Visiting Chicago and I tried this place out. Food was great, service was terrific and we had a great time and didn't even have any leftovers. Highly recommend! read more

Great BBQ! ryan is good this place is great before cubs games. please go best food i ever had.

The food here is great! The service is also great and friendly. If you're looking for a great brunch or bbq place this is the perfect place.

If you're in the area and want some BBQ, I can recommend their pulled pork, but if you aren't in a hurry you're better off going south a few blocks to Sheffield's. Atmosphere: This place is massive. Designed to support Cubs game day crowds it feels a bit oversized on any other day. I've never seen the 2nd story even open. In each of my visits there was no one at the front desk and it took 5-10 minutes for someone to realize that we needed to be seated. Drinks: Nothing special here, the standards. Food: I've only had the pulled pork sandwich and it's very tasty. There's a bear-shaped bottle of very spicy vinegar hot sauce on the table that takes it to another level. The cornbread and fries are good but I can't speak to the other sides. Overall it's a nice addition to the neighborhood but given its proximity to Sheffield's this feels like it will be more for the Cubs crowd and not the locals. read more

Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Gracie was an awesome host. Great vibes for bingo night.

Excellent vibes, best customer service, great food, fun for a party and a crowd. JD and bartender have been nothing but friendly and fun

Ordered a side of onion rings for six dollars got three literally three onion rings. Ordered Burnt ends and basically was more like pulled pork not burnt ends. Service was good and food came pretty quickly was just disappointed About the burnt ends and onion rings other food was good read more

Juan our server was wonderful professional & courteous the food was delicious & the atmosphere great

Cub's opening day tradition for its amazing bloody mary's! However, we returned a few weeks ago to the horrifying news that they have removed the very best thing on the menu ... the pimento jalapeno cheese fritters. Please consider brining them back Smoke Daddy! read more

I'm bummed about our visit here. Came here before a cubs game and ordered chicken wings, full rack of ribs with two sides. The wings were excellent. However, everything else food-wise fell short. Our ribs we sent back the first time because they were SO tough. My husband couldn't even cut into the meat or stick a fork in it. They took the ribs with our two sides and gave us a new rack of ribs, but without the sides we paid for. The ribs were the exact same and we barely ate any. Asked for our sides and they never came, so we asked for it to be taken off the check. $130 (food + a couple drinks) and left absolutely starving. I don't understand how this place serves ribs. They were totally inedible. Our server was super sweet though and was helpful. read more

I loved their Bloody Mary and ribs. I recommend getting the platter to try all of the different types of meats. Our bartender Brian was very friendly and made the experience a fun time in the city. The manger Kayleen made sure to check on us and see how our experience was during our stay. The workers can make or break a first experience at a restaurant and they were great! read more

Great food and great service - Megan was awesome! We did the all inclusive brunch and it was more than enough food and drinks for everyone.

I've always liked Smoke Daddy... in fact, I have two containers of their BBQ sauce in my desk drawer at work just in case of a "sauce emergency." Whether it's frequenting the Division location or eating it when my company caters, Smoke Daddy almost always delivers on taste and quality. That being said, we had never been to the Wrigleyville location. Upon arrival, our first impression (outside of how crazy loud it was) was WOW - this is not the space we were used to. It's two floors...HUGE! It's a big, clean, modern, "new build" location that has all the delicious food you love and are used to! Most important, their brunch deal is AWESOME!! We actually came in for restaurant week but their regular brunch deal was better. $19/person for massive quantities of unlimited food like monkey bread (omg to die for) pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. They have your typical breakfast food but with that Smoke Daddy twist! Also, for $16/pp more they'll serve you bottomless mimosas or bloodies. The two of us ate and drank like kings for less than $40/ each. No wonder why it's so packed for brunch! (That monkey bread thoughhh!!!!) read more

Brian is the best! He helped us out with the brunch menu and gave us a bunch of recommendations. The manager Kathleen introduced herself as she dropped off the entrees and made us feel very welcomed. She also told us about Music bingo events happening on Fridays that is starting soon so I am looking forward to it. I will be back soon! read more

I love me some bbq and smoke daddy has some seriously good bbq. I ordered the 2 smoked meats (brisket and chicken) with a side of Mac and cheese and cornbread. The highlight of the night was the brisket and cornbread. Man that stuff just melts in your mouth. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken so if I had to do it again would have ordered a different meat. We came on a Friday night and there was live blues music which was absolutely great. That being said, it was a bit loud and I would recommend getting a seat on the top floor if there's a band playing. Still loud enough to hear but also have a conversation. read more

I love this place. My go-to in Wrigleyville for the best food and the best vibes! They have the best service and come out with exciting new menu items regularly. 10/10 recommend! read more

First time here. Only reason I can't do 5 stars is because I didn't eat - but the prices are decent for a place directly across from my cathedral. When I eat here and like the food I will update and leave a glorious review Smoke Daddy. Smells good though! Had beers - good selection, clean tasting (lines), and frosted pints. Decor is stupendous. Open space with an upstairs that has a bar and a balcony with a gorgeous view, and there's also sidewalk seating. Huge open windows on main floor, basically no wall, with a great view of aforementioned cathedral, the one and only Wrigley Field. So close you'll hear every cheer after a play and the organ, if you're watching the game here. This is primo location folks. Staff was friendly and attentive. I'll be back again, and with bells on for sure next year when COVID is gone. (Wear your masks everyone so we can be like the rest of the developed countries in the world someday!) (Also these guys have top-notch safety measures in place) read more

I saw this meal on the food networks "All-Star Best Thing I Ever Ate." Needless to say expectations were high. The service was great. They were very attentive. We ordered the Monkey Bread to start. It was OK. I got the pulled pork Benedict with hash browns. The Benedict was good! I was hoping the pulled pork would be salty to offset the richness of the egg and hollandaise sauce. It really wasn't, but that is why they provide 4 different BBQ sauces. I added the Mustard Q sauce and it really took the Benedict to the next level. The low key star of the show was the has brown. It's essentially an Au Gratin hash brown and it was amazing! I could have eaten a plate of that alone. Social distancing was observed, the staff wear gloves and masks, and there was hand sanitizer at the front greeting area. Really enjoyed brunch here and I will be back. read more

Smoke Daddy - Pulled pork Benedict with hash browns - Barbeque Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've tried to like this place since I live in the neighborhood. But I will not be giving it another chance. My "pulled pork" sandwich showed up as a bark covered ball. They didn't even pull it apart. Their sauces are all terrible. The bun was obviously previously frozen. Simply put, they give zero effort because being across from Wrigley means you get an audience no matter what. I've had a stomach ache ever since I ate. read more

We loved our brunch at Smoke Daddy this past Saturday. Our server, Chelsea, was great fun, attentive and the perfect touch of sass for our bigger, and a bit loud group. Food was quick and perfect, and our mimosas kept flowing. This was my second time for lunch and had another lovely experience the first time as well. These folks know what they are doing, and they know BBQ. read more

This place was nice. I came here for restaurant week. My waitress was so nice and helpful. The food Presentation was nice. The only thing I really had a problem with was the meat was not seasoned so the meat was bland but the cornbread, fries and banana pudding were delicious. read more

Great barbecue! There were 3 of us and everyone thought the barbecue was outstanding. Two of had the pulled pork and it was delicious. The portions were large and the bun was nice and soft and quite good. One person had the Daddy O which is brisket with provolone and onion rings. She pronounced it delicious. Two of us had the Mac and cheese which was disappointing- it was creamy but the pasta was over cooked and just not cheesy. One person ordered the cornbread which was a total hit. We all said next time we would order the cornbread- it was warm with butter on top and it was very moist. Service was quick and efficient. We will definitely be back. Prices were reasonable except for the $7 mimosa served in a plastic cup. read more

Food was good and smoked well. I did not enjoy the house bbq sauce, in my opinion it had too much of a southwest flare for my liking. I guess I should have asked for them dry and tried the other sauces. The service was exceptional and everything came out really quick. I did enjoy the location and music inside. Over all great experience read more

Smoke Daddy Wrigley is the place to be on game day! Sitting right across the street from Wrigley, it's the best view of the ball park. Ashley was our server and was super fun. Allison was the best bartender ever too, she was awesome and personable! And Kayleen was an absolute gem. Can't wait to come back next game day and enjoy a drink and the game read more

Wonderful staff, food, and service! Here for a cubs game and it was the PERFECT pregame spot!

The bingo here is so fun and the drinks are good, will definitely be coming back!! Also good bbq

So good! Bingo night is so fun and food is great. Drinks are also great with a nice variety.

Good food, good ambiance, gluten free options available. Service was great during our visit!

The staff were super friendly and caring and the food was fantastic! Great venue and ambiance!

Great addition to the group of restaurants in the neighborhood! The restaurant has two floors with the main floor being more for the bar and for music entertainment, whereas the second floor is more for bigger groups and for dining. The first floor is first come first serve for seating. Both floors have a full bar! The music is very loud here. We ordered some beers, the Wings, and Taste the Daddy. The beers came out right away and opened our appetites even more! The wings were very delicious! There were five large wings in our order. They were marinated for full flavor impact, smoked to meat off the bone perfection, and grilled for that crispy and juicy skin! The Taste the Daddy comes with your choice of ribs, two smoked meats, and two sides. We chose the baby back ribs, brisket and burnt ends, cornbread and the French fries for sides. The ribs were very good, perfect amount of sauces and the meat just fell off the bones! The brisket was a little dry, but with some help from the Smoke Daddy sauces, it was all good. The Burnt Ends were fatty and juicy with that great smoked taste. The corn bread was the star here. The chunk of Honey butter on top made each bite sooooo heavenly! Definitely give this place a try! read more

This place has a great location but it is totally missing it. We live in the neighborhood and felt like barbecue SO - we walked past Big Star - which was bustling - came to Smoke Daddy's (which was Not bustling ). We thought we were in good shape because we got a window seat but after waiting a bit (despite many employees standing around) we were told they were "out of smoked chicken and that the kitchen closes in 10 min" (note that it was 8:20 on a Thursday evening) . The wings were great - I will give them that. Otherwise - salad was way over dressed and service lousy - music BAD. Great space and it feels like they're close to making it work, so a LITTLE more effort could make it work. read more

The service needs to improve here. I know it was game day, but we (party of 2) were there around 10:00 am!!! We were seated on the patio. There was a table of 6-8 patrons at another table. They ordered and received their food. We ordered and it seems like what took forever for our food to come. I never received a refill of my club soda. The server stopped by a couple of times, but we had to ask a runner for the check. On a positive note...the Smoke Pit Beans are yum, yum, yum!!! read more

Smoke Daddy - Barbeque Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We came here right before a cubs game. It was quite busy- but where else can you see the game on the big screen? With it being a Sunday, we had the choice of brunch or lunch. While the brunch sounded fantastic, we opted for some pulled pork and brisket. The prices were fantastic- a sandwich and a side for $10-$12? Unbeatable. The meat was cooked to perfection and the Mac n cheese was quite good. THE BEST PART? The corn bread. It was so moist and grilled I would tell everyone to order the corn bread as a side. read more

The burnt ends deviled eggs are . The staff is super nice, too! Great barbecue! It was difficult to decide on a menu item.

Great trivia night and service! Excellent ambiance and delicious food. I had such a great time here and would highly recommend!
