The location is great and the vibe is also very good, but the bbq is fairly average and the price is a little high. We started with the nachos which were actually quite good. A huge portion enough to serve as an app for 4 people and then some. It had some sausage slices as well as brisket and was a good way to get a taste of the bbq. I got a Taste of the Daddy which included a half slab of ribs as well as two meats of my choosing so I of course chose both pork and brisket. The ribs were the highlight for me as they were cooked well and quite tasty - a good rub on them. Maybe a little less meat than I would've thought, but great flavor. The pork and brisket were very average. The pork especially I thought tasted like the most generic pulled pork you could get. The brisket was fattier than I prefer and there wasn't much rub on it so I had to use sauce instead. read more

Smoke Daddy has good food and an awesome view of Wrigley Field which is directly across the street. Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They opened their large windows upon opening at 11:00. It gave us an unobstructed view of the Cubs marquis and the main entrance into the park. As luck would have it, Theo Epstein even walked right past our table which was pretty cool. We enjoyed our meal here, followed by our fascinating and fun tour of the ballpark. Smoke Daddy is a very comfortable spot, right on Clark Street to unwind and eat up! Nice job, Smoke Daddy! Thanks for adding to our fun day in the Wrigleyville area. We'll definitely be returning. :) read more

great service, great selection of food and drinks. Definitely recommend, really good menu and ambience

One of my go-to's for bbq in Chicago! I've never had a bad meal here, I order a lot of to-go/delivery as well and the food arrives just as good as if I was in there in person. Overall I'd break this down into two parts: Food: 4 stars. Our appetizer and entrées were good. The food came out without issue, everything tasted as we expected it to. Our beer-cheese dip appetizer was pretty tasty. The pretzels were a little tough, but the tortilla chips saved it. The smoked meats were really tasty, along with my sweet potato fries. The mac and cheese--I could take it or leave it; there was nothing special. Service: 1.5 stars. We walked in late on a Sunday afternoon--before the dinner rush. Restaurant was about half-full. We waited for 15 minutes before someone finally came to our table. Unacceptable in my mind. There were plenty of servers--some of them were even standing behind the bar chit chatting. When we ordered our appetizer it took about 10 minutes to come out and then when our meals came about 1 minute later. Really? Lastly, I had asked our server for more water (should you really even have to ask for this?) to which they replied "sure". Server goes on to her other table and a guest orders another beer. She brought him his beer and forgot my water at our table. Clearly, they're still figuring some things out. I would go back, but maybe give it time to work out the kinks in their service. read more

Came here to celebrate husbands birthday with our 2 month old. Ok ambiance. We both had daddy-o sandwich with sweet potato fries. Brisket was average, a little dry. Mimosa was small. Server charged us for the birthday dessert - $10 key lime pie. I understand there's inflation but that's petty. Probably won't come back. I think green street smoked meats beats this by a long shot read more

What happened to you Smoke Daddy? The West Town location was always good, but the Wrigleyville one? Man, last night I felt like I was having dinner in a suburban strip mall. Bland food, a terrible beer list and country music that wasn't even the tolerable kind that makes BBQ places enjoyable. And you say your food is the freshest, well, ours came out in 30 seconds. There's no way it was cooked to order. The "jalapeno beer cheese" was cold pimento cheese spread without even a hint of spice, the rib tips were really pieces of brisket, the pork was so bland I couldn't even finish it, even after slathering sauce on it, and my wife's chicken sandwich was one step up from the blandness of the pork. The cornbread was very good. The coleslaw was terrible. And let's go back to the beer list. Two local beers on draft. Mostly crappy macrobrews. I guess that's fitting for a place that is showing only one of two Chicago sports teams that were playing last night and showing the Dallas Cowboys instead. I know they've turned Wrigleyville into Schaumburg, but I didn't realize the restaurants turned their offerings into tasteless suburban food, too. I honestly just had better BBQ in Mexico last week. read more

Perfect place to stop in after a concert night at Wrigley. Have done this twice now. The brunch with pancakes, monkey bread, sausage, bacon, fruit, hash browns and an Entre is perfect. I love the pancakes. I don't know what it is, but I was looking forward to them since we planned our latest Chicago outing. The meats are smoked well with a good smoke ring. Selection of different bbq sauces for different tastebuds. I got the smoked meat sandwich and split it with half pork and chicken. I liked both. Pulled pork nachos was another favorite at the table. The brunch is served family style (except Entre). It is a lot to eat so for those looking for a good variety, good food, and decent amount of it. This is a good option if looking for good food and a decent amount of it. You can pair it with unlimited select beverages (mimosas and others) for additional costs. These options I recommend if not in a hurry and can take some time to spread out the meal. If in a hurry or have less time, go with regular menu options. read more

I kinda expected way more from this place. I was craving bbq so I decided to pay a visit. The service and ambiance are fine but the food is so bland. The meat was tender but it didn't even matter because it had no flavor, even their sauces didn't help much. Definitely find another place if you're craving barbecue, I'm sure you can easily find better for cheaper. read more

Great BBQ, best I've had in the city. They guys who run their food truck also saved me during the snow storm last February They helped me dig out my car when I was stuck in the middle of the street. So they're good people AND their pulled pork sandwich is great. Win win! read more

I've had a lot of BBQ in my life and this definitely ranks pretty high up there. I just got the classic pulled pork sandwich and it was divine. Meat was a perfect tenderness, bbq sauces were all good, bun was toasted to perfection and the sweet potato fries on the side was perfect. If you're planning on going here on the night of a Cubs game make a reservation, you'll thank yourself. Service was fast, friendly and I would definitely come back. read more

Amazing food. Great view of Wrigley. Probably the best BBQ I've ever had, especially the burnt ends and brisket.
