If I could give this establishment negative stars I would. We booked a birthday party reservation here and had the absolute worst experience. The staff was incredibly rude to us. I don't have anything good to say. read more

Smoke Daddy - The Barnyard Sandwich- this brisket combo was delish! - Barbeque Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I recently stopped by with several friends and was pleasantly surprised by the great eats and atmosphere at Smoke Daddy's. We had the baby back ribs as well as the shredded pork sandwich which were perfectly prepared. The ribs were fall off the bone tender which is my preference and generously glazed with sauce. I'm a sauce guy so was happy to have my choice of several flavors. Now the sides! Meaty meaty bbq beans were crave-able and the Mac and cheese was way above average. A shout out to Carl who served us at the bar and created cocktail worthy specialty mocktails for us as well as an epic Sidecar. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

Good food, good drink, great location. Great place to get some food and drinks before a game !

I went to smoke daddy for a special event; arguably the best way to experience a business for the first time; yes, sometimes you could be limited to what the sponsors want to be served ( in this case the drinks, a new whiskey) but businesses put the best foot forward to please corporate clients, and Smoke Daddy sure did that during this event. The sponsor was Crown Royal introducing Texas Mesquite; a limited edition whiskey infused with Texas Mesquite wood flavor; an exquisite smoky, mellow and sweet whiskey that will coat and linger in your mouth. Smoke Daddy served a series of cocktails using Texas Mesquite perfectly executed to suit any taste. Additionally, they provided the food, and here is where they shined; not your typical bar food what they serve is worthy of a stand alone restaurant. From brisket to pulled pork, pulled chicken and all the trimmings of a smoke house restaurant. For this event, the food was served buffet style, so the dish on the picture doesn't reflect the culinary skills of the house, instead, it shows my desire to taste various items since they all look, smell and taste so good. Smoke Daddy's own barbecue sauces are available at every table in 3 flavors from sweet to hot, for customers to indulge themselves with the amount they desire. Located across the street from Wrigley field, the atmosphere is infectiously festive, even when the Cubs are not in town. The view of the park from the upper deck is a dream for Cubs fans and the lower level offers live music so game days is not the only reason to visit Smoke Daddy. My suggestion, visit on game day, try to get a table on the second floor deck and suck in the pre game carnival of Wrigley Field. But I warned you, use a designated driver because there is a good chance you won't want to leave  until the last fan does. I'm already planning my next visit. read more

I went here for a Crown Royal event so my review is based upon the food they served us there. We had the top floor. First, you walk in and you smell bbq right off the bat. It smelled great! So welcoming! The bottom floor was to the public and I thought it was nice, too. They had live music! It got loud so if are by the stairs upstairs, you will definitely hear the music. They are singing true to the blues part of their tag. I'm big on street art and murals so I loved that the corridors leading to the bathrooms were painted. They laid out a nice spread of cornbeard, Wrightwood salad, small buns for sandwiches, pulled chicken, brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, and s'mores. I think I found my favorite salad of the summer, too! I went back to get more salad. I have only had s'mores once before this event and I grabbed 1 - loved it then grabbed 2 more on my second plate. They were very tasty. Overall, I'd definitely recommend going here. I'd go again if I was seeing a game at Wrigley or close by! read more

I went here for the VIP private Crown Royal Texas Mesquite launch party. Barbeque, blues, drinks and more! This location is right across the street from Wrigley Field. No, you will not be able to watch a Cubs game from here, but they have a lot of big screen TV's where you can watch a variety of sports. I'm sure they feature the Cubs games while they are playing. We were here on a Wednesday night and the first floor was half full! Not bad for a week night. They are really crowded on weekends and during Cub home games. Our event was on the second floor, with a full bar, lots of tables, and a great rooftop/balcony space that overlooks Clark street. Two levels of great barbecue, music and drinks! We had a wonderful buffet of salad, cornbread, rolls, smoked meats: chicken, brisket, and pork, macaroni and cheese, barbecue beans and smores for dessert. Everything was delicious with a great smoky flavor. All of the meats were tender and moist. They have 3 choices of hot sauce on the tables, but, I felt that the meat was so good, that they didn't need any sauce at all. I definitely will return here for the food, music and drinks! read more

We love going to Smoke Daddy for the bottomless brunch -- it's a preposterously good deal that includes unlimited starters, an entree, and unlimited beverages (beyond plain mimosas). The starters are hearty enough that I typically box up most of my entree for dinner :). Minus 1 stars for the EXTREMELY loud live music they occasionally have on the first floor. The band was good, but the acoustics reverberate the sound and made for an extraordinarily uncomfortable experience. We ended up moving to the 2nd floor and were able to enjoy the rest of the meal. read more

carnage. always so impressed with this place! i've come multiple times before a cubs game for its proximity to the stadium, awesome food, and lively atmosphere. it is loud and chaotic on a game day, but that just adds to the fun of it! whether you are by the bar with the windows open downstairs or out on the balcony upstairs, this is a must-see place read more

I was initially introduced to Smoke Daddy via their food truck that sat on Southport Ave for the majority of the Summer. I always saw the chalk art on the sidewalks and the truck but I recently decided to check them out and I wish I had visited sooner. Smoke Daddy offers so many meat options to choose from which makes it hard to decide when you first visit. I was happy that they offer a platter that allows you to choose two meats and two sides. I have visited Smoke Daddy a few times since my first visit and I have been able to try all of the meats offered with the platter. They offer pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, and burnt ends as options for the platter. I always get the platter because it is a bang for your buck and it gives me the opportunity mix up my meats. I still haven't mixed up my meats from the brisket and burnt ends but if I wanted to, I could. I highly recommend the brisket, it is so juicy and has a nice fat to meat ratio. I normally pair it with the burnt ends because they are delicious and not too charred unlike a lot of places that sale burnt ends. I have also tried the pulled chicken and pulled pork which are both delicious so you can't go wrong with either of the options. My sides typically consists of the mac-n-cheese and cornbread. The meat tends to be consistent but the sides are hit or miss. On my most recent visit the mac-n-cheese was giving boxed mac-n-cheese vibes but the cornbread was good and the previous visit it was the opposite problem. Honestly, you are really going for the meat so a mediocre side here and there isn't the worst. read more

Excellent food and drinks! Great service! Would come back! This place is a great place to try out bbq! Their beans are great!

Very fun atmosphere with good drinks and food. 10/10 recommend. Our server was very attentive.

Mediocre at best and I wouldn't come here again unless pressed. There are a lot of places to eat in Wrigley and this just isn't it. They just aren't prepared for an average Saturday night in Chicago. They're out of chicken wings and running low on ribs at 8:15pm. Lol. You dont get to call yourself "Smoke Daddy" and you're out of wings and Cajun catfish on Saturday at 8pm. Shocked that there was a game at Wrigley were we? Further the restaurant was short staffed and the hostess was on her personal phone and made us wait until she finished chatting on her call before seating us. I had to go to the bar to start our order because we were waiting a long time for someone to come by to give us water. Now here's the kicker - it was NOT crowded. This smells like poor management, from the floor to the kitchen. In the final analysis it's all Smoke and very little Daddy. Look elsewhere in Wrigley. At least the fries were good. read more

I thought this place was awesome. I had a pulled pork bbq sandwich which was fresh, moist and large in size and every bite was delicious. The 4 bbq sauces were all great - I think the spicy one was my favorite. Love the view of Wrigley Field across the street. This will be a must stop on every visit to Chicago from here on. read more

Contrary to the first bad reviews here this was pretty good. My sister recommended it as she's been to the one in Wicker Park. Food was fast. Copilot got the cornbread and I stole a bite, it was excellent. Stole a bite of my sister's baked beans also excellent. I got the ribs/burnt ends and pork combo. All good IMHO, ribs weren't falling off the bone so I had to get after them with both hands but were tasty. Got the crusty portion of pulled pork and they and the burnt ends were delightful. Tried a dab of each of their table sauces and hot sauce, wasn't personally a fan of any of those. Won't even deduct a star for the cities stupid mask and vax rules. And the music wasn't that bad???? read more

I came here with my son who has severe food allergies, and is limited on where and what he can eat. I let our server, Chris, know when we sat down, and without hesitation he brought out the chef to talk through the menu with us. It made my family feel so safe, and I am so happy to be able to add this restaurant to our short list of places we can go as a family. The food and ambiance were great as well! read more

Awful... sorry for 1 star reviews but the first plates came out cold. Waitress replaced them with room temp food. Everything drenched in BBQ sauce. Smoke Daddy - Brisket, burnt ends, mac & cheese, cornbread - Barbeque Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place HIT. DA. SPOT. We originally wanted to eat at the Mexican restaurant next door but they couldn't seat us outside and charged $15 for a reservation!!! Either way on to the good stuff Burnt Ends Sandwich: Thought this was spot on, normally burnt ends are either too fatty or too burnt that it over powers the taste. But this sandwich was the right amount of both, just enough fat so you can taste the meat and just feel a little guilty for eating something so GOOD! And enough crisp that you know it's burnt ends. Only critique would be the sauces, wish they had some better sauces. Don't get me wrong they got a lot to choose from but the sauce IMO were just okay. Either way the sandwich is bomb and fries were crispy too! Brisket Nachos: Boyyy were these good! Brisket was on a-whole-mother level. I mean just look at the picture, Oh God that looks good. Tasted even better too! Too hard to explain that you should just order it and let it do the talking! Will definitely be back (maybe even tomorrow) read more

Best bottomless brunch in the city!! Affordable and delicious. Servers are always kind and attentive.

I didn't have super high expectations for BBQ in Chicago but I am so glad we decided to eat here before watching a Cubs game next door at Wrigley Field. The brisket sandwich was great and among the best I've had (I've had BBQ in Austin and KC). The drink options were also pretty good. We enjoyed sitting on the roof patio and checking out all the people making their way to the game. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Wanted food and love music... we got both but not to the caliber I was expecting. The bourbon mules were good and the coleslaw as a side was very good as well however the rest of our food was not as amazing. It lacked taste for a BBQ joint. They had run out of the pork so settled for pulled chicken. Overall, it was not bad but definitely not as good as other places. And the music was "jazz" but was putting whatever crowd was left to sleep.... read more

Great ambiance. Family style brunch is great for a large group. Go cubs!! Drinks are awesome too. Server is great!!

Went here for brunch two weeks ago. We arrived just as they were opening on Saturday morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bartender, I think his name was Brian, tended to my husband, and I as we waited for the rest of our party. He brought us over water and coffee immediately. We went for the family sale, all you can eat brunch. For $19 you get to choose an egg entrée prepared the way you'd like. That is accompanied by a platter of pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit, salad, and hashbrowns... OMG, the hashbrowns! These were not just ordinary hashbrowns. They were packed with seasoning, herbs, cheese, and so tasty! The great thing about the bottomless breakfast is they will bring you over more of anything you'd like. For an additional $27 you can get bottomless drinks. These included mimosas, brunch, punch, and a spritzer. I had the punch which was southern comfort with orange/pineapple juice. Delicious!! The atmosphere is more like a sports bar, TV's all around. The Cubs were away the weekend we were there, so things are quiet. I'm sure when they're home you could get a route of your crowd inside. Highly recommend the brunch and drinks! Well worth some money. read more

Smoke Daddy definitely has the best BBQ in Wrigley IMO! You can't beat the smoked meats and location. Smoke Daddy's is directly across the street from Wrigley Field. I recommend sitting on the second level rooftop area, which overlooks Gallagher Way. We came before the Zac Brown concert at Wrigley Field and it was the perfect spot for drinks and food pre-concert. We split the Big City Eats which included ribs, chicken and brisket. For our sides we choose baked beans, coleslaw and Mac and cheese. We also added the cornbread. The meats were delicious and the sides were just as good as well as decent sized portions. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us to split. You must get the cornbread! We both got the Irish Orange Mule and it paired perfect with the BBQ. We will be back soon! read more
